      I had a totally random wake up call today. I was doing some genealogical research and I googled on a rather uncommon (to me anyway) name of a long deceased relation. Coincidentally, a twitter account of the same name happened to be returned in the search results. This (totally different) person of the same name as my deceased relative was apparently not very far away.

      Just for esses and gees I clicked on it. This person’s twitter feed made me sick to my stomach. I felt like Charlton Heston did, at the end of both POTA and SG. The horror of the stupidity I was reading was that powerful.

      VOWG has been right all along. The stupidity of Canadians beggars description. The feed was full of retweets from “ER Doctors” saying THEY are the ones in crisis; Canadians should be directing their attention at THEM, not at “made up” phoney crises like no food on the shelves. Other tweets from people: “no one has a right to refuse vaccines” or anything else the government says you must do. Tweets saying “anti-vaxxers” should all be rounded up and done away with. Etc., etc. These appeared to be messages from real, live, actual “adults”.

      I think I was wrong to blame the Prime Moron for all of this insanity. Perhaps all he’s doing is running at a full sprint to get in front of the idiot parade so he can pretend to be leading it. In an idiocracy, no extra work to whip up stupid is necessary.

      So, if this unknown person’s twitter feed is in any way representative of the “thinking” of Canadians, then I need to start thinking of an escape route outta this insane asylum. This is the kind of crazy that could be really bad for our health.

          1. Wait until they get ill from it, they won’t be voting for anyone because they’ll be fighting for their lives. It’s plainly obvious that people are beginning to find out they’ve been sucked into potential kill shots. They don’t want to admit that they’re frightened out of their minds. Most of them don’t even know that it’s the people who’ve had the shots that are spreading the new variants. They blame the ones who haven’t had the shots for their problems.

            My sis and her significant other both had 2 Moderna shots each plus a regular flu shot and were okay afterwards. (Saline shots are harmless, right?) The booster shot was okay for her but he is a total mess and going to a cardiologist this week. (Lady luck ran out of saline shots, perhaps?)

            I don’t think they’ll be voting for the ballot box stuffing Liberals! The Liberals don’t need anyone, they have the Dominion voting machines to thank for their $1.99 votes.

        1. The ratio between vaccinated and unvaccinated looks the same for under 60 and over 60. Vaccines reduce severe outcomes and deaths for both age group significantly.

  7. I just want to point out the enormity of the truckers again. The cpc raises 3 million in a good quarter and these guys got 5 million raised in 5 days. Trudeau is crapping his pants right now. By Saturday they’ll have 10 million easy.

    2. Whether you like it or not the Trudeau Government will not back down. If anything they will up the stakes. They don’t have anything to lose by doing so.

      Consider what would happen if the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, decides to shut down Line 5 and/or the Trudeau Government decides to close the Canada/US border. Or, they could double down on more vaccine mandates and more restrictions.

      My point is that these assholes in Ottawa still have cards up their sleeves and they will play them. They want to position the truckers and anyone who supports or sympathizes with their cause as racist, misogynists, selfish bastards who are right-wing terrorists. They will do anything to convince the fear laden public that they are the good guys in this fight.

      As long as the media and Trudeau’s own MPs support the little dictator it will be hard to change the narrative. IMO many more Canadians will have to stand up to be counted before a real change takes place. I hope I am wrong. But, I do not think so.

    1. Canceling the Aero was the correct decision. There was no weapon system it was another 20 years before one came availed. ( Used on F-14) ICMB made the reason for developing the airplane mute . History supports that. Any thing else is liberal fancy, after all it was there billions of dollars waisted .

      1. Much of the official government information concerning the cancellation of the Arrow has never been released. There have been numerous suggestions as to why it was scuttled, ranging from Diefenbaker wanting to kill a program started by his Liberal predecessor to the entire system being riddled with communist spies.

        There are still questions about it that have yet to be answered. For example, why were all the prototypes ordered to be cut up and scrapped? Why were all the documents, including plans, ordered to be destroyed?

        Until there is definite proof about what happened, the rest is pure speculation.

    Gurney admitted that he’d heard little about it and was unaware of what it is about.

    They don’t understand the discontent in the country.

    These people live in a bubble. Talk only to others who live in the bubble and think exactly like them. They don’t understand that 75 million US voters cast a vote for Trump because they are pissed at the direction their country is going.

    I was listening to SiriusXM Channel 76/Symphony Hall yesterday afternoon. This week’s guest on the show Living American was Neil Sedaka (yup, the same guy who recorded Calendar Girl and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do).

    It turns out that he originally started out as a classical musician and, if I remember correctly, he studied at Julliard. He also composed classical music (by the way, so did Billy Joel) and some of it was featured on the show. It’s quite pleasant to listen to.

    The show will be repeated Friday night at 10 PM MST and Sunday at 4 PM MST.
