60 Replies to “Path To Party Unity”

  1. If, in fact, the leader of CPC can just ‘kick out’ a senator from the caucus, then the party needs a new constiitution.

  2. Meanwhile, Mad Max is sponsoring his own leadership review.
Erin is as bad as the Turd, and those who voted for him are Progs.

    1. “Meanwhile, Mad Max is sponsoring his own leadership review.”

LOL has it been decided yet, which reviewer brings gold, which brings frankincense, and which myrrh? Come to think off it, do they have enough reviewers for that?

      1. I read it, didn’t realize calling someone out for their constant idiotic comments against a true conservative was offensive.

  3. Proving again that this party is conservative in name only. So we have berserk-Socialists, Libranos and CINOs. Oh and a few eco-marxists.

  4. Did he really say this??? Canadians booted your sorry pathetic a** to the curb Erin. They did not elect you to anything. Get lost.

“Just eight weeks ago, Canadians elected Conservatives to hold Justin Trudeau accountable for his economic mismanagement, and fight the cost of living crisis, skyrocketing inflation, and supply chain issues that are crippling businesses. That is our focus as a team.”

    1. “O’Toole does seem thin skinned.”

Very. From the start of the leadership race he repeatedly demonstrated his thin skin. Cancelling candidates, cancelling Sloan, cancelling any member who dared to say something unPC. That’s why I haven’t renewed my membership and will not do so unless there are actual conservative options in the next leadership race.

      1. There is a “favor/your mother” response to the above, but since Kate asked we play nice will not post it…

  5. O’Toole turned the Conservatives into the Liberals of 2 years ago. No true conservative supports him. The fact that more Conservatives aren’t calling for a review shows that the party is lost and so is Canada.

  6. Errant Ole Foole is not a leader. As a first pass, he should have met one on one and asked what her issues were. But no, she hands him a gun, and he shoots himself in the foot with it. He obviously isn’t much of a negotiator which means he was a lousy lawyer as well. And yes, the Conservative Party shouldn’t have allowed it to get this far, but they honestly believe that playing Liberal is a winning long term strategy. There isn’t much difference in attitude between the Spawn and the EOF.

  7. Erin O’Toole should be immediately removed as leader of the CPC.
Three-quarters of sitting CPC MPs should be challenged in their next nomination fights.

    1. It’s the attitudes and language on this page that has kept the Conservatives constantly in opposition. Its not the party policies or the philosophy be it red or blue Tory as much as the total inability to handle disagreement in a civilized and private manner. The Conservative Party plays musical chairs with their leaders and carries out vicious disagreement publicly. How do you convince the Canadian public that you are capable of running a country when you cannot even contain your internal disagreements in a constructive manner? Nothing on this page points to a mature and disciplined organization. Sounding like a group of yahoos isn’t the way to move forward. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot. Senator Batters has the right to disagree but setting up a web page to publicly air her disagreement was hardly the way to make her point. She deserved to be removed. Its disappointing that many of the party membership still have not learned the lesson of party discipline.

      1. Removing disagreers is certainly one way to handle disagreement O’Toole has been handling a lot of disagreement in the party; that’s why membership is down, votes are down and volunteers were down.

It appears that Canada is becoming two identical centrist parties that compete on personality of the leader with the NDP and PPC as the political opposition. Ossification will ensue until the PPC is in government.

      2. “It’s the attitudes and language on this page that has kept the Conservatives constantly in opposition.”

Huh? Are you really blaming commenters here for the CPC’s ineptitude? I think you’ve got the cause and effect exactly backward: It’s the (dictatorial) attitudes and language of the CPC that has led hundreds of thousands of small-c conservatives to instead vote for the PPC, the Maverick Party, or the Parti Libre. Maybe stop doing that and the CPC might win an election for a change.

        “She deserved to be removed.”

Did she? Do you think that O’Toole throwing any and all dissenters out of the party will help win back the 900,000 voters who opted for other conservative parties in the last election, or the hundreds of thousands more who decided to stay home rather than vote for the CPC? Because I’m thinking that he just shot himself in the foot yet again.

When these CPC hacks talk about building a big tent coalition in order to win power, they always mean moving to the left while casting aside everybody to their right. They’ve lost the last 2 elections using this boneheaded strategy, but rather than make a course correction they’re now tripling down on it. Hopefully they will continue to lose, and lose, and lose some more until they finally learn their lesson, which they probably never will.

      3. Katie Telford…is that you? Because I am pretty sure The Lying Libs are quite happy that they are getting absolutely NO OPPOSITION from the Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

      4. I know what Katie is saying but we have to do better than this. It should have been a easy win the craziness going on in Ottawa it is hardly believable. The next generation is going to be stuck with all this debt and we gained nothing . Some how we have to do better.

