Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

When everybody lies in the media, politicians, experts opinions, where can you find any accurate information?
Too many times what people say and do is the total opposite as they achieve they’re own agendas.
What to do, what to do…
That’s why we here look for other avenue available to get a better perspective to what’s reality.
are they “Useful idiots” or just garden variety morons?
no one should invest in china where odds are you will eventually have all of your “investment” seized by the chinese government
Unlike, say, investing in the AB energy sector.
700 billion in the scheme of things is peanuts. When governments owe multiple tens of trillions, hey wake up folks. Things just may be coming to that nasty end that many have been predicting.
If she was more educated regarding late 19th and early 20th century history, she would understand that the path the CCP is seeking is nothing new at all. It’s The Third Way, the one followed by Mussolini 100 years ago when he abandoned communism. Still, it’s top down, and as such, doomed to fail.
The Chinese problem is that there is no “property”, only leases from the state. The foundation of western free markets is privately held real estate, and the ability to borrow against it to raise capital. The Chinese have no property rights, just rights to occupy spaces in concrete boxes for 70 years. It’s all a hall of mirrors.
John
“privately held real estate” ?????, what zombie world do you live in?, there is NO such place on earth, especially in NA. If you take real estate course/real estate financing , you would know that. You own right to use, and that is all.Your model of chinese real estate , is an exact model of canada’s housing market.
Try not paying your property tax. The real owner will show up in short order, new locks put on the door and your possessions auctioned off.
Chinese “leadership” can’t keep the lights on right now, they aren’t going to fix almost a decade of utterly misguided capital spending by pulling a few levers and cranking a few dials. Tomorrow’s China is going to look like today’s China, they will do what every other government in the world has done in similar circumstances, kick the can down the road.
The chicom leadership wants to ignore the elephant in the room.
If you really want wealth creation and the most people benefitting from it the government has to give up control and restrict itself to only those things the individual can’t do themselves and stop being a communist dictatorship.
You know, multiparty elections, private ownership, individual rights, allowing Taiwan to be a separate and independent country, in other words ain’t gonna happen unless the military decides it won’t have a future in a communist dictatorship.
That only happens if a such a country goes broke.
Joseph…exactly!
Interesting read.
I summarize the article as the author describing the gradual reset.
I expect the Chinese to act like Chinese.
The Empire’s Mandate of Heaven has had blood flow like rivers since they organized their first village PTA meetings millennium ago.
For those who follow history its been basically an nonstop civil war there.
This financial mess will just set off the next round sooner or later (+/- a generation).
After all what do you think those 35 million extra males with no chance of a spouse are going to do?
And you think the West has a incel problem.
Personally I would never invest in a market for which I can’t know the true financial position, run by regimes with no theory of costs.
I will never believing betting on autocracy will make society or people more wealthy, except a few, with the rest partitioned into class.
Western politicians lack the discipline and patience of the Chinese leadership, who imho will nevertheless fail with their command economy.
When our unenlightened despots try it, it’s laced with negligence, cowardice and opportunism, so in the end it becomes a colossal failure.
Government.
Everything it touches.
Turns to shit.
More Government control?
More stuff destroyed and turned to crap.
Total Government control?
Complete Shitshow.
Canada Covid Cops.
Don’t they know they can grow the economy from the heart so that the budget balances itself? Sadly I have more confidence the CCP will do the right things than I do our own government will.
