3. A voting age of less than 24 discriminates against wisdom. Mind you, why stop at 16?

      A good point. I mean if a sixteen year-old has the maturity to vote, surely a 13 year old should be able to drive responsibly and a 10 or 12 year old should be legally able to own guns.

      1. Lowering the age to 16 would legally make them adults and thus to be tried for crimes as such and placed in adult prisons.

5. 16 year old’s generally have no responsibilities therefore they have no right to vote.

   However, it needs to be prioritized last in a lengthy list, not the least of which is contained herein. If you’re old enough to vote, you’re old enough to:
   1) purchase, sell & own firearms & ammunition;
   2) pay income tax;
   3) get conscripted into the armed forces;
   4) purchase alcohol, tobacco & Trudope;
   5) get tried as an adult for a crime and spend time in an adult prison;

   OK, now you can vote.

   (In case you haven’t noticed, #1 will be a non-starter for Progs. Heads will explode. The balance is just there for eye candy)

      Back then I believe 16 was also the minimum age to purchase firearms and ammunition. That was before Pierre foisted the Firearms Acquisition Certificate.
