So has it been confirmed that JBTs are already ransacking houses looking for guns?
“That’s our sewer plant, currently”…words nobody wants to hear.
my daughter and kids are stuck in Vancouver they missed (good thing kids are slow) the Merritt slide driving back to Calgary.
It looks a lot like what happened to Canmore a few years ago. If you live in a mountain valley a good idea to build your house well above the bottom of the valley.
Currently sitting in the dark since 2pm this afternoon. Highway 1 is closed on the island and all BC highways into and out of Vancouver are closed. Looks like it could take a long time to fix so should be fun.
Obviously the fault of the unvaccinated.

i blame carbon dioxide.

Always blame Harper
That’s not helpful, Justin.
It’s because you had that global warming BBQ that one time.
Nah. Racism….. racism by whitey is what caused all this.
Well, TBF … whitey … DID create all that Co2 that caused this EXTREME WEATHER event … right? Isn’t Global Warming high on the “blame whitey” roulette wheel?
Lot’s of videos starting to pop up on YouTube:
Looks like the Coquihalla is going to be out for a while. Hope you aren’t waiting for something to ship from the coast:

Apparently Washington State had wind on top of the excess water:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK8xrGRoLLg
Where I am (Central Van Island) we didn’t get much wind…just lots of rain. Most of the local rivers rose 3-4 meters in 48 hours, with localized flooding. Any place where water flows, it is positively roaring. There’s flooding in the Cowichan Valley and the Malahat Hwy is closed. Apparently you could have tubed down it as the water was trapped between the barriers and had no place to go.
Ouch.
Since the MSM couldn’t find a way to blame Trump I hadn’t heard a thing about this.
Play safe kids.
You’d think they’d be all over this given they can claim its global warming.
Lower Mainland was a fun place to drive today! Apparently the flood plains where Richmond lies, well, flooded: the 99 linking Vancouver to the border has a section closed, but it can be bypassed. I walked the dog today from 6 AM TO 7 AM, and I can now guarantee that Border Collies don’t dissolve in water. Got reports that older homes in said Richmond, which were built before they started raising the ground on newer constructions, were at or below the water table.
Does this mean the drought is over?
The Okanagan escaped it, although we had a very unusual thunder and lightning storm yesterday with heavy rain in Kelowna. In November.
Merritt is now a suburb of Seattle, and Air Canada planes at Vancouver international are being used as canoes, with oars punched in through the passenger windows. Travelers were chained to their seats and are now galley slaves. It’s a bit wet out there folks. They can redirect those ships anchored off of LA, to head north and deliver their cargo’s directly to the Alberta border. New docks will be built in Canmore and Dawson Creek.
On a more serious side, I suspect we in lower BC are gonna have a real down home supply chain issue for the next while. Not exactly what any of us need added to the other current crap going on all over the place.
Indeed this is all Whiteys fault.
If we had not imposed the wheel upon the “enlightened we were here first residents”,there would be no roads to wash out,nor be buried by landslides.
No train tracks and no freight to impede..
Sarc off.
As for those learning why BCers have webbed feet, you are on your own,so start bailing now.
Waiting for your “professional helpers” to swoop in,to rescue you?
That is going to end badly.
Sympathy is in short supply, for those blaming climate change..
I guess you have to be willfully ignorant of BC history to proclaim this weather as “new and exciting”.
Which,based on results,is a state of mind,blessed ignorance..achieved by 12 years of Public Education.
How we can help, from outside the zone?
Send money?
It is not worth as much as we thought last week.
Send convoys of heavy equipment, operators and pumps?
Not sure Albertans are allowed into BC right now…
Full proof of Government Goo Shots, prior to accepting our help?
Full “emissions compliance certification” on our dozers?
Full membership in the correct NDP sanctioned union?
Who would be in charge?
For there is little point volunteering your skilled help, only to be subject to the idiocies of a Government Expert screwing up everything.
And of course BC being the Poster Child for State Control of the citizen, you have identified as a State that must be destroyed..
Hell even “Mother Earth” agrees.
What is next?
40 days and 40 nights of torrential downpours?
