    And the 2008 financial crisis was not caused by “the Western regime’s pursuit of power.” It was caused by an enormous real estate bubble fueled by lax mortgage regulations that collapsed catastrophically, and financial instutions who got lazy and often outright unethical.

    1. It wasn’t the financial institutions. It was government pressuring them to give mortgages to people who couldn’t pay them.

        For centuries banking had a very simple business model. Take deposits from people who want a safe place to store their money and pay them a small amount of interest. Take most of that money and lend it to people WHO YOU DEEM HAVE THE ABILITY TO PAY IT BACK, and charge them a higher rate of interest. The difference in the interest rate is the bank’s revenue.

        It worked, and only the government deciding they had a problem with the words I capitalized broke the model.

Isn’t it amazing Dirtman … just how thoroughly the government media complex … that spawned No-no mortgages … No down payment, no job mortgages … did a bang up job on concealing the simple, fundamental cause of the collapse by blaming “credit default swaps” and other such RESULTS of their brain dead “proooooooogressive” banking policies?

        They’ve papered over the simple cause of it all with gobbledegook… confusing an easily confused public.

  2. I think it’s unfair to the legacy of President Jimmy Carter’s incompetence to not mention his part of the 2008 financial crisis.

    I’m not going to blame “greedy capitalists” for all the problems in Ukraine prior to knowing what is to be told of the Biden Crime Syndicate’s involvement there, as well as the possibility of semi secret labs creating new toxins in Ukraine.

    There are simply too many unknowns as of yet, and the fat lady hasn’t even warmed up.
    When the US sends expert military hardware (Abrams tanks, F-16’s) to Ukraine, what is the US going to do if/when Russians shoot some of them dead? It may not be certain, but it’s a possibility, and the US isn’t going to “just take it”.
    It isn’t going to be Ukranians flying those jets.
    Biden hasn’t gone to Congress and asked for a declaration of war, and hasn’t offered any plan on Ukraine.

    2. Free Speech means constantly exercising your critical thinking skills. It’s the price we pay for sometimes allowing the truth to be spoken.

  4. My first response would be “Define ‘Western Regime'”. I’m sure that term has meaning in the local politics being discussed but without an internal scoreboard to keep straight the players being discussed the message may as well be in Sanskrit. 😛

  9. Interesting. It was no longer feasible to see dead and broken “brown” bodies in the desert sands of the Middle East … but now The Daily Mail (and others) happily show white skinned Russians getting blown up by noble Ukrainian soldiers fighting for our “International” Institutions.

    Reminds me of when Bill Clinton ordered NATO jets to blow up white Yugoslavians to appease their brown-skinned, Muslim enemies. Clinton decided to take the side of “the browns” in a thousand year conflict in Kosovo. He used WHITE ethnic cleansing to solve brown ethnic cleansing. None of our involvement there meant anything to me … until we suddenly had a Muslim POTUS.

    Vietnam, and all the conflicts were a search for an ideal proxy war against an ever hated boogie man. They had been searching and now they found it. He’s right.

    They can fire off all the ordnance they want, experiment any untested military device they want on live humans all they want with no repercussions or oversight.

    AND….. have idiots cheer it on.
