None of these contortions would be necessary if we acknowledged the fact that “trans women” are not women at all, but either intact or surgically altered, mentally ill, biological males that cross dress and should not be housed in womens’ prisons, period. The truth makes all circumstances easier to handle, lying always increases complexity.

  13. The solution is simple; rather than having men’s and women’s prisons, have penis prisons and non-penis prisons. No need, then, to agonize over what a woman is.

    Although one can then expect long, tortuous debates about what a penis is. If a penis identifies as a non-penis, is it then a non-penis?

  16. Back in the day, do remember reading an article which said that the Scottish IQ had been substantially lowered because so many brighter Scots had moved elsewhere. Which might explain why Ms Sturgeon is able to push through her idiocies.
    Our family, on various sides, has Scottish heritage. But we’re all still essentially working in the private sector and don’t have family wealth or trust funds backing us, so we’re all very aware of budgets and the necessity of keeping expenditures under revenues (both corporate and family).
