The Decline And Fall Of The American Empire

The Termites Are In The Woodwork

I will start by saying that right now I don’t believe a word of what is being said by any branch, part, or employee of the Federal government — nor should you. Until it is confirmed by a reliable and reputable source, don’t trust it or them.

Have balloons been used for intelligence work before? Yes, pretty much since those wacky French brothers got things going on this side of the world. Did the Chinese float three across the U.S. under Trump? No. That story is deflating fast, but not fast enough.

  1. Would the stations that monitor nuclear contamination operating in the US and Canada announce or hide any nuclear fallout measured after the balloon was shot down or while it drifted right across the middle of the US?

    Anyone , anyone?

    1. Rich, Invariably, they will say what feels comfortable, what they can get away with or what they are told to say.

Nuclear whistleblowers end up attending their own funeral.

    2. Anyone with a half-decent Geiger-counter can detect small increases in background radiation.
What you are doing is called “fear-mongering”
Even if it did have a little chunk of some radioisotope in it, those cannot be detected unless your’e in the immediate vicinity of it, so these “nuclear fallout stations”, while OK to measure fallout from meltdowns and major incidents, are completely useless for little chunks of radioactive stuff.

        1. “They” are not equipped to “find” anything of this nature.
Heck, even the Nuclear Boy Scout, back in the 1990s, in the middle of a city, went unnoticed until the cops pulled him over and he told them he had a bunch of radioactive material in his car, and he experimented for months, and increased the background radiation level over many thousands of square feet, in a freakin’ city.
The only way to detect stuff like this would be to have a grass-roots organization of citizens monitoring background radiation levels, posting them to a website that can collate and interpret the data, etc.

          1. Last try.

The Nuclear Boyscout used really small amounts ie. smoke detectors.

Let’s say all of what you said is true.
Why are you assuming the amount would be too small to detect?

And would they “announce or hide” their findings if the levels were detectable ?
I think they would ignore their duty and obfuscate like Billy Mike noted above.

            You?

    3. Three went by while Trump was Pres..UNDETECTED… So..How did they know?..

      1. The same way that 50 people in the intelligence community “knew” that Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation.

  2. “…oath sworn to the Constitution and the Republic, ”
That part made me laugh. And yes there is an Air Force base in Myrtle Beach. Toured it in 1976 and still have a long-range photo taken with one of those Kodak Instamatic cameras of an A-10 being built.

  3. Seems to me one 50 cal tracer round would have deflated it slowly for a semi- controlled decent and acquisition of whatever tech/spyware it held. Surely to God someone thought of something like that and cooked up a delivery system in over a week of opportunities.

    1. Nope. This thing was about 8 miles higher than the F-22’s flight ceiling. 50 cals have an effective range of maybe 2-3 miles, and that’s at the same elevation. A 20mm wouldn’t cut it either.

      1. Wrong…..the F-22 flight ceiling is 60,000 feet. (Likely higher). The balloon was at 60-65,000 feet. It is reported that the F-22 fired the missile from 58,000 ft.

  4. If the USS Little Rock is going to the scrapyard, will the Lieberals end up buying it? Asking for a submariner friend.

  5. The Chinese own the woodwork and have genetically modified the termites.

Our affluence has made us soft and lethargic. We could care less as long as we can watch Netflix.

It’ll be a swift and sudden takeover.

  6. From the comments:

“WHO TOLD CANADA NOT TO SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON ?? I hope that question gets asked because the balloon spent a lot of time in Canadian airspace and all the newsies treat it like it went directly from the Aleutian Islands to Butte , Montana in 5 min. With all that fruit salad on display one of them oughta know the answer.”

Good question. Do we have an Air Force with, you know, missiles and things?

    1. It apparently passed over Alaska, too.
Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to shoot down balloons that cost maybe $200-$1000 is the best idea ever.

    2. radio pravda went with a CNN anal-yst (former intel official, again d’uh)
      cuz
      vee know noth-ink

    3. I suggest Trudeau elected to let the spy balloon pass Canada safely so as not to upset the Hong-couverites.

    4. Our air defence capability is negligible, committed to joint air defence of North America led by the U.S.A., and there’s no reason to think the head of our government is less friendly to the CCP than the American’s is.

  7. Forgive my ignorance, but where’s NORAD? Or do they only work one night a year, tracking Santa?

    1. I believe they STOPPED tracking Santa, because he’s a “Saint” … and “Saints” make our non-Christian citizens … unnnnnn-cum-ffff-ter-ble. And shooting down Chyyynahhh spy balloons would “trigger” AAPI hate … just like happened when Trump’s “racist” blaming of the Chyyynahhh-Coms for the COVID virus.

  8. If our American (and Canadian) military don’t already have written procedures and protocols for *ahem* … dealing with slow-speed incursions from spy balloons (let alone any other sub-space vehicles) into our airspace … then we have incompetent leadership, and an incompetent Defense Dept. The real question is … WHERE … is the leadership problem? Is it in our military? Or is it simply in the White House? Perhaps the military laid out their various plans for ELIMINATING the threat … but the unelected handlers of our brain damaged POTUS shot them down? Shot down our Military leaders advice … not the spy balloon.

