  1. “The ‘volunteer-led community’ says: ‘It is estimated that around one in seven people are neuro-divergent, meaning that the brain functions, learns and processes information differently.’ ”

In the United States we call these people Democrats.

  2. I am with you – I also have no idea what this means other than civil servants want to do even less work and still get paid the same or more for nothing.

    1. Steve, that was my assessment. Hiring the mentally ill and the terminally stupid is never a good idea.

    2. “Neuro” having to do with the brain and diverse meaning “all over the place,” it equates to scatter-brained.

  3. From my first read I think “neurodiverse” means “too stupid to ever learn the job requirements”. Given that they’ve removed any sort of merit- or intelligence-based metrics for hiring of most government employees, this development doesn’t surprise me at all.

Of course these dullards will have to placed on long-term disability, so we can pay them not to work while looking to restaff 1/7 of the government workforce. Then of course at least 1/7 of those new hires will also be too stupid to work…..

I had to put up with crapola like that while I was teaching at Armpit College.

I was expected by a certain department administrator to tailor my lectures and teaching method to accommodate ā€œalternateā€ learning styles, whatever that was supposed to mean.

It was simply an excuse (which, eventually, became institutional policy) to ensure that students who had no talent, let alone ambition, whatsoever would not only pass their courses, but graduate as well. After all, they paid their fees, so they expected their magic pieces of paper in return.

  4. Thanks for the post. For two years, 1982 and 1983, I had a clinical depression while doing my four years of PhD studies at Queen’s. Therefore I self-identify as “neuro-diverse”. I being depressed I am oppressed. Mark my words, it’s tough being oppressed. /sarc

    1. I went through a rough time during my Ph. D. residency, partly because I wasn’t making any progress with my research. My supervisor brushed it off as being “part of the grad student experience”. Nice guy, eh?

  5. “Content Note”: There will be things about life and the world that you won’t like. Kill yourself now to avoid these unpleasant experiences and free up space, resources, and opportunity for less fortunate people.

    1. I told a Prog on another site that if his white guilt was so overwhelming he should just eat a bullet & get it over with. He was offended by my suggestion so I guess it was all just smoke & mirrors.

  6. Mental Illness appears to be contagious affliction….
Public Service Unions eh…? the ROOT of pretty much all the Marxist EVIL on the planet.
    Trough feeding illiterate garbage.

  7. Surely a trigger warning that you are about to deliver a trigger warning should ease any trauma.

  8. “Neurodivergent” is what people with cluster B personality disorders claim they are so they can avoid accountability for their behaviour. “Neurodivergent” is the trendy new way to refer to people who don’t actually have autism but want to pretend they do for attention and perks. People who actually have autism, and parents of kids who actually have autism, are just fine calling it autism because their lives are hard enough without this kind of trendy bollocks.

  9. Just 1 in 7?
    Me thinks they undercount.
I believe the old world phrase was “Useless and Clueless”,or what we more modern taxpayers refer to as “Good Enough for Government”.

Also I have been listening to a 2 CD “The Kinks”..prescient..Perfect description of today, sung 30 years ago?

  10. reminds me of a comment from Einstein:

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not so sure about the universe.

I have lost all capacity for amazement with these idiots. I just shrug and get on with my life.
