If the covid infection rate is roughly equal on both sides of the border, and as far as I know it is, there is zero safety reasons to shut down the border. The time to shut down the border was when they were telling us it was racist to prevent the Chinese from infecting us. And even this is assuming that covid is more dangerous that a fricking cold.

      Pfizer CEO said that they are working on a Omicron vaccine that will be ready come March. By that time Omicron will probably have completed going through the population. It would be like phoning 911 if your house catches fire and the dispatcher reply’s that it will be a while because they are currently busy with other emergency calls. The fire truck arrives several hours later and all that’s left of your house is a pile of smoldering embers and the city still bills you $280.00 for the emergency call. But there will be plenty drones lining up to take the booster shot no doubt.

Yep, in anticipation of the Trudeau Liberal’s latest genius idea, I filled the remaining freezer space with frozen fruit&vegetables and bought large quantities of dried fruit (the rest of the freezer space is mainly venison). Between that and canning, there’s more than enough to last us until my greenhouse, vegetable garden and orchard start to produce in the spring.

    Remember the scariest words in the English language are “I am from the government and I’m here to help”. Plan accordingly.

        1. Ms. Lewis made a statement that made me do a double-take. It was something to the effect that pro-choice people need to have a voice. Since the pro-choice crowd already dominate the podium that comment came across as a bit strange. Thus, I would proceed with caution.

  15. Never mind “learn to code”. “Learn to jar produce”. Even I at an elder age never really learned, being a modern urban international person (never woke). My mom and I used to harvest our Calgary city garden when I was a pre-teenie. All those jars of yummy crabapples and tomatoes went into the “cold room” in the basement. Potatoes, carrots and celery lasted well there too, as well as yucky turnips. The shelled peas went into containers that went to a cold storage place somewhere on 14th Street.

    1. All your produce was not possible had you not exploited solar radiation. The sun is a “common good” that must be regulated by your betters within the all-providential government. They will impose a “growing tax” of at least 50% on all harvests.

  16. The stupidity is breathtaking. If the “goal” is to stop transmission of the virus, somebody needs their bloody head examined (if not put in a noose). It is clear in viewing world data that the jurisdictions with the highest “vaccination” rate have the highest rate of spread. And really, does it make ANY bloody sense at all in crossing a border whether one is carrying the virus or not? It might if there was an area with ZERO infections and one with many…..but that is NOT the case….pretty much anywhere in the world. The virus doesn’t carry a passport. I really hope that the truckers stop all shipments between Eastern Canada and the U.S. Those who voted for the mental midgets in the Liberal “government” should be the ones to pay the price for their stupidity.