      5. The problem started right after O’Stoole became leader. He reversed his policies and aligned himself with the Lieberals and Dippers.
A real leader would have listened to his caucus at least privately so that it would be united publicly. O’Stoole couldn’t do that. Now all he does is make the mess of his own doing larger and larger. He is too arrogant to do any different.

  8. My advice to the rest of the CPC MP’s and senators is to all stand up and demand a leadership review. Force O’Toole to fire them all. Leave him standing in the ruins of his own making.

  9. O’toole was picked by the Canadian Elite to Lose.

Vote Maverick or PPC. Let’s get this party started.

I was wondering if we can trade Prince Edward Island to the US for “Future Considerations”?

The reason I picked PEI is their university is a “Holiday Inn Express”, they were on the losing side of the American Revolution, and they are too small. As Canada deals with the costs of governance, the obvious choice is to merge PEI with one of the Maritime provinces, but I don’t think that would work. Once you have set foot down that path, I expect citizens of PEI would like to join Maine.

I realize some would question thoughts about trading PEI for futures, but their Holiday Inn Express university does not have Canadian values. Also, their version of the CBC had crappy journalists who do not hold Canadian values.

All in all, they want to be part of the eastern coast of the US. I say we accommodate them.

  10. It looks like we need Western Conservatives since Eastern Conservatives are acting like Liberals. How about a new slogan:
“Let’s Go Brandon, Let’s Go Moose Jaw, Let’s Go Lethbridge, Let’s Go Kamloops”… and other western points.

  11. Nice moot comments.
I could stand right now in the House of Commons and listen to my epic fart reverberate off of mahogany. No one would be there to hear unless they forgot to turn off their Zoom feed while changing their underwear.
    Parliament is dead.
OToole may as well be the “conservative” cipher at this point. Won’t matter.
At this point, we may as well be arguing about how many redundant politicians can twerk on the head of a pin.
    Obey.
And I am an optimist. Woof.

  12. Quite the democrat.
I am more amused each day by the urgency of our elected leaders to crush all opposition.
Freedom of speech, right to be free of State coercion and the freedom to chose our own paths in life..
Mr O’toole is behaving like a fool,on his actions to date he is a fool.
This is what our progressive comrades, who style themselves as conservatives want.
Since the “merger” all Reform Representatives have been purged.
We are back to Confederated Kleptocracy,in which fiscal sanity and Western Canadians interests have no standing.

Further more ,Dear Leader Erin agrees with Dear Leader Justine on every idiotic attempt to RULE rather than govern.
You may have noticed the State Bureaucracies have no governor.
They are running wide open, unchecked by any standards of human ethics or monetary limits…
And none of our 338 elected fools and bandits dares say “Boo” or “Stop the stealing”..
I am convinced most of them do not even see a problem with our current situation.

Our parasitic overload is selling our national assets right out from under us.
Such treason is rewarded every election.

Why are we still part of this Con?

  13. The thing is that O’Toole is the party leader.
He can fire anybody he wants, that’s how it works.
The problem is that there are people that surround him and support him. It’s a common practice, the guy probably doesn’t know what is going on outside of his circle.
He really, really, really wants to be prime minister, so he screws thing up as he goes along.
The other problem of course is that most of the so called “Conservative” members of parliament, at least publicly, support him, lest they are thrown out as the others.
The guy screwed up, changing stated policies in the middle of election campaign is patently stupid, shows that the guy has feet of clay.
In the case of changing the policies, he behaves as a diktator, not following the accepted party program.
There are too many people around him who are commonly called yes men.
How is it that he does not see how stupid it looks to actual conservatives.
Yeah, he can do that. He is still the leader and certain Rempel sez, it’s all good.
It depends on the others around him to tell him to go sell shoes or something.
There is slight chance and none for that to happen.
    Who you gonna call?

    1. O’Toole did all those things because he was told to. He is paid to lose. He is a “Quisling”.

He is paid to bring in the New World Order by ensuring the Lieberals win.

      1. She was elevated by O’Toole to the shadow cabinet so of course she will be his loyal attack dog against the Senator that did the next best thing that any honorable losing party leader would do and call for a leadership review. O’Toole is a failure. He accepted all the bad advice and now he owns the loss. It’s all his. Any leader that wasn’t an insecure carpet bagger would let the party decide if he should stay on. If they go along then he has nothing to worry about. Not giving them the choice makes him a small man with a god complex. If he stays, Max will get 10% next election.

