How does a walrus gain enough elevation to be on a high cliff? They have difficulty moving around once they are out of water.

Okay, Walrus stuff. I believe in the context of the cliff there is a beach with a ‘relatively’ gentle slope somewhere just down the coast a bit. The beasties come up the beach, shuffle up the slope to get a bit more social distancing and then spread out ‘sideways’ parallel to the waterline. Hence some end up with the cliff between them and the water.
That is my understanding based on what I have been told of that location. Open to correction.
