  1. Who let Joni out of the asylum?

Her annual income from Spotify? … five. I think that’s in Loonies.

    1. Just Like this Train by Joni Mitchell

      I can’t find my goodness
      I lost my heart
      Oh, sour grapes
      Because I lost my heart.

      1. About the middle of that GREAT performance of Coyote … she sings Prisoner of the the white lines on the FREEEEEEE … FREEEE …freeWAY

As Rt41 notes below … what happened to the old 60’s hippies sense-of and belief in FREEDOM? They’ve become hypnotized to another kind of white line on a freeway … that leads straight to concentration camps and mounds of skulls. So very sad. Very, very sad.

      2. Oops! Kate cancelled my comment which included this brilliant clip of Joni singing Coyote at The Band’s Last Waltz … (too many links … my bad)

Prisoner of the white lines on the freeway

Joni is still prisoner of those white lines … meaning something entirely different

    1. Neil the hypocrite.
He owns mansions in Hawaii and Malibu, plus a big ranch where he houses his big collection of gas guzzling cars, and his guitar collection.
He has hundreds of millions of dollars from his pure capitalist career.
      Piss off, Neil.

      1. But wait, as a capitalist, isn’t Neil allowed to do with his assets – his music – as he sees fit? Please enlighten me here. I don’t see what he has done wrong. He knew if he went up against the number one podcast in the world, Spotify would choose Rogan. Yet he did it anyway because he believed that was the best thing to do. This is the free society that SDA would seem to support, no?

  2. When did the anti-establishment stick it to the man hippy singers turn into pro-establishment get on your knees for the man?

I know: when they feared death more than they fear God.

      1. No one has their boot on the neck of a multimillionaire washed up hippy singer. They can pretty much do whatever the Hell they want. They just need the attention. Again…they fear death.

  3. Two washed up Canadian has beens remove themselves from Spotify.
Just because someone doesn’t agree with them.
If they hadn’t said anything themselves, no one would have noticed, or cared.

  4. Canadian entertainment at one time was quality entertainment. Not anymore with everything going woke/I love Justeen. That is why they want their internet censorship to force us to watch/listen to it, whether we want to or not.
It’s bad enough that we have to pay for it, not just the CBC, through grants to “artists” and forced to pay for channels that we would never watch because they would never have enough viewers/income on their own.

      1. The Canadian masses swoon over both equally, they love the wokeness and justeeness of it all. They have the same look on their faces as the ’60’s Beatles admirers.
I have no use for either of them.

  5. I’m old enough to remember when Neil Young, then with CSNY, played benefit concerts for Free Speech. That was when the left favoured free speech, mostly because they were out of power and wanted to speak power to the Man. Now of course, the left is in charge, and they want to stamp out free speech because their own policies and ideas cannot stand up to debate. Neil Young, meanwhile, who lived a libertarian lifestyle all his life, has turned into a bitter leftard hypocrite in his old age. Sad to see.

    1. Neil is still for free speech. Neil is against misinformation. If Rogan is good at one thing, it is misinformation.

      1. “Reasonable”. Care to elaborate on your assertion. If Young is, as you write, “still for free speech” how do you defend his attempt to stifle that very commodity. It seems he is for free speech only as long as it aligns with his views. I look forward to your explanation.
