  1. Another Terence Hill spaghetti western. In Man of the East:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhP4mPJ1wvw

he plays an English aristocrat who goes to the American West to find a trio of likeable scoundrels who were friends of his late father. Two of them are played by Harry Carey, Jr. (who was in a number of John Wayne movies directed by John Ford) and Gregory Walcott (perhaps best known for his role in the Ed Wood howler, Plan Nine from Outer Space).

The plot of a fish-out-of-water dude trying to fit into a strange place is nothing new, but it’s done quite well in this film, partly, I think because of the performances of Hill, Carey, and Walcott. It has a few western movie cliches, such as some saloon-demolishing fistfights and a warning or two of “be on the next stage or else”, but that’s to be expected in this kind of film.

In the end, the good guy wins, the bad guy gets his comeuppance, and the scoundrels think about reforming themselves. Add a catchy theme song and you’ve got about 2 hours of fun entertainment.

    1. Ok a question for the resident film guru. B, I am looking for a 1980s cheesy action film. A futuristic truck with some kind of Hollywood made gun on the roof is disabled and cargo (nuclear?) highjacked. The crew recover the truck and a road chase shooting film starts. Does that sound familiar do you remember the title? I don’t think it had any of the major 80s action stars in the cast. Possibly straight to video.

          1. Thanks. It didn’t take me long to track it down.

As for where it is, I haven’t found it on either YouTube or Odysee, so it might be in, as the late Clyde Gilmour used to say on his CBC radio show, cut-out limbo.

          2. I’ll keep an eye out for it as now that you mentioned it, it’s on my “gotta see it” list.

          3. You’re such a pathetic sniveling bootlick.

Anything can be bought in that “pure as the driven snow democracy” of a country you’ve adopted since the WEF Globohomo corporate media instructed you to love it. It can even buy a US President. Why don’t you try there first?

      1. Speaking of futuristic trucks, you may remember this oldie mouldy TV series:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sNguEPTF9I

I remember seeing bits of it while I flipped through the channels. Sam Jones, by the way, is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Flash Gordon in that cheesy movie of some 40 years ago.

        1. Definitely adding it to my list, it just screams bad 80s cheese after first thirty seconds.

      1. Ah, yes, Errol Flynn….. definitely one of a kind. He made a great impression in Captain Blood, which, to this day, is a terrific movie. For the next dozen or so years, he was in all sorts of adventure films in a variety of genres.

He made a number of westerns, most of which are still worth watching (e. g., Dodge City, Virginia City, and They Died With Their Boots On). He was in swashbuckling sea stories (Captain Blood and The Sea Hawk). He even made some war movies, such as Objective, Burma!. He also made some romantic comedies, but I don’t think he was suited for them.

But, he also lead a wild and tempestuous life off-screen and it eventually took its toll on him. (Compare his performance in Adventures of Don Juan, made about 10 years after The Adventures of Robin Hood.) By the time he made The Master of Ballantrae in the early 1950s, which is a pretty good movie, he looked exhausted and burned out. Many of the films he made after that were of lesser quality (e. g., The Roots of Heaven, Istanbul, The Big Boodle, and the forgettable Cuban Rebel Girls).

Flynn’s movies often appear on TCM, so watch that channel’s schedule.

        1. Regarding the swordfight in The Adventures of Robin Hood, one reason it was so effective and realistic was because of Basil Rathbone. He and Flynn were in the earlier Captain Blood and there’s a clashing of blades between their respective characters in that one. Rathbone was a fencer and he taught Flynn a few key moves in order to make that scene.

          1. That scene is the source for one of the earliest examples of motion capture. The guy who made the original Prince of Persia for the Apple II projected that scene and traced it out frame by frame. The swordfights in the game are all that scene.

    1. Thanks for posting this, Freeman. Dr. Ryan Cole explains it all so well. For a few months now, I have suspected the jabs either cause neurological damage or accelerate neurological decline. Our poor seniors with Alzheimer’s, in LTC, don’t stand a chance. Between the jabs and the social isolation, it’s game over.

