  1. From living in an oil and natural gas exporting province this is something I’ve learned :

    – exporting provinces greatest risk is attacks by the federal government but we will always have energy supply security within our province.

    – importing provinces and countries are always at the mercy of foreign governments *and* their own federal government. Their supply can be shut off at any time (see Line 3 and Line 5, Energy East, plus Europe’s Russian energy problem)

Calgary. Cant say on RUG, but Diesel is 1.459/Litre.
6 cents less at the one Costco that sells it

LC: We may have it produced in our Province(s) using local man/woman power…but where’s the benefit to our own folks.??

        1. Employee wages, corporate and property taxes into the province and communities, spending by oil/gas companies in local communities and (of course) energy security.

Personally I’d like to see more secondary petrochemical industries in Alberta and Saskatchewan. If we can’t ship oil in pipelines then maybe ship oil derived products by land and sea.

      2. I was commenting on supply not pump prices. Having a reliable supply at any price is better than having empty pumps and no oil at all for refineries. But, on prices, about half (?) the price at the pump is government fees and taxes so there’s lots of room to provide gas price relief.

        1. I get all of that LC.
I worked in the patch for near 40 yrs..
My comment was simply aimed at pump pricing…where we, like the rest of Canadians are continually boned.

Just another aspect of our “wonderful leadership”…in this country

          1. I agree.

But there a point where high energy prices cause social unrest…and I doubt Trudeau will get any party to vote with him on a second invoking of the emergencies act for those protests. I think the government is cornering itself and is rapidly losing support. If food prices continue to rise then I think the Trudeau government will have their asses kicked out of government.

  2. Man caused catastrophic global warming is the foundational lie of the empire of lies.
“They’re too stupid to tell us what to do.”

  3. Massive failure of——- Three branches of the United Nations – forgot “Woke-ola” and the pedo agenda.

  4. The WEF has too much invested in using climate to further globalist objectives to let this energy crisis derail the green religion. Already climate alarmists are claiming that we should have transitioned to renewables faster to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. Yes, this is insane but the thought that windmills and solar panels can supply our energy needs has always been insane yet billions of dollars have already been invested.

  5. I have been working from home for 4 years now and I love it. I don’t have a boss standing over my shoulder and I make my own hours. The tips below are very informative and anyone currently working from home or planning to in the future could use these…

  6. Don’t care about the fake covid, don’t care about “the” Ukraine, don’t care about liberals or any socialists, communists , fools, morons , don’t care about climate change, don’t care period. Canadians that want to kill themselves. Go for for it folks. The planet will still be here long after every idiot and moron ceases to exist.

  7. It is important to recognize that the “Summary for Policymakers,” is written by politicians, not scientists. Often the politicians will go back to the scientists and insist they alter the scientific content in the body of the report, so that it better supports the “Summary for Policymakers.”

To date there are no climate emergencies anywhere on the planet, and human deaths from extreme weather events are at an all-time low.

  8. The linked article says Putin s war is forcing leftist leaders to admit we need oil, I am not that optimistic, I think leftist leaders will use this conflict ( never let a crisis go to waste right?) to shove electric cars, wind mills and solar deeper down our throats.

Covid showed leftist leaders that they could be tyrannical, behave like dictators, and there was pretty much nothing anyone could do to stop them.

They tasted blood, it only wetted their appetite for more..

    1. That’s exactly what the Biden administration is attempting, revealing how incredibly stupid they are. As if we needed confirmation.

    2. CF, Agree about the tasting of blood part, but each time they do this stuff, it creates more animosity with the peasants, and there are a bunch more red pilled after the big E act then the backtrack. The turd has painted up a real nice corner for his self eh!

      1. I’m not convinced. Its been awfully quiet since Blackfacehitler’s Jackboots beat up the peaceful in Ottawa, and the refusal to issue bail is pretty damn tyrannical.
