  1. If Pierre sticks to what he says and if he gets elected, I might not have to go south when my green card comes.

  2. The best part is the uniparty establishment candidate Charest getting kicked square in the pills. Beware, Laurentian elite, the proles don’t want change, they want your head.

      1. Yep.
Voted for Pierre – way back in the summer; now in the last month, getting desperate Charest emails, which were promptly dumped.

      1. James, I thought I’d heard that the votes for P. Brown were counted,,, not his, as first vote,,, but the second choice. Likely many of them chose Charest as the second choice.

  3. What nobody in the media seemingly wants to talk about is the nearly 700,000 memberships sold, and the nearly 500,000 votes cast in the leadership race.

I’d wager that at least half the current Tory membership have never belonged to any political party. I’d further wager that a double digit percentage of the membership don’t typically vote in elections. And neither of those groups tends to talk to pollsters.

The government’s covid policies and crackdown on peaceful truckers is bearing an electoral fruit that the Liberals may find has a bitter taste.

    1. He connects with a *lot* of ordinary folks across the political spectrum. His YouTube Breakfast with Justin was a grand slam.

      1. “He connects with a *lot* of ordinary folks across the political spectrum.”

Yes. Sadly, any Canadian politician who supports the odious practice of ‘supply management’ will never connect with me.

    2. Yup. I’ve always voted, but never been a member of any political party. I joined to vote for Pierre. He still needs lots of support….he’s fighting not only those jokers in Ottawa, but the bought and paid for media.

Oh, and…I never, ever talk to pollsters!

    3. I will give credit where due: Poilievre’s appeal to youth might actually be more important in the long term than winning the next election.

  4. Jam a crowbar between the Jagmeet’s lips and Trudeau’s a$$ and we’re done. Let’s see if the Dippers are more than just brain dead socialist morons (I know, I’m not holding my breath), but surely enough of them realize that if they go into the next federal election as remoras to Trudeau’s shark, they will be reduced to almost nil.

  5. The insane thing is I bet Trudeau pills the plug this fall. He truly lives in a different reality where he’s popular. His ego will be his downfall.

    1. That would mean a November election. Somehow doubt that. The Liberals need time to paint PP as a dangerous Trump lunatic, or they must move immediately before he has time to bring control over the CP aparatchiks. So it would either be quick, October, or postponed indefinitely.

  6. Scott Adams predicted in 2015 Trump would win the presidency because he recognized Trump is a persuader. PP is absolutely not peddling Trumpism despite the left’s attempts to say so. But like Trump he knows what’s bothering us and he is also a persuader. Articulate with an awesome command of facts and that ability to throw out brilliant word pictures and ‘talk past the sale’. He would demolish Trudeau in debate. That makes him the next PM.

    1. It will be interesting to see how Trudeau avoids a debate with PP.
Round 3 of Covid forces him to skip the debate so he sends CF in his place?
That would be the smartest thing JT could do.
When PP was roasting CF, she’d play the victim card and cry about how PP hates women.
A few percentage points of low information voters would sympathize with her getting demolished in the debate and vote Liberal but the damage of JT on the same stage as PP is so delicious it makes my mouth water.

      1. Prediction: Freeland goes to Nato so she can build her perogie bomb as she helps subjugate Europe. Potatoes goes down to defeat to make way for Mark Climate Change Carney.

      1. “I’d focus on the economy, and Little Potato’s openly-criminal mismanagement of it” – fixed it for you!

  7. I was somewhat surprised to find that an old white guy like me voted for Leslyn Lewis. I knew she wouldn’t win, but she’s the sort of straight-talking no BS woman I respect. And how would the media attack a black, immigrant, single mom?

But Pistol Pete was number 2 on my list, and I’m completely happy with him. No more CINO’s. Jean Charest, please go away.

    1. I did the same. Voted for Leslyn because I respect her courage and honesty. #2 on my ballot was Pierre. I am happy with the win. Canada needs one or more Conservative governments to regain a bit of sanity.

    2. Very disappointing that Charest beat Leslyn Lewis, still too many cino’s in the party.

      1. I’m disappointed in the Charest and Lewis results, too. I know some socon people voted Poilievre, thinking Charest might sneak in. FHe was backed heavily by the Laurentian Elite, so there was some risk.
So Lewis’s results are probably artificially lower than her support really is.

    1. I don’t think so. Pierre is a whole different beast. There’s going to be huge rallies gor him during the eventual campaign. It won’t be Trump level enthusiasm but it’ll be unprecedented.

      1. When Russia invaded Ukraine, 75% of people polled wanted nothing to do with it.

3 weeks later, 75% wanted to fight Russia.

        That’s Media that works.

        Canadian Media.

Take Liberal Bias, Liberal Partisanship, Financial Incentives and add Ignorant,Uninformed , Misinformed, Dumb Ass Canadians to get any result you need.

His wife, family and friends, even Pierre; will be astonished how awful, evil, extreme and dangerous he is.

The Canadian Media has not yet begun.

  8. There must be something seriously wrong with the CPC to even allow a smarmy looking drunk like the Liberal Charest to run. Had the opportunity to see Pierre in Brandon MB. He will be a good PM.

  9. A serious party of the political right would have placed Achinson in at least 2nd place. Unlike the supposed ‘gatekeeper killer’ Poilievre, Achinson wants supply management out. He was the real deal, Poilievre is a salesman.