        1. More than half the world’s population lives in Asia and India. That clip should play real well there.

  2. It’s TIME for a GLOBAL event that CAN’T be ignored!

Global Walkout Against Globalist Organizations Planned

Censorship (Experts, Social Media), Protests / By Gord Parks / July 17, 2022

The organization, Reignite Democracy Australia, is planning a 1-day global walkout against “globalist organizations” that have captured govts and destroyed constitutional freedoms and human rights. The date will be announced once enough participants have registered.

“Pledge your participation here – http://www.reignitefreedom.com

A unified, global one-day event and convoy to your capital city. Let’s send them a message they can’t ignore. This is the official launch of a new global network to push back against globalist organizations like The World Health Organization (WHO) and The World Economic Forum (WEF). These globalist organizations are to blame for the increase in our living expenses and the new climate policies pushing farmers out of business. The walkout date will be announced once we have enough pledges worldwide. So pledge now, so we can walkout soon!”

  3. The ideas that Schwabbies are coming up with are becoming even more absurd:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtv76xAYg28

Hey, Schwabbo, if they’re so great, why don’t you demonstrate to the rest of us–you know, the deplorables, the proles, the Great Unwashed–how magnificent they are by trying them out on yourself first? Lead by example!

  4. That short documentary on Smokey was fun. Going to have to rent and watch again 45 years later

    1. It’s been on Turner Classic Movies a few times, so it might show up on that channel again.

Although Reynolds was born in Michigan, he has a southern perspective, having lived in Florida for a while.

  5. Europe is BURNING people!!! The climate hyper-apocalypse will get us NOW unless we do SOMETHING!!!!

“Steven Spielberg has previously said he is ‘terrified’ of global warming, calling for ‘everyone’ to be mindful that it could ‘pose a danger to your children and grandchildren. But (he) didn’t let that stop him from taking his $70million Gulfstream G650 jet, on a 17-minute flight on June 29. His 28-mile trip from Amsterdam Airport to Rotterdam Airport would have taken him just 36 minutes by car, or an hour by public transport.”

“Rapper Drake flew on his private plane for just 18 minutes from John Munro Hamilton International airport to Toronto Pearson International airport in Canada. (Drake) could have driven between the two in 45 minutes, or 47 miles, but instead used 519 gallons of fuel on July 12. According to CelebrityJets his Boeing 767, it would have cost him $3,590 for the short haul trip – adding up to 5 tons of Co2. His plane, dubbed ‘Air Drake’ has gold detailing on the walls, a theatre room, three private suites, velvet couches and can hold a maximum of 30 passengers.”

“(Mark) Wahlberg, who starred in M Night Shyamalan’s climate-change thriller The Happening, jetted from LAX airport in LA, to Van Nuys Airport at around 10pm on July 1. He flew just nine minutes in his Bombardier BD-700 plane on the 19-mile trip, which would have taken around 40 minutes in a car with no traffic… His flight used up 83 gallons of jet fuel, which cost $579 and created one ton of Co2 emissions.”

“Kim Kardashian… flew from Van Nuys airport in Los Angeles to Camarillo Airport in ten minutes on July 7… on her $150million Gulfstream G650, fully personalised with cream carpets, on the 35-mile trip. Previously the star has said that she wants to be more eco-friendly and has been making her various businesses environmentally friendly.”

“Kylie Jenner took her $70million ‘Kylie Air’ private plane twice across Los Angeles on July 13, and again just two days later on July 15. The Bombardier Global 7500 jet travelled for 35 minutes from Palm Springs to Van Nuys, near her $36million Hidden Hills mansion on July 15. Two hours later she flew from Van Nuys, to Camarillo in in Ventura County, California – a trip which took just 12 minutes. Earlier, on July 13, Kylie had also flown from Camarillo to Van Nuys a trip of just 17 minutes. She had then taken a 29-minute flight, going from from Van Nuys to Palm Springs.”