Speaking as someone on the West Coast … ground zero for a ChiCom vaporization of American cities … yeah … Silicon Valley would be ELIMINATED … so much for the “clean, green” environment of Tesla-driving Palo Alto … I sincerely HOPE the FAILED leadership, nay the traitorship… is located in the political class. Perhaps even the leftiest of leftist leadership (sic) will deploy our “Star Wars” defense to save their “partners” in Silicon Valley?

Much has been prognosticated about whether any such incursion would have been allowed by a Trump Administration. This, to go along with a Russian incursion into Ukraine. Yet, when Trump “talked tough” to the Ukraine President … he was impeached. Yeah … it takes a massive hive of voracious termites to impeach a Peacetime President over NOTHING. And we’d be $ 110B wealthier as a nation. I pray we don’t look back at the blatant election theft of 2020 … and wonder whether we could have SAVED America by an honest tally of LEGAL votes.

I have little doubt … that if Donald Trump was President NOW … and shot down the Chyyyynaahhhh balloon over the Aleutians … he’d be impeached (again) … for “warmongering” and risking a nuclear retaliation. For “provoking” our Enemies. Be honest … you know that’s EXACTLY what would happen … followed by ANTIFA/BLM rioting and looting.

And yeahhhh … now Bidinh has LIED by saying he wasn’t briefed till Wed. (Montana overfly) about the Spy balloon. He’s thrown our Military under the short bus of his Admin. He’s either a rotten LIAR … or our military are utterly incompetent. I choose to believe the former … not the latter … for the health and safety of my Nation.

    1. Masters of the Obvious.

The military is incompetent; but very diverse and tolerant.

Tolerance: the last thing I want from war-fighters.

    2. Unfortunately it’s both. But not the rank and file of the military, but those buffoons who are the “leaders”. They are absolute clowns.

  9. Well Kenji, the pentagon has a contingency plan for everything except for what actually happens.

But I would hazard a guess that it was well known what to do.

  10. Outwitted, outflanked, and outfoxed by the ChiCom’s. Aided and abetted by the traitorous legacy media … who all nonchalantly reported … “weather balloon” … we don’t shoot down “weather balloons” that are collecting “global warming” data … to help “save our planet”. Nothing to see here … carry on.

Anyone who doesn’t understand this incident could very well be the Gulf of Tonkin incident lighting the fuse for Superpower Nuclear conflagration… is not thinking clearly.

And anyone who doesn’t believe the most EVIL of the axis of EVIL are taking advantage of a weak, traitorous, US Admin. … is not just thinking poorly … they’re as mentally compromised as our Dear Leader.

    1. The most evil of the axis of evil is right here at home.
Has been for a long time.
America and the west in general has been telegraphing either weakness or insanity for a long time.
If I recall correctly, a little over 20 years ago, I forget the date, there was a major terror attack on an American city, I forget which one, killing around 3000 people and throwing the entire country into a panic, an attack funded and carried out by agents of the Saudi gov’t, and no repercussions were doled out to the Saudis, in fact, all the high-ranking Saudis were flown out of the USA even as all other flights were grounded, instead, and it was eventually used as a pretext to invade Iraq.
If the US thinks a balloon is worth going to war over, well then…

        1. Not as long as we have enough of our own oil, which we do.
The Saudi citizens are paying less than $2.50/gallon for gasoline, and we have more oil than they do.

        1. Yes … WE … shot down the Chyyynahhh balloon … it’s THEY who will be issuing the Gulf of The Carolina’s resolution to escalate their Cold War against the U.S.

  11. I laugh at the excuse the Biden administration gave for not shooting the thing down much earlier. They claim they didn’t want it to hit anybody on the ground. So by that logic, would the Biden administration allow safe passage for a Chinese high flying spy plane to fly across the country? Their excuse is absolutely laughable. Of course, the entire Biden administration is laughable.

    1. Which … BTW … on 9-11George Bush had scrambled fighter jets to shoot down any remaining airliners that had been hijacked. I don’t recall a single person wringing their hands about potential crash sites. It’s WAR. It’s an ACT of WAR against our nation to drive spy balloons over our defenses.

Hint: NOW is the time to invoke the EMERGENCY War Powers Act! Not for some “scary” virus …

  12. Not to worry, the Pentagon has assured us the data the weather balloon was gathering was not being transmitted back to China. Apparently the wily Chinese lack the technology to create a satellite uplink and depend on VHS tapes to store what data they were collecting. How exactly the Pentagon knew the data wasn’t being transmitted in real time I do not know, but I trust them implicitly. I mean, if you can’t trust the military not to lie about such things, who can you trust?

    1. Better still … The Chyynahhh-Coms were sending realtime data collected by their benign “weather” balloon back to Chyynahhh as encrypted files. Who encrypts “weather” data?
