Living In A Reality Distortion Bubble

The Spectator- The last of the Covidians

These were the people who had apoplectic fits if your mask dipped below your nose, who starred in viral video after viral video of grocery store freakouts and carseat diatribes. Even the quiet ones would glare molten steel into the maskless, their angry and disgusted eyes visible over their mask-hidden scowls.

So how should those of us who have moved on from the sad piano music television ads and the daily crunching of Covid numbers deal with those who are bitterly clinging to their pandemic?

I suppose kindness ought to be the order of the day — but didn’t kindness get us into this mess in the first place? Wasn’t part of the reason Americans allowed the absurd and arbitrary lockdown measures — ignored by their betters — to linger so long a desire to be kind to the terrified?

  1. I will never forgive nor forget the Branch Covidians whose brain dead worship at the altar of pseudo-scientific medical fascism brought us to this point. They will always be my existential enemies and I will not lift a finger to help them or even save them. They can all die prematurely as far as I’m concerned.

    1. My question to the Branch Covidians is quite simple: what’s YOUR number?

The government told them to stay home, lock down, wear a mask, etc., because they believed the government “had a number” that told them it was an emergency.

Now…the governments says “its ok, come out of the bunker, take off your mask, etc.”.

But NOW…they don’t believe the government?

Oh, and if their number is zero, i.e., no cases of a coronavirus, anywhere in the world, at any time…man, do I have some bad news for them.

As well: once they give us a their number, they have to live by it. Masks on and hunkering down at home until we get to this number.

  2. Half of my family is firmly committed to the way of the Fauci, and tracks availability of the latest Covid booster like a cat watching a mouse. No point in even trying to dissuade them from the insanity. The now extensively documented damage done by the pseudo-medical Purge doesn’t influence the True Believers.

    Lemmings gonna lemming.

    1. Half my family too, terrified of being near us because we didn’t get the jab. We had the original version of COVID in 2020, survived it just fine and are thus better immunized naturally than any multiple of vaccines, but they (highly educated intellectuals) don’t recognize natural immunity. They seem to regard us as walking plagues, wouldn’t even have lunch in a restaurant with us. How can otherwise rational, intelligent people be so completely bamboozled?

Not surprising, they’re fervent global warmunists too.

Same arrogance shown, same form of excommunication. Not allowed in their premises due to wife n I being purebloods…but hey, they were soooo much smarter than us right. ?

  3. Just let the shots do their work….

And from France, here’s a vaxxed injured politician.
    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/10/french-politician-ex-presidential-candidate-jean-lasalle-says-covid-vaccine-nearly-killed-claims-macron-others-faked-vax-status/

I do believe most politicians worldwide actually got the jabs. Simply because, where does the faking stop.

Let’s say every MP doesn’t get the jab. Their not going to let their parents and kids die. What about close family friends? The chicks they’re banging to the side? The circle just grows and grows. And since ALL these people have to sell the lie, you’d want them to believe the lie themselves. And if they can be bought off with soon to be worthless pieces of paper and cushy jobs, why let them know? I’d also want them dying along with the rest of the population for plausible deniability.

    1. Thank you Stateless, for that link. Have shared it to my small circle -a pebble tossed into a pond.

      Love this
“2020 called and it wants its mindless obedience back.”

  4. Not just individual nut jobs.
How many employers still require everyone to mask up, stop at the little temperature scan podium on the way in, and stand six feet apart everywhere they go?

    1. Nancy

No question at all…it ain’t over yet, just a lull, while “they” gather their artillery…

My phone is 5g, what concerns me from that interview is the notion that any of the “covid testing” gear/material could and may well have been Infused with this AI nano tech….?? Quantum bits etc.

I always wondered why the PCR test “probe” had to be near ramned into my cranium. It was only 1 time, but had I an inkling..? would have refused in no uncertain terms.