“(Katy Perry) reportedly flew false nails for Kim Kardashian by private jet 2,451 miles from LA to New York after the reality star forgot to pack them.”

“In June 2019, (Prince Harry & Queen Meghan) told their nearly 10 million Instagram followers: ‘With nearly 7.7 billion people inhabiting this Earth, every choice, every footprint, every action makes a difference.’ A month later, Prince Harry, 37, travelled to the island of Sicily via private jet to make a barefoot speech at a Google summit on climate change. In May last year, he said: ‘We need to do better about stopping or allowing the things that are causing so much harm.’

  6. Justin Trudeau, making Neville Chamberlain look like the World Boxing Champion…

“We will stand with you, unless it’s politically difficult.
We will help you, but not if it means genuine sacrifice.
We will support you, until the costs get too high. Then, all bets are off.
The bigger point is this: Canada doesn’t do moral clarity anymore. Whether it is our business dealings with China, our arms sales to Saudi Arabia, or sending a diplomat to a garden party at the Russian embassy in Ottawa, we are always and everywhere hedging our bets, fudging our principles, letting down our allies.
For all the talk coming out of Liberal Ottawa since the invasion, it was never going to be any different with Ukraine. We were always going to let them down, eventually. But if it’s any consolation, the Ukrainians shouldn’t take it personally. Just ask the Afghans.”

    1. While Potato’s noodle spine was predictable but fortunately Canadian help did not amount to much to begin with. In the end the key players are US and Poland. There is a lot of other players that are helping in a meaningful way and often very substantial given their abilities but the key is US ability to supply and the Polish land bridge. Those are the two life lines that allow Ukraine to survive.

      1. I particularly like, not , Klaus solution for climate change.
Block out the Sun with giant Space Balls , brilliant.
Where’s Snowpiercer when you need her.

BTW, our Overlords are f**king deviously INSANE.

    1. Wasn’t it Chrystia who penned the saying, “the journey of a thousand miles starts with just one goosestep”?

  7. Please love me. I know I’ve made the wrong choice in doing exactly as the WEF Globohomo corporate media has instructed in “standing with Ukraine.” I’ll even get on my knees and flatter you and lick your boots like a pathetic spineless sycophant. Just don’t shun and mock me. I’m really a good little conservative. I promise.

  8. Trudeau has the same Communist Globalist Ideas. Eastern Canada loves the PEDO Trudeau.
Alberta hopefully gets Smith for Premier and she fights back. Trudeau is a dangerous man and all WEF and UN Globalists at all levels of Government in Alberta and Canada need to be purged. Fired and even prosecuted if possible.
Their stated goal is Mass Starvation of millions if not BILLIONS>

    1. Alberta loves the NDP…

Is that how it works Watcher?

Everything else you said is bang on…

    2. Smith is a progressive making conservative noises. She alone was responsible for notleys victory

      1. Respectfully Ward, if you wish to single out just one person to blame for Notley’s win, then I’d suggest Jim Prentice is the name you’re searching for.

Much has changed since Prentice vs Notley. If you’d like someone better than Smith to lead Alberta, in the current clown world sh*t show, then please make your case for your preferred candidate.

        1. Trust betrayed is hard to win back, particularly with an electorate that has a long memory. Smith sold her potential premiership for the proverbial mess of pottage and, thereby, helped turn Alberta into the political and economic wasteland it is now.

          1. Fair comment BA, she did betray trust. But also, I think Smith is properly owning this.

We’re in a much darker, more dangerous place than we were then. Consider everything dumped on us since the blackface election.

There are very few potential leaders that seem to grasp the situation, let alone possess the balls & brains to contend.

I struggle to make the comparison for all kinds of reasons (but I have nothing better right now) so I offer Churchill as an example of a floor crossing political who, in a crisis gave great service, despite his many deep flaws and mistakes.

