  1. Heartbreaking. Poor people, I feel for them.

I disagree with the interviewee’s one statement, that offering the employees a “choice” between a forced vaccination or losing their livelihood was “un-Canadian”.

On the contrary, with the cowed and unprincipled tyranny-worshipping sheep in this country, it’s quite “Canadian”. They’re smugly happy at this, may they all go to hell.

  2. Absolutely heartless and sickening, what they can do to employees for merely exercising their right to not get an experimental jabba. Anyone who attempts to force any employee to get the jabba should be liable in civil court for violating their right to refuse via the Nuremberg code 1947.

    1. Regrettably, it has, but it didn’t start out that way. I think the attitude changed when former board chairman Clive Beddoe left for good.

In the early days, when he was in charge, the staff actually valued the clientele and did whatever it could to make passengers happy. The last time I flew with WJ when it had that attitude was more than 15 years ago. A few years passed before I flew with it again. During that time, it had changed its livery and started treating us like crap. It’s now as bad as AC.

  3. I hold special place in my heart for major airlines … right below Bell and between turdo and no’tool.

  4. It’s quite amusing watching airlines scrambling worldwide because their pilots and crew decided to pull a sickie in time for Christmas Eve.

The excuse is Omicron. In reality, this was the year the people who keep planes flying decided to actually enjoy a restful, peaceful Christmas with people who didn’t view them as expendable.

Perhaps that will teach a few of our masters that they need the working class a lot more than the working class need them. Either way, knowing that “the holidays” were ruined for so many parasites has made my Christmas all the sweeter.

  5. F*ck Westjet – They ran a campaign that said they would match any other airline loyalty status if applied for. They advertised it on their website, also through my company’s corporate newsletter, and also directly at the West Jet Kiosk.

So last year I was frequenting Alaska via Seattle & Vancouver from Calgary because I thought WJ would be a simpler alternative to AC’s longer Denver route so applied. I soon received a big FO e-mail from them stating that the “Promotion” did not apply or no longer applied although the promotions were current and everywhere. So they can FO in return (I was a Super Elite gold status with AC).

  6. Another example of the upper echelon having no clue as to how a system or society works. I liken it to a corporation housed in a single building. If I remove the president for two weeks the entity will stumble along under its own impetus. If I remove the cleaning staff, it will grind to a standstill in three days. Like a colony of ants or bees remove the workers and everything collapses, we are well on the road to removing the workers. Thirty percent of our society has been deemed non-essential and replaceable because we will not submit to the jab. That thirty percent has a big impact on the travel industry itself. Take thirty percent out of the travel equation and West Jet and Air Canada will not function. On the other hand it will greatly reduce our carbon emissions, there is always a silver lining somewhere in the mix.

On a brighter note may I wish all SDA readers and Kate and her crew a very Merry Christmas and hopefully a very saner and healthier Happy New Year.

It’s like what I once heard about an American airline. Its management made sure that small things, such as coffee stains on seat trays, were cleaned quickly, because if people got the impression that stuff like that didn’t matter, they’d soon be wondering how well the jet engines are maintained. With such large-scale sackings over a phony plague, that would be a matter of great concern, wouldn’t it?