      1. Some said even the PCR tests were not safe. We learned that may be a possibility last year but that it was and is yet too soon to tell. Only one test, in your case, might not’ve caused any harm, hopefully, perhaps it’s with ‘multiple’ testing where the harm may be. No one knows.

Enjoy your phone, Theo, safe as long as pureblood.

        P.S.
I have stories and many similar experiences as some here, like yourself and LC Bennett, so many thanks to all of you who’ve described your individual issues with this government over-reach, to put it mildly–it’s a big thanks, more than you’ll ever know.

    1. Well they are clinging to it because they are embarrassed by what is a form of “buyers remorse”…..but they are too shallow to admit they have been had (you see a similar manifestation in people who got sucked into buying an EV). I suspect that a large percentage of the Covidians are in that category…..they were so damned sure of themselves and now they are being made to look like suckers.

      1. Yes! Of course. That too. Still goes. Some have rotten teeth that they’re hiding. That’s a fact, but, beside the point.

        1. From the article:
“Crowds themselves were altered. Young adults were limping, at scale. Men and women in their forties and fifties, who looked as if they had been recently healthy, were now moving like eighty year olds. People in vast numbers, of all ages, walked as if it was hurting them to move. Even teenagers and older children moved like zombies or robots — drifting, with seemingly no energy to spare. Smaller children did not squirm or race around. They sat vacantly on park benches or in restaurants. Or they drifted like little wraiths beside their parents, focused on nothing.

What happened? What happened to humanity?”

    2. I just read the article from Readers Link.

“…We know that Pfizer partnered this year with Acuitas Therapeutics, a private company based in Vancouver, Canada, which manufactured lipid nanoparticles, to bring ten more mRNA-LNP-based vaccines into the market..”

This (Lipid Nano Particulates), was being created in conjunction w/Arbutus Pharmaceutical & UBC as far bk as 2014…which tells me our PM new full well what it was and what it was for…in his first National Security briefing upon becomming PM, that would been front n centre.

  5. Generally, I find kindness and humor works well. If a friend or family member is still wearing a mask then perhaps something like “I miss seeing your smile” might work.

My anger is reserved for those who not only implemented discrimination and segregation policies against the unvaxxed but relentlessly manipulated the vaxxed. Those people – politicians, public health officials, school administrators, etc. – need to be held accountable. Journalists and academics who went along with it by promoting discrimination and segregation policies should be fired for being really awful at jobs requiring critical thinking.

As for the general public? Well, not everyone has the ability to figure out that they are being conned. This isn’t lack of intelligence but more of a lack of cynicism. Authoritarians exploited the psychological quirks of human nature. That being said, people need to think about why they allowed themselves to be manipulated to turn on friends, family and members of their community.

  6. FILTHY LIBERALS. Lets hope after a couple more boosters these bastards die. They are the Enemy. Period. We cant shoot them but we can wish ill will and mock them relentlessly. Its sooo easy. Cultural Marxists are in heat still over their Covid power.

  7. I must admit that a small part of me wouldn’t be sad if what they wished upon me were to happen to them.. 10% back of my mind sort of thing.. Like a game of evil whack a mole.. I don’t need a body count to be right.. But it would be nice if they were to leave me alone and not bring out the worst in me..

Nobody deserves to die because they are stupid.. Myself included.. Nobody deserves to die, period.. This teachers pet pissing contest of covid mandates has not only othered me.. It has othered you as well.. Is this what we have become?

  8. I know lot of Covidians personally that are still living in March of 2020.

There is no reasoning with them. They don’t think they’ve been duped, they think they’re doing the right thing and they’re dismayed as to why mainstream society has moved on. They will cite as evidence that Covid is still circulating, and use this as a reason for maintaining the Covidian lifestyle.

They are mentally, psychologically and spiritually disordered/deranged and at this point I am not sure if they will ever be coming back.

    1. And that’s a good thing! These are the people you want living like miserable turds forever trust me. Take a good look at a mask kook at a store next time. They’re walking dead zombies.

