Don’t You Worry, Child

Central planning will save the day.

Under Operation Fly Formula, USDA and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are authorized to use DOD-contracted commercial aircraft to pick up overseas infant formula that meets U.S. health and safety standards, so it can get to store shelves faster. In addition, President Biden has directed his Administration to take a number of other important actions to ensure there is enough safe infant formula for families, including invoking the Defense Production Act…

Probably the most humiliating tweet of all time…

  1. Well, he’ll, what’s in that photo isn’t enough to stock one Costco

    1. Most people don t know that Canada has a baby food factory in Kingston Ontario which is operated for production of product that is exclusively exported to China. This factory is owned by the Chinese government and part of the agreement which I believe was signed by the Trudeau government is that zero US milk products will be processed at this facility. Why are we signing on to agreements that benefit China and the supply managed Canadian dairy industry and no one else.

  2. Don’t pick it up in Ottawa. They had a storm today.

We’re not going to stop hearing about it until the next time an arsonist blames a trucker.

  3. Correct me if I am wrong, but it is humiliating because roles are reversed

Back in the 1940s after world war two, after Germany had suffered a big defeat and was in very bad shape, the Soviets kept part of Germany from receiving food, so the USA and England flew in thousands of airplanes to feed Germans ( The Marshall plan if I am not mistaken )

And now the USA – the richest most powerful nation in the history of the world – is so poorly managed by the democrat/Biden administration that it has to beg for food…from Germany…

if my interpretation is wrong, feel free to correct me

  4. Biden probably doesn’t remember that little babies need to be fed every 4 hours or so. Too little, too late, Joe.

  5. … that meets US Health and Safety standards…”

Good luck with that! Our administrative state has set standards for infant formula that are trivially different from what is perfectly acceptable in other parts of the world (for example, how much iron, or whether goats milk is allowed in the formula). This was not done to protect our infants, but to protect the American manufacturers from overseas competition.

  6. I wonder how much is bunged up in shipping containers waiting on ships outside the ports (which putin obviously caused)

I also wonder if this will go to stores or to stock immigration centers?

    1. Perhaps they should ask some volunteer lactating persons to donate some ‘formula’.

    2. You mean the pinkhaired fatties.. Don’t men brestfeed now?

      1. I would have donated milk, but I needed nine good reasons to do it, and I lacked eight!

  7. It’s not just starving children; it’s making the US look like a joke.

  8. Operation Boob in the White House maybe.

Take one woman who recently gave birth, add a breast pump and a fridge. Mix.

If you look at the rates of breast feeding there is little correlation with the number of women in the workplace. It is a “biocultural” issue where women choose not to breast feed.

  9. At first I thought it was a reference to Duran Duran’s ” What Happens Tomorrow”
