  7. I’m pretty sure the Trudeau Liberals would love to mandate that all unvaccinated citizens must wear electronic ankle bracelets regardless if they’re covid positive or covid negative. At least 30% of Canadians, 95% of Canadian journalists, and 99% of academics would cheer the government on while chanting in unison “choices have consequences”.

    After the last couple of years it is pretty clear why the internment of Japanese Canadians was popular during WW2.

    1. A former friend of mine, a staunch “conservative” and former provincial candidate for the PCs, has defended Japanese internment on the grounds that there were some spies.

      1. It does not suprise me that someone who is comfortable violating human rights and confiscating private property would try to be a politician. Certain careers attract certain personality types.

        There isn’t much of a philosophical difference between a Liberal and a Progressive Conservative (see O’Toole and Charest for recent examples).

  9. I disagree. Chinese “citizens” are conditioned for this. There is still a sense of individuality (even in Canada) that would result in non-compliance on a massive level. But, more than that, it would convert the fence sitters to the “wrong” side of the fence….and the Left can’t afford that erosion any further.

    China doesn’t have a solid grasp of the Holocaust…but the West does…and such an act would invoke comparisons. The Left doesn’t mind enacting fascist acts…as long as you don’t point them out or correct their definitions of what a fascist happens to be.
