Speaking of an oil crisis, I went grocery shopping yesterday and noted cooking oil was $16 US per gallon. (Tomatoes were $5 per pound.) We’re going to have to start drawing lots in my family to decide who eats on which days if this keeps up.
My son has three kids and two dogs and his weekly grocery bills are now over $800 a week, closing in on $1,000. I wonder how long the terminally stupid Canadians think this can continue?

California governor Gavin Newsom is in the running. Michelle Obama has been suggested (it’s hers if she wants it). Too many Americans have a totally irrational hatred of the Donald. Maybe he could beat Newsom, but Obama is very popular, she would beat him rather easily.
Even though he would arguably be the best president, chances of his becoming the president don’t look good. DeSantis would be a better choice for Republican candidate.
