Justin Trudeau: Canadian Handgun Salesman Of The Year

CBC;

“You get a lot of people that as soon as they announce new gun control measures, everyone wants to go in and buy a gun,” said Dan Shemley, warehouse manager of Great North Precision Canada, which sells firearms in Kelowna, B.C. […]

He says the store had sold out of all the handguns it had by noon on Tuesday.

Daybreak South producers called three other stores that sell handguns in the Kelowna area this week and all of them said they were extremely busy.

On Tuesday, a line of customers had formed on the street outside Reliable Gun, a firearms store in Vancouver, B.C. Reliable Gun’s website now has a note posted saying the store is closed until further notice as staff “works relentlessly to get all the current orders processed.”

CBC News reached out to Reliable Gun but did not receive a response.

  1. I’ve heard we sold 5 years worth of handguns since the announcement. That should tide people over until poliviere repeals all of Trudeau’s crap in a few years.

    1. I hope you’re right James.

Also, pay no attention to Jacobins right below your post. According to them anyone not 100% pure (their version of pure) deserves the guillotine.

RCMP website used by retail outlets to verify RPAL for handgun purchases
has apparently collapsed under demand. Good thing Justin has already
      solved firearms crime in Canada.

  2. The Lies of the Government.
Had to explain to my mother tonight that “assault weapon” is simply a marketing term used by politicians, and has nothing to do with reality.

    1. “Had to explain to my mother tonight that “assault weapon””

“Assault STYLE weapon” – fr1g man, get it right!

I’ve gone to the bother of breaking-down one of his further lies, for your convenience: “I am not targetting legal gun owners”. Well, lessee…

      1) there are two kinds of people in this matter – gun-owners and people who don’t have a gun.
      2) the “gun owners” type can be further subdivided into “legal gun owners” and “illegal gun owners”; i.e., criminals.
      3) – what’s the only group in there, that (a) gives a $hit about, and (b) is affected by, his nonsense gun law?

      4) Oh and, is he entirely ignorant of what happened in the U.K. when they banned handguns? Or does he just not care? Yeah yeah I know, two stupid questions in a row…

      1. He has two objectives.
        1. Placate Karens.
        2. Cynically stick it to those who oppose him politically.
Safety or gun violence do not enter this whore’s calculations.

  3. I wanted to give away a couple pistols to a kid because I never go shooting anymore. They never took their restricted course and it is now likely too late. The only reason I owned pistols was because I could and I wanted to keep pistol ownership up. I think I bought both of them for about 50 bucks 35 years ago.

    1. Scar, you could probably sell the pistols by consignment at one of the firearms retailers for a king’s ransom.

  4. Calgary is sold out of handguns. And yes, the RCMP’s website collapsed yesterday so I had to wait until today to pick up the item I purchased yesterday. If you have an old handgun you’d like to sell by consignment you’ll probably make a killing (price wise that is). If anyone knows of a retailer which still carries the Glock 9mm gen 5 MOS, please let me know.

    1. What happens? You know what happens. A lot of people are going to die. Many of the dead will be the spouses and children of the owners.

I had my RPAL seized by police 4 years ago after a suicide threat on my part. Ironically, my threat had nothing to do with firearms. But it was still a threat – I was rather unwell due to the end of my marriage to a cheating ex. I should have been relieved, but it seemed to be the end of the world at the time.

Anyway, I voluntarily went to a hospital in Mississauga. While in the psychiatric section of the emergency ward, a Peel Regional cop came into my little cubicle and stood above me, arms crossed in a domineering manner and announced that she was taking my license. I was okay with that and said that was fine. She insisted that I did not understand and said again very sternly that she was taking my license. I again said that I was okay with that and that I understood. She took a step closer to me, uncrossing her arms and putting her hands on her equipment belt, and said that I didn’t understand and that she would explain things to me again, her voice now clearly angry and menacing.

I have no doubt that she was trying to provoke me. She really wanted to go and wanted an excuse. Her partner was standing at the door to the cubicle, also with his hands on his equipment belt. I am convinced that they both wanted to plug me right then and there.

I no longer have a license, but having had one I am sure that I am still on their list of intended visitations. We all know what will happen when the government makes ownership illegal. To me the only question is how quickly it will happen.

  5. and the owner of every gun is recorded and all information is processed by, wait for it…..the government. Good luck keeping those guns.

    1. Sounds like an epidemic of boating accidents coming up

But then, as an optimist on another thread said, maybe time I put on my scuba gear then

      1. “An epidemic of boating accidents” is a non-player for handguns. You MUST HAVE an ATT to take them out of your house; and then, only to an approved range by the shortest convenient distance. Not very often the “shortest distance” to your club’s approved range is over water – and their loss must be reported to the CFO within 30 days, and you know for a fact they’d call out the dive team.

