Yo Mama

Unsupervised Learning

Today almost everything we had figured out then is wrong. We didn’t understand the origin of modern humans, and we’re still in the process of unpacking all the complexity as more and more findings come to light. Beginning in 2010, ancient DNA made plain that Neanderthals and their East-Asian cousins, the Denisovans (after Denisova cave in which their remains were discovered), were not evolutionary dead ends; their traces continue on in us.

  1. According to 23AndMe, my DNA contains traces of neanderthal genetic material that in terms of quantity is in the 99th percentile among all 23AndMe customers. Current research indicates that the neanderthals were hunted, raped, pillaged and driven into extinction by the racist and imperialist homo sapiens. On behalf of the neanderthals, I demand reparations.

    1. Haha, on behalf of the Republic of me, I offer you my congratulations, condolences and a one time payment of reparations available to all displaced cultures around the world,: a kick in the ass with a frozen boot!

  2. I freely admit to being a neanderthal. I read years ago that my blood type “O+” is very close to being that of a neanderthal, and is the original blood type of humans, hence it is a universal blood source. I need lots of meat and fish in my diet and lots of berries and raw vegetables to maintain good health and weight.

    1. Based on that Moma

…that “O+” blood running through me…makes me and my sister’s also of Neanderthal descent…

Been called one often..I now wear that LABLE with unabashed PRIDE.!!

I guess I now understand that my handle truly FITS..!!

  3. Notice how they keep changing their story depending on what’s politically fashionable?

The Out Of Africa story was useful in shutting down serious discussion of the Negro problem.

Now the Denisovan story is useful as a rationale for Chinese chauvinists who want to pretend the Han tribe are a distinct and superior species.

What is the truth of the matter, you ask? Read your Bible again. You won’t get any of the details from the eggheads. They know telling the truth is a good way to end your career at best, be crucified at worst.

  4. Prima: Homo erectus failed and went extinct.
Secundus: If they failed, how come I can’t walk down the street without all their damned kids getting in my way?

    Species aren’t things, they’re processes.

  5. Some people figure evolution didn’t work on me and that I’m still an australopithecine.

  6. Screw metals and Bitcoin.

The sperm and eggs of the unvaxxed may soon become the most valuable of items on this planet. We may not be sure where and how we started, but I think I can see where we are headed.

      1. Ha, by then I suspect my sperm will have deep dementia. You don’t want to create a race of Democrats, do you?

    1. By banging rocks together? Oh, I get it, you’d be a Stones tribute band…..

        1. I see we’re getting a bit boulder with our comments….. (ducking old shoes thrown in my direction)

          1. BA… are you stoned?

I thought you took it for granite that I had rocks in my head.

          2. Nah, just looking forward to the big rock concert.

Sedimentary, my dear Watson….. I’m hoping that the band has a big slate of songs. Oh, well, we shale see.

(Yeah, I know they’re lame. I’m graben anything I can.)

          3. Of karst, you do realize I’m only horsting around. I hope you didn’t mined.

          4. I was able to stop groaning long enough to type a “well done.”

            Well, I gotta go… it’s slate.

          5. I marble at your wit fellas.

I must be losing my touch. Didn’t think of that one earlier. Breccia didn’t think that would happen, eh?

          6. “Breccia didn’t think that would happen, eh?”

            Doc…
‘Tis tuff chert, this rock and roll stuff!

  7. When asked why I’m not a Christian, I reply – “Because I’ve read too much.”

Then why don’t you believe the scientists? – “Because I’ve read too much.”

I’ve learned that scientists in a number of fields can be, and often are, every bit as dogmatic, zealous and closeminded as those of faith in one religion or another.

My latest favorite example begins with the book, “The Cycle of Cosmic Catastrophes” by West, Firestone and Warwick-Smith…which I’ve read three times. The three of them were absolutely pounded by the establishment back in 2007. Unfortunately for the high priests of science, the evidence they were right continues to pile up from studies across the globe.

Then there was the “Clovis First” doctrine…pretty much shot to hell now!

Not to mention all the DNA amongst some S. American tribes shared with the native folks of Australia and Melanesia. Imagine the travel it must have taken to find its way there via Berinja up there in the Bering Sea! Uh, huh…

The guy who first theorized plate tectonics was pretty much considered a rube.

Climate “science” threw Freeman Dyson under the proverbial bus in a heartbeat for not toing the line on their global warming religion.

God forbid anyone should be actually interested in the truth of things.

    1. Actually, Al, the migration of folk westward through the islands of the Pacific Ocean has been so recent as to be fairly well documented through oral history. Do remember reading about the migrants who, heading northward, suddenly realized there was a star which didn’t move. We know they’d just crossed the equator and were seeing – for the first time – the North Star. But, for them, this was a phenomenon to be studied and so they took some time before venturing north to colonize the various island in the Pacific. It is quite likely the original voyageurs came from South America.

    2. Recently completed Who We Are And How We Got Here: Ancient DNA And The New Science Of The Human Past by David Reich. Very Interesting.
