Almost all large Transformers are custom made. Almost NONE of the large 500/KV types (output side of a power plant) are hardened. There are 15,000 gallons of Mineral oil in some. Some of the large transformers called Super Transformers(no, not Bruce Jenner) are out in the country behind a fence near wind farms. Catostrophic damage from oil leaks (bullet holes) would mean ordering a replacement….from ABB in Germany….which would take 2 years in a normal non Marxist World.

Dry run for the big one. One day we’ll wake up to utter chaos as electrical systems, refineries, bridges and communications networks are in flames or smoking ruins. It’s obvious there’s a lot of weak points in our vital systems and nobody in authority is doing anything to harden them or eliminate the crazies who threatened them. Eventually they will come under attack and it will be too late to ensure your personal survival.
Always keep your gas tank full, have a generator and some full Jerry cans handy. A wood burning stove can be a lifesaver.

Now these are large, extremely heavy and often custom built pieces of equipment.
So an enemy might be real interested in both the response and the response time..
