Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Our drill won’t move as it’s still frozen in a snow bank, never mind seeding. In my area of the NW this would be impossible till at least the last week of this month. Maybe it’s an April fools joke !
Don’t tell the Chicago board of trade. Hate to upend the never ending blather of non stop end of the world famine approaching
Good one Kate!!
Had me going for a couple of minutes!
Seems as though this planting will be the cash crop of all cash crops! And it won’t go into Bill Gates pocket
Years ago, when I was in university, I worked a summer for a local farmer. He’d planted a small field of rye the year before & harvested it a bit late, so in the spring he had a fairly healthy crop of volunteer rye coming up.
More as a joke than anything, he decided not to cultivate it & just let it grow, see how it did. No seeding, no cultivating, no fertilizer, no weed control. A true cash crop. End of summer, we ended up with a tandem grain truck full of rye, around 370 bushels. Took it right from the field to the elevator. He laughed that it was the only field he made a profit from that year.
Gotta get the jump on globull warming cuz Greta warned we’d be burning up by mid July. Silly twat, Justin saved humanity this morning with the carbon tax hike!
Is this what they call winter wheat?
– That or snow peas… (badoom, TISH!) 😉
That gets a gold star.
The only thing planted on my fields right now are Canada Geese.
We need the moisture.