Furthermore, on a historical note: “The next step is confiscation.” Wendy Cukier announced this exact thing, the night Pol Pot-ato passed his assault-style weapons ban: “handguns next!” And if you don’t know who Wendy Cukier is, and her overarching role in Liberal anti-gun policies over the last 33 years (ever since the Polytechnique massacre, in fact) – the role Gerald Butts plays in Liberal global warming alarmism? That’s the role Wendy Cukier plays in Liberal “We-MUST-rid-ourselves-of-those-naughty-GUNS!!!”ism. You hardly ever hear of her – but then, you hardly ever hear of the other hidden powers behind the Liberal throne either.

Well, VOWG… not every owner of every handgun…

      1. Yes and he is a vibrant and will be exposed to no one and recieve a traffic sentence.

  6. Not to be a wet blanket but when you buy a firearm you’re in the RCMP database so confiscating your gun will be easier than shooting fish in a barrel.
And you can cite the ol’ “I lost my gun while ice fishing” excuse but you just have to know they’ll get you for not reporting it or some other trumped up charge. The penalty and the process will be excessively punitive for you and your family.

My father once told me a story how the SS went to a small village with a list containing the names of gun owners happily provided to them by the mayor…those who didn’t provide the firearm when asked were simply taken outside and shot or hung. They preferred hanging only because letting the body dangle for a day or two in front of God and country ensured compliance from the rest.
I’m not suggesting they’ll get that extreme but you get my point.

  7. and yes, make sure you donate to the NFA and not the ignorant Liberal apologists and their leftist mouth piece Tracey Wilson over at the CCFR.

    1. And that same bitch will insist on telling you ,how virtuous and righteous she is.
      Over and over again.
As they huddle in their circle jerks.
I have amused myself in the past, asking simple questions..
      They have no logic,just FEELZ.
And companies that enable them all seem to vanish..
These are the people who will inspire the terror, yet will never see their own error.
For “What if I am wrong” never enters their mind..Until the lawsuits against them.
And even then,it was never their fault..
      They were just obeying orders..
Orders only heard in their empty heads.
Small people get enormous enjoyment from very tiny amounts of power.
      Can Ahh Duh!.

      1. Petty power corrupts petty people. (“Mao’s Great Famine” – Frank Dikötter.)

  8. I can put a spoiler, racing stripes and fat tires on a Honda Civic, but it doesn’t make it a race car, only a race style car, Same with a firearm, you can dress an AR up with goodies, but it only makes it an assault style firearm, but the idiots in government wouldn’t know the difference. They are stupid enough to think removing my AR’s from me, makes the citizenry safer. I bought my first one in 1995, and I’m still waiting for the overwhelming desire to run around town shooting it. Hasn’t happened yet, should I tell the gunsmith my AR is broken? I bet there are gonna be a bunch more midnite gun funerals happening now!

    1. Got to agree Gerry.
      My guns are so lazy.
When I ask a gun banner,”Where can I buy one” they fall apart usually retreating into personal abuse.
Government wants to ban “Assault Style Firearms”.
Which either they cannot specify what these be,or they rant about weapons we cannot legally purchase which are not owned by Canadians.
I have a much better plan.
      Banish Assault Style Liberals.
      They need their own island.
Where they can do unto each other to their nasty little hearts content,as they wait for Global Warming.
If we are subject to Super secret Laws from these clowns, then we have no rational reason to tolerate their presence amongst us.

I shall play by their “New Rules”.
      Whats theirs is mine.
They are collectively guilty for all that ails Canada and shall be held responsible..
      Heh Hanging first,trial later.
Guilty by association,no Magna Carta Rights for Liberals.

Such a “civil”society we shall become.

      1. Hey JR, I too, get a kick out of asking them what an “assault style firearm” is, or where I can buy one.
These gun banners go into all kinds of mental gymnastics trying to explain or answer those questions. Eventually they get upset and refuse to engage further when I use logic on them. These idiots have no clue, but think they are experts on such things, until logic and reality gets in the way. Of course we gun owners are evil for even possessing such things.

At least when this slowly evolving cluster f**k reaches it’s climax, I’ll still have the ability to hunt and feed myself, plus the ability to defend against marauders and bandits trying to take what I have carefully built and prepared for, simply to be ready, to stave off those same marauders and bandits. They wont have that ability. So people such as you and I will have the last laugh, sadly though, due to greed, stupidity, and perhaps some naivete, there will then not be much left for any of us to laugh about!

  9. “CBC News reached out to Reliable Gun but did not receive a response.” Hilarious! CBC, and the rest of the Trudeau Liberal paid media can go and, well, you know what. FJT
