What a coup for Biden if he could take Greenland from Denmark where Trump failed. That’s the play. We say, yes, Canada will increase oil production if US supports our claims on Hans Island and we will throw in bases for Biden to invade Greenland. How could he say no?

You know what? Harper’s priority was building a pipeline west to ship Canadian oil to China, and get a slightly higher price for the bullets he sold to the PLA to shoot us with. The only real winners would have been China and Bay Street.
I’ll go further: Chrystia Freeland, Peace River’s despair, thinks they can get away with this because North America doesn’t actually import that much Russian oil. Pipelines would have made NATO’s escalation of the Ukraine conflict MORE likely, not less.