Rempel was whining about being too busy taking the Spawn to task to waste time on the leadership question. Does she and her caucus think that they somehow have the votes to do that or does she take the party membership for Morons?

        1. She and Pollievre are comfortable avoiding and discussion on jab mandates.
Can anyone find any quotes from them where they stand up for freedom of choice?

  14. Would you expect anything different? One thing you should expect if he is still around next election the CPC is going to do much worse.

    1. I like that idea. Hopefully Maxime will take that up when he’s back from his Churchillian Wilderness Time.

  15. Not sure if O’toole is a “Quisling” as Larry says but if it walks and quacks like a duck it likely is one. With O’Toole as leader Trudeau will have his majority next time and then O’Toole will be forced to resign. He will have accomplished his task of full on world order here in the country formerly known as Canada.

    1. So, if it walks and quacks, it’s a duck, but if it whistles while it’s kissing, it’s a quisling?

  16. You can take the progressive out of the title, but you cant take the progressive out of the party.

When the “CPC” has to choose between conservative and orogressive… The conservatives rae sent packing. Because reasons…

  17. CPC faux-con rap …

    Erin O’Toole, he’s no foole,

You must abide by the party roole,

Go Erin. Go Erin. Let’s go Erin.

  18. Oh’ Stool not only likes Liberal party policies he secretly want s to be Juthtin Turdhole, he’s probably a fan of Turdhole.
Think about it… Oh’ Stool copies and pastes Liberal Party policy and applies it as Con policy , now he’s kicking down woman who won’t stay quiet, who want to help Canadians fight for civil liberties and who want accountability for the failure of Con leadership.

Hell, I’d say old Mr. Stool is behaving exactly like his hero, Juthtin Turdhole.

The Con Party is a joke, just as the executive board that runs that party wanted.

Remember, the Con brass, the people that handle Oh”stools tiny balls, telling Dopey Oh’Stool what to say and what to think and which woman should be fired or silenced for having bigger balls then Arron, those people are not Conservatives , they are Liberals.
How do I know this ?
If it walks like a lying Liberal and talks like a lying Liberal and shits all over any and all Conservatives for speaking on Conservative ideology then they must be a Liberal… nothing could be more obvious.

Dopey the Stool has got to be flushed, but so does everyone else at the top of that pathetic cowardly party. There is a cancer in that party, has been for awhile and it starts and ends at the executive level.

Dopey the Stool is a coward a bully and a liar who can’t stand woman who challenge him… yep, he’s Juthtin Turdhole without the hair or the State and Corporate Media backing. A real Globalist POS.

  19. Michelle Rempel unfortunately illustrates why he must go. She’s been working all week to protect the oil sands work? Well, no one knows about that and it doesn’t seem to be working. There hasn’t been a peep out of the party, no attacks on Trudeau, Guilbeault, nothing. This cannot all be blamed on the bought-and-paid-for media.

  20. For many of us life long Conservatives, O’Toole’s shortcomings were very visible at the start of the Leadership Race. Like most of my peers I looked at each and every candidate and thought one basic thing. Not can they win, not “are they a leader”, certainly not “do I agree with everything they say”, What I was interested in was character. Nothing more nor less. Here are my convictions, we can shuffle priorities, we can place stuff on back burners, but THESE are my convictions and I stand up with pride to tell you about them. O’Toole’s flipflopping to achieve power left me cold.
I told my friends, I told my acquaintances, I shouted from the roof tops, to no avail.
So here I am today, just a poor dumb boy from Alberta (living in the Garden Center of Canada High Bluff MB) reminding everyone, CUDDA HAD MAX!

  21. The leaders you get when Unifor and any liberal or dipper with 10 bucks gets to vote for the leader.

  22. Nothing O Toole has done has changed my opinion of him since he “won” the leadership of the CPC. He’s a red Tory who will destroy this party, wonder how Lewis would have done as leader last election? Couldn’t have been worse than O Toole. Oh well I voted Maverick anyways, this country sucks and has been broken for a century, time to end the charade!

  23. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Came the Election, gone is the Party. Move along folks, nothing to see here. Same old, same old, Conservative Party. Two Elections on, I’ve given up on their learning from failure. If O”Toole had to debate Bernier he couldn’t win on any points.

  24. stop calling them conservatives. All of them. They are regressive con’s. The whole lot of them.

There are no conservatives in the CPC. Can’t say the name they go under.

  25. The PPC vote percentage will go up at the expense of CPC and the liberals will win their majority. Seen this play out before it seems. I can not bring myself to vote for this yellow bellied sheep of a politician who insults his base, insults the most dedicated wing of his party and expects no opposition to his positions within his party. Erin resign or cross the floor to Trudeau’s side where you belong.
