    What is this woke garbage doing to the quality of our socialized health care system?
    Are candidates for medical school selected for their, (let’s face it, stupidity) really going to become qualified doctors?

    Isn’t it time for governments to stand up and clean up this mess in the universities before they destroy everything?

    The company that I used to work for is going woke.
    I still own shares in them and am starting to think that those responsible for these woke crusades by the HR departments should be questioned about it at the AGMs.

  5. Thank you, God … for Jordan Peterson. He speaks the TRUTH … a rarity in our intellectual eggshell-treading culture. But I fear he is on a path once blazed by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I fear some dead and “DIE-ing” woke foot soldier in ANTIFA will believe it “moral” to eliminate an “old” voice of “wrong thinking”. As Jordan says, we must all BE BRAVE, and not succumb to this psychotic purge taking place in our once GREAT meritorious society. We must stop going along to get along. That is the pathway to universal death. Lord, make me as BRAVE as Jordan. Make us all as brave as Jordan. We must not allow TRUTH to be banished.

    We have allowed the old failed and deadly slogans of Mao to permeate our culture. Right is wrong. Old is bad. “New” is good. BIPOC DIE … deadly concepts. Our Doctors are doomed to become Janitors, and chronic welfare cases will become our leaders. Losing Peterson in our supposed institutions of higher learning is a prime example of this Maoist purge. We are hurtling headlong into a dystopian reign of death and destruction … because “equity”. The chronic malcontents and misfits are bent on “getting even” with a unbiased culture that rewards intelligence and effort … the two things missing from the malcontents makeup.

    How shocking that Vlad Putin is a voice of sanity in this cultural degeneration war. Now I know why the Leftist Bidinh cabal are gunning for Putin … and are putting us on the brink of war with the very man who has CANCELLED the Soviet Union. Seems our 1960’s Soviet apologist leftist leaders HATE Putin’s post-Soviet State. Hates Putin’s nationalism …. almost as much as they HATE their own.

  6. I’m not worried about Dr. Peterson. He has two best selling books, a wildly successful YouTube channel and a lucrative speaking tour. I do feel sorry for his students and fear for the future of academia.

  9. His article was the first thing I read when the paper arrived this morning. It was, IMO, excellent, but of course he is preaching to the choir here.

    regarding the trades: I am a consulting Engineer (part time now), so I get to spend much time with tradesmen and I have a huge respect for them. Interestingly, 20 years ago my eldest daughter graduated from the same airline pilot course my son took. Unfortunately she graduated right after 9/11, so nobody was hiring. She decided to change careers and took a trade (electrician). I was initially disappointed, but she is now a highly paid (and respected) electrician working on major industrial and commercial projects. She works hard and makes big bucks – well into 6 figures.

    I am now very pleased with her and she loves what she does. I would now fully recommend the trades for anyone.

    My other daughter is a Lawyer – sigh!

    1. The trades can be a great career. My brother-in-law fixes HVAC systems and anything related to that…commercial ovens, fryers, walk-in refrigerators, etc. and made a great living (high 5-figures) until a shoulder injury sidelined him a few years ago. Unfortunately, the majority of today’s workforce snub their noses at a blue collar job.

Remember reading a story about the Chernobyl incident when workers there who risked their lives snuffing out the clouds of radiation emanating from the site were horrified that the man Moscow sent in to take charge was a former shoe salesman with absolutely no scientific training, but he was a good party member you see, so there’s that.
    That’s where we’re at right now, and if not, very close.
    God help us all.

  12. A while back I took a peek at the website of my alma mater to see what the department primarily responsible for my degree was up to. It was unrecognizable from what they were doing when I was there 20 years earlier. I was truly shocked at what the focus of the department had become, what they weren’t teaching anymore, and what they were requiring students to take in order to get a degree and what they weren’t requiring anymore.

    BTW, they don’t get donation dollars from me and never will.

    1. After my PhD alma mater, Queen’s, took Sir John A.’s name off of a building, I emailed the university to cut off all communication with me. Still get the occasional promo letter, so with these I write refused mail on the address, with the added words “”send back to racist university”.

      2. For some reason, I’ve been dropped of my alma mater’s alumni mailing list. The place hasn’t pestered me for money for years….. and I have no intention of changing it.

    2. Same goes for SAIT…and that shit was already being entrenched as far back as 1984… saw / heard it first hand as a member for our Engineering class in the student council.

      Went 1 meeting..that was it.

  13. The university that I work for (thankfully behind the scenes in Info Tech) just went through the process of creating and hiring a new DIE director/VP last fall. Money well spent I am sure.

    So now they will have the infrastructure in place to call me a racist bastard and make it official.

    I have been there for almost 25 years now…one year left until I can retire and I can’t wait to GTFO.

    It has certainly changed over that time.

  14. When my oldest daughter (a nurse) graduated from Queens University a number of years ago, one of the speeches from a head nurse from some department, mentioned climate change as one of the most formidable things they will face.
    I sighed….
    A couple years later, I got a call one morning around 630. My daughter had to pull her first breathing tube, on a baby in front of it’s family .
    The kid did it, actually every time someone in the family wanted to hold the baby, and put it back in, until they where ready to say goodbye.
    I’m just glad both my kids close to thirty, went through much of their schooling with decent old school teachers.
    I really feel for some parents, and I see some bright kids that will be easily lead down the path Peterson rails against for good reason.
    I don’t think there is any civilized brakes strong enough to stop the decent into madness , and I think mandated ” therapies” if not brought to a halt are there to bring all to heel, and soften society up for the fruit of all the prog social engineering- an unthinking collective.
    I just wish I was way older than 55, to come to this conclusion, that maybe wrong but I don’t think so.
    Modern Liberals have no idea of tolerance – none what so ever, and they have the spine of a jelly fish.

      I just shake my head at that Head nurse’s claim. Thankfully, your daughter was bright enough to focus on what her REAL objective was, and is. And congrats to her for her work.

      Without nothing , people yearned for something else.
      That something else has now taken root.

  18. Well, Peterson also left cause he’s world famous and worth millions. Why would he want that hassle for pennies? He probably makes more at some of his speeches than he did in a year at UofT.
    He’s also not wrong about DIE (that’s awesome by the way). We hired a young guy who happens to be black into my group and he is a superstar but there’s a general impression he’s only there cause he’s black, which he is constantly fighting against. He’s so good I’ve fast-tracked him up the ranks but now his peers are jealous and claiming it’s cause of race. All this DIE crap is poison. Just poison.

  19. Our education system, from junior kindergarten to PHD, is irredeemably broken. The Ministry has become a humongous faceless monolith with no accountability, curriculums are set by arms-length agencies (like OISE or whatever the acronym is) that are immune to public scrutiny, the Teachers College is run by the unions, local school boards have expanded in size exponentially even though the province does most of the work for them leaving them time to play political games with your children. The rot is set too deep. The only path forward that will fix the system is to destroy it and rebuild with safeguards to protect against this crap in the future. Will this happen? I’m not holding my breath.
