  1. Reverse Repos just hit a record $2 Trillion, inflation isn’t going away for a long while.

  2. Is there a monthly report that tracks the cost of essentials? Food, transportation fuel, electricity plus other utilities, shelter and clothing. Because the cost of essential products is the real gauge of the impact of inflation for about 80% of the population.

    1. I’m not aware of a single report, but you might find something like that at Statista or (perhaps) Shadowstats. It’s possible as well that StatsCan has various time series that contain bits ‘n pieces of what you need.

I’m flashing back to having to create custom reports for all this stuff early in my career *eye twitches uncontrollably*

    2. you can get the stats can raw data, and then put together your own “basket” but it’s painful

    3. I find it odd that the most important items for daily life aren’t the most prominently reported in regards to inflation. I guess my point is that the public is being played, again. The politicians want you to focus on metrics that don’t really matter while obscuring the data that does matter.

      1. Don’t forget the Media and their fondness for “average”.

Elon and I average an extraordinary income.
        Together.
        Apart.
        Not so much.

        Being played.
Does it get any more Canadian than that?

    4. I keep my own records and inflation is a hell of a lot higher than the government numbers, twice as high in some products and three times as high in others.

    1. Hell, just the Liberals in the legal system would fill several Cambodian killing fields.

Need Communists for such a big job.

Pretty sure they are on the same team.

  3. Not to be argumentative but who exactly in Saskatchewan is forcing them to “empty their barns”?? There are “co-mingling” orders with respect to agricultural fairs and other events but I haven’t seen anything else beyond that.

    1. I don’t know the details, only that my neighbor relayed that info to me. They could sell him no more than three or four. Regular supplier.

    2. Hutterites near me east of Calgary says the inspectors keep telling them they should cull now to get ahead of it. Not making them do it. Just putting it out there. Also several times one inspector threatened to shut down their meat plant or not inspect unless they were vaccinated. Thank Gos that’s blown over and will never happen again. Hutts have gotten themselves way too intimate with big food. Big brother doesn’t even know I have animals. I cut in the driveway but it’s not for sale. I wouldn’t give food to anyone that lives where people vote liberal.

  4. L – A great opportunity for a province wide chicken roast.
Government: “Well, what happened to all your chickens, Mr Hutterite?
Mr. Hutterite: “They flew the coop! ”

P.S. ( Which country’s biolabs are researching avian flu ? China? Ukraine? Winnipeg?
(An investigation is required. I want a detective duo: Sherlock Holmes and Col. Sanders.)