  9. Canada should get out of NATO. Who cares about another war in the EU.
The EU has 600M citizens and the 3rd largest economy on earth.
Canada has a military smaller than the NYPD and only 36 m citizens, the size of California’s population approx.
Canada also has 9 Trillion in Debt. We have a National Debt the size of all the EU nations.
Wake up Canadian Morons and back away from the Crack Pipe.
Let the EU and the Ukraine Nazi’s fix and pay for their own mess.

    1. Geez Watcher, you realize that a few years ago,the solution to such impossible indebtedness was to declare war upon the USA and let them rebuild you,,’Worked great for Germany and Japan.
      Now?
Well we know of 9 trillion dollars of debt incurred in our name by our helpers..
So the real number will be closer to 27 trillion, for our parasitic overload can be relied upon to have lied..
      The truth ain’t in them.
I wonder what body parts are worth at the organ banks?
Enough to make recycling our “helpers” worthwhile? .

  10. The Cons in Britain…

Britain’s Conservative Party has now chosen its final two candidates to replace Boris Johnson as prime minister. Rishi Sunak, the former finance minister, and Liz Truss, the current foreign minister, will now spend the summer campaigning among grassroots Conservative Party members.

    Demoncracy…

Pick one to be the Con leader…

    1. North Korea should start a dog rescue association for shit hole world dogs. A delicious idea. The lady said how stringent Egypt is in testing dogs. I remember a few years ago an Egyptian dog showed up with rabies. Egypt is corrupt. I suspect some Egyptian vets will fill out 100 health certificates in 15 minutes sight unseen. After all, what are the consequences? The dogs are going to Canada.

    1. When people are actually scared of cigarette vending machines and think seat-belt laws are justified, there is very little hope left.
Manning-up requires testicles, something in very short supply.
People have consistently begged the gov’t to protect them from the perceived dangers of the world, from drugs to guns to unpasteurized milk.
      Nuthin but a bunch of limp-wristed panty-waisted lily-livered yellow-bellied pussywillow buttercups.

  11. Jane Goodall says the world wouldn’t have any problems if we just had the population we had 500 years ago.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/ALilyBit/status/1549127159238852608

I’m hearing more and more so called progressives saying the same thing. So I have two messages to progressives:
    1. Sterilize yourselves so you don’t reproduce.
    2. Apply for voluntary euthanasia. You progs can go first.

    1. Ah, the same population as 500 years ago, eh? The same one that largely consisted of serfs who were lucky if they reached 40? The same one that was generally poor and uneducated? That was subject to frequent plagues and pestilences?

Sounds like a great place to live, Dr. Goodall. Did National Geographic (without whose articles you would have remained an academic nobody) pay you to say that?

  12. The Trudeau Legal System:

“Another BC man was sentenced in March to an eight-month conditional sentence followed by three years probation for possessing child pornography.
BC Provincial Court Judge Joanne Challenger said the offender, referred to as “CL,” poses no safety risk to the community, and his actions result from “intergenerational trauma,” and therefore jail was not necessary.
Roughly half of the discovered content in CL’s possession showed children either nude or “posed in a sexualized manner,” and the other half displayed children being subjected to heinous sexual abuse by adults.
Some of the content admittedly possessed and shared by CL includes children subject to “oral, anal, or vaginal sexual penetration by an adult,” according to the ruling.
CL admitted to collecting such content for six years dating from when he got his first iPad at the age of 21. He then began sharing the content with others.
His identity is protected, and CL remains a free man.

“He’s not jailed because the cell is reserved for Tamara Lich,” said one scornful Lich supporter, highlighting that the same day Lich was denied bail (July 8), a man found guilty of raping a woman in his Calgary apartment was granted bail pending his appeal.
The comment was a reference to 29-year-old Chad Bobrosky, who was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison in June for sexually assaulting a woman in 2018.
Judge Good Wong said the assault involved sadism, bondage, and attacks with the intent to injure. Wong further reiterated the harm inflicted was not consensual.
Bobrosky appealed the conviction and was subsequently granted bail.”

    1. Ah, but none of those “offenders” were on the brink of overthrowing the government, were they?
