This didn’t start with Kinsey. The poisonous seeds he sowed fell on already fertile ground.
The master class of the western world has been infested with pederasts for thousands of years. That was a major reason for official anti-Semitism even in New Testament times. Pederasty was the Roman elite’s favoured pastime. Judaism considered sodomy a capital crime.
