I’m surprised they didn’t blame global warming.
They only exist because they are subsidized by the Tax Payer.
Even the NDP struggle.
Not “they”; “she”. No aspiring journalists seem to want to look at their books and ask where all the millions of taxpayer’s dollars given to her by Chretien, and pennies contributed by naive true believers all went.
The Party of One was, only ever, a party of one.
Really, what’s the point of any country’s so-called “Green Party” anymore when the traditional parties have pretty much adopted their same platforms/policy goals.
They lost ground because they revealed the truth about the green movement – the environment is not their highest value.
They lost ground because they’re a one trick pony.
And all the other socialist parties stole the same policy manual, just changed the timelines. Including ProgCons of OFool!

DrD – Is it good news, really? I think we need more left wing parties not less. That’s one more seat that will go to Trudeau or Singh… But it did put a smile on my face just because they had “green” in their party name!!

Unlike everything else, this has nothing to do with money and power.
It could be a clever fund-raising tactic.
Nothing that the Canadian Green Party has ever done could be considered “clever” other than getting on the nationally broadcasted leaders’ debates.
What I see is a party with a decades long history of white leaders, then, under two consecutive non-white leaders in the tiny space of about one year, that is now claiming to be “threatened with insolvency”.
The further you go left, the more hardcore racists you find.
Over almost 40 years, the Green Party won ridings a grand total of 7 times. By contrast, the Reform Party was the Official Opposition 10 years after its inception.
It’s a failed experiment. Shut it down completely.
The PPC deserves their spot at the next leader’s debate… if the country lasts that long.

A green movement and most social justice causes are the ultimate display of a segment of society with too much time or money on their hands. Things got too easy for urban housewives so they joined the party to save the world.
Now that their second choice, the Liberals, have jacked up the cost of everything and curtailed social gatherings through a trumped up health emergency, they either can’t afford to give to the party or have lost interest in the ever decreasing social cache that comes with being one of the enlightened class.
You can’t give money that you no longer have to what was essentially a social club for bored, rich, housewives.

The other parties have embraced green communism so there isn’t a place for a specifically green communist party.
Oh no! Just when they found a leader that inspires me.
It was always a party of the mentally unstable, leftist poseurs, and compulsive virtue signalers dedicated to green theocracy all of which can now be found in abundance in the LPC, NDP, and the CPC crossdresser. Their only useful function was to split the whacko vote and now that they’ve been displaced, they can’t even do that. Their loyal followers are in small pathologically homogenized clusters which explains why they still hold a seat.
Burn them and call in the loans. Kill it financially before it can raise its ugly head again. Then start working on the NDP.
