    1. Have you noticed that a lot of Bradley IFVs bound for Ukraine don’t have the main guns protruding. A few years ago, I saw Bradleys in that state transported in Poland (on video, not in actuality). I wonder if the guns are removed for transportation or if they can be retracted into the turrets.

      1. Weird, must be for transpiration, but why? They don’t store barrels inside turrets AFAIK.

        1. When I saw that in Poland, I thought they might have had a shortage of guns and decided that vehicles in that state would still do for an exercise, but Ukraine is obviously not a drill, so I would imagine the guns are either shipped separately or retracted into the turrets. What puzzles me most is that hardly anybody seems to be paying any attention to it (only one person in the comments for that old video wondered).

          2. I think you’re talking about vehicles that are not supposed to have any armaments. That’s different from having those removed, especially since Bradley were donated specifically for offensive purposes.

      2. Gun barrels wear out, so they are designed to be fairly easy to remove, to replace. It would be fairly easy to remove them to avoid damage in transit.

        1. They don’t do it with any other vehicle, though (as far as I’m aware), so must be something specific to the Bradley.

          1. Probably when they put them in storage they removed barrels (maybe to use them as spares for vehicles in service) now they will get new barrels in a depot before they are deployed.

    Hopefully this totally unnecessary war caused by US beginning under Clinton, can come to an end without 100M Americans being incinerated or thousands of American lives lost in Europe.
    Trump was right. The American tax payer should not be paying for the defense and security of Europe.
    Europe has the 3rd largest economy on earth and 600M people.
    Let them fend for themselves.
