    1. Yup … they can now switch to bugs as that will certainly work.
BTW : Daughter’s friend is in advertising and mentioned that A&W meatless burgers have the same ingredients as dog food … less two items … bon appetite !

      1. That’s cruel to dogs.

The Kim dynasty knew how to control the population with food.

  1. It’s likely that their “net zero” campaign is costing them a fortune as well.

I hear that the pea processing facility in Portage La Prairie is seeing its market for plant based foods shrink. They are frantically trying to market liquid pea meal to hog producers to try to take up the slack.

  2. That and going carbon neutral. How the hell did they think they were going to smoke ham and bacon? For that reason I won’t buy any Maple Leaf branded products.
Perhaps we can force them to sell Schneiders to a reputable firm?

  3. “Canadians take pride in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which they believe is among the most robust in the world. ” Ladies and gentlemen, garbage like I’ve quoted from the FinPo is why I don’t support mainstream media. Canadians know well how useless the Charter of Permissions really is.

  4. I have no problems with protein powders…which have really gone up in price.

I’d even try their fake meat crap if it was 25% of the price of real meat. But no, all the fake crap was the same price or even more expensive than the real thing. Even now….

And since I don’t have a hot, unvaxxed, vegan college chick to impress, I’ll pass.

    1. Stateless, Ya know, I’ve never even checked the pricing of the fake meat gruel. I guess in some deep recess of my brain, I thought it must be cheaper than the real stuff, but I wouldn’t try it at 10% of the price! Next time out, I’ll check the pricing out of curiosity, but if the pricing is same, similar, or more, than real, then the only reason to buy it is for virtual signalling. I wonder if pets would even eat that crap? (has anyone tried?)

As for a hot, unvaxxed, vegan college chick to impress, that indeed would be a very rare “bird” indeed!

  5. How many times do we have to see it before companies realize it’s a ‘thing’?
    Get woke, go broke.

  6. But Jagmeet said they were making record profits.

Looks like they’ve bought into the NDP mantra ‘profits are bad’

  7. So they wanted to change their core business to vegan? I haven’t been back to A&W since they started trying to kill their own business. Mission accomplished.