  9. There was SO much wrong with the events of 2020 around the Kung Flu. First, the way seniors were treated, isolating them in their nursing homes with no outside familial support; that alone should be investigated and prosecuted as a Crime Against Humanity. Second, schools. If parents weren’t so cowed by the education establishment, they would have banded together and flatly refused to participate in the “distance learning” bullshit. Simply tell the schools: no classroom, no school Period.
My wife and I were so appalled over what happened in our state of Minnesota that we sold our home and moved across the border into freer South Dakota. Haven’t regretted it for one moment. The medical establishment here was all in on the masking, so I just declined to see any doctors until they got over it. I actually take care of my health on my own. I never once wore a mask, and never have been vaccinated for the Kung Flu (or the regular flu, for that matter). I still see people in stores and walking around with masks; I just smirk and go about my business.

    1. Glenn, Your covid profile is about the same as mine. I’m a pureblood and not even a flu shot in thirty years. I too, shake my head and smile quietly at those still wearing a mask. I live in British Columbia, and the idiotic NDP government here are beyond hope. South Dakota sounds nice, and has a governor with looks and brains. I don’t suppose you would consider adopting a fed up and tired of BS Canadian from BC would you?

  10. I’m traveling in Germany. People on trains and other public transport are required to wear masks. Germans seem to have no problem with this.

Something in the culture that finds comfort in authoritarianism?

    1. Germany still carries with it enormous guilt which has been drummed into their heads for decades. Although it should be remembered that communism was actually a German concept….and its close cousin, fascism, was happily adopted.

  12. I’m not a covid enabler any longer.
I used to tell people that I’d wear a mask or whatever if they wanted.

Back in the early days that seemed like a reasonable thing to do being that I could have been wrong about the vaccine or the virus.
But now it’s so obvious that covid is a cult that I won’t do that any longer.
    They can change, not me.

  13. most covidians with masks appear to be asians , they wear them on the streets and in cars.

wouldnt think the cultural love of masks would have spanned the ocean to soviet cluskerfukastan

  14. Facial recognition denial?
I am ambivalent toward masking now.
I sorta feel masks may be very useful in the days ahead..
Although it might be wise to steal a bureaucrats cellphone while you utilize the advantages of hiding your identity.
Forward to our Brave New Future.

    As for the Gullible’s?
Thank them kindly, under your breath,as you take advantage of these people who proudly signal their position on the “Suckers List”.
They live in an alternate reality, thus it is no crime to “help them” enjoy it.

  15. How do you treat them?
    Point and laugh.

On the plus side, you can walk into Walmart wearing gloves and a mask and but a burner cell phone for cash.

  16. “So how should those of us who have moved on from the sad piano music television ads and the daily crunching of Covid numbers deal with those who are bitterly clinging to their pandemic?”

There is not a “one response fits all” situations. But derision can be useful. At a family gathering last month a Karen said that if it wasn’t for the fact that she had got her 2nd booster, she’d not have graced us (the unjabbed) with her presence. Whereupon several of us started coughing and asked her to make sure she give us a hug and a kiss before she left.

On Friday at the local Legion a school-teacher admitted that the jabs weren’t very effective, but couldn’t resist adding that his decision to get jabbed, with all the information available at the time, was a decision that anyone with a rational (read superior) intellect would have taken.

There was silence for a second or two and then, to the merriment of all except one, an old-timer broke out laughing and loudly exclaimed, “Did you ever hear so much bullshit in your life … and coming from a g-d sheep too!”

  17. I’ve got covid right now for the second time in 6 months. Not much worse than a typical cold. I generally got colds a few times a year anyhow. I guess now they’ll be covid colds. Still not vaccinated and never will be.

    1. What test did they pull on you to say it was Covid? Was it the PCR or rapid test? 90% of the PCR tests are false positives. No one catches the regular flu now, it’s all Covid. Someone said that without the PCR test there would be no pandemic. And they are right.
