  1. Lol

    “Fruck around, frind out”?

Pretty good business model too no? Make them dependent on you for free….then start charging for that formerly free service.

    1. It’s the business model used by drug dealers all over the world. Think about that.

    2. Sounds like pretty much ANY SOFTWARE company on the planet too….you can buy their product outright, then in 3-5 years you get an “update” and you’re told FLAT Out, pay monthly for something you already paid $299 USD for

      ADOBE comes to mind.
      mofo’s…tis why I use software I don’t/won’t pay for.
Classic shakedown like the mob or Zelenski
They all can kiss my (_i_)

  2. Good for Elon, we are still trying to figure out if Elon is a White Hat good guy or a FILTHY LIBERAL CIA tool. Twitter is the Deep State. Period. This move ticks a box for the White Hats…Can’t wait for the unrest and purge of all FILTHY LIBERALS that enjoyed ruining the lives of fellow citizens. FILTHY LIBERALS

    1. Anyone receiving large amounts of government cash is a government lackey. It goes without saying.

      1. My gut instinct has been against this guy from the get go.
Lately i like him,i could be another rube, time will tell.

    2. Musk is a Chaotic Neutral Level 20 Sh*tposter. The best place to be in regards to him is to the side, sitting in a lawnchair, with a beer in hand.

  3. Nice satellites you’re using there, Ukraine. Be a shame if something happened to ’em, ya know? Things break. You know. They might, you know, catch fire.

  4. Pentagon tries some shit about Starlink, suddenly no one can get to or from the ISS….gotta love Elon and how he plays the game.

    1. And Biden nationalizes one, two, or all of Elon’s companies.

Would Biden’s advisors get dementia Joe to do it?

  5. I am pretty sure, by inference only, and a couple of semi related news stories, that Russia has developed the capability to jam Starlink on the battlefield, which has caused serious problems for Ukraine, cutting off the marionette strings from their NATO puppet masters. Ukraine whined about catastrophic failures due to loss of Starlink, for one.

Of course the cry-baby Ukrainians blamed Musk, and started demonizing him.

  6. A ukrainian comment thread:

// Very interesting statement from @elonmuskre Ukrainian StarLink and how damaging it is for
    @SpaceX economics. […]
I have not seen ANY StarLink which was bought by the governments, or by SpaceX.
All the Starlinks I have seen / used – were bought either by volunteers like myself, or soldiers put their personal money in.
The subscription price is also paid out of the pocket. //

The U.S. government bought most of these for Ukraine.
One cynic suggests that this claim is an attempt to get the government to pay for his twitter acquisition.

  7. I do wish sometimes that Elon would mind his own business – y’know, just like I wish champagne-swilling, biz-jetting movie stars would stop haranguing us about global warming – but honestly, it’s hard to argue with him on this. If he’ll set-up a GiveSendGo account, I’ll help pay for the Ukrainians to keep using it…

  8. Elon’s idea of peace is to buy the Russians off, with Ukrainian people and territory . Best information is that 95% of Ukrainians consider that unacceptable.

Maybe, just maybe, the Ukrainians should have a say in that….. and right now they are saying that they are no more willing to be bought with a few satellites, than they are intimidated by Russian tanks.

Sometimes, people like Elon need to consider that they are not automatically the smartest man in every room.
