Room for Improvement, Deena Hinshaw

“Doctor” Deena Hinshaw is the Chief Medical Officer of Health in Alberta. Given that a medical doctor’s first principle is to do no harm, she has clearly violated this oath:

Alberta health officials found themselves in something of a controversy last week when it came to how they report COVID-19 deaths. The province is now making a policy change that other jurisdictions would be well-advised to consider.

It all started when Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s top doctor, announced last Tuesday the number of COVID-19 deaths in the province. “This includes the death of a 14-year-old who had complex, pre-existing medical medical conditions that played a significant role in their death,” Hinshaw said, adding: “I extend my deepest condolences to the loved ones of all of these individuals.”

On Thursday, Hinshaw apologized to the family for making the announcement the way she had done. She also announced that, moving forward, they will not publicly report any COVID-19 deaths in anyone under 18 until a proper review of the death has been completed.

Ms. Hinshaw, how about not publicly reporting any Covid-19 deaths of anyone, of any age, until a proper review of the death has been completed? This would start with ALWAYS reporting the person’s age and a clear picture of their co-morbidities!  But asking this of you would mean that your professional responsibilities would have to supersede the political narrative you’re obliged to follow . . . and that’s a bridge too far to cross, isn’t It?!

  1. The media needs to stop referring to people like Hinshaw (and “Dr” Tam) as the “top doctor”. They are not. They are bureaucrats (and in Tam’s case, a W.H.O. stooge) with a medical degree and as such is less of a doctor and more of a bureaucrat.

    1. That’s how you encourage the kow-towing. Because they’re better than all the other doctors.

  2. The VERY NEXT DAY after Hinshaw apologized for making hay from the death of a 14yr old terminal brain cancer patient a reporter asked Doc Hinshaw if there’s been death’s initially reported as “Covid” that were actually caused from something like a car accident and then taken out of the Covid death numbers. The guy actually apologized at the end of his question by quickly adding that he never thought that the Gov’t would ever do anything incompetent like that. WTH??? Doc Hinshaw ACTUALLY admitted to doing exactly that when she had to apologize for using the 14yr old’s death as a guilt club to beat parents with unvaxxed kids over the head. The reporter had an easy slam dunk but he whiffed (like there was any hope he wouldn’t). Pure incompetent hypocrisy.

guy killed in a motorcycle accident in the states was
put down as a kunglu fatality.

when the hospital was called on it, the spokes-bot
said, “how do you know covid didn’t cause him to
      crash?”

that’s what happens when the government hands
out money to hospitals for each reported death.

tell me how many kungflu deaths were confirmed
      by autopsy?

      1. According to CBC there were approx ~16,000 deaths due directly to the WuFlu, not 600,000.
I get real annoyed at the bots when I suggest COVID’s not that serious and they come back with 600,000 death’s is not serious!!!! I tell the to turn off the fucking TV and read.

  3. There are only two conclusions: either she didn’t know and didn’t check and relying on the word of paid underlings, making her incompetent, or she knew exactly what she was doing, and blatantly lied. Not good either way. Reality bites, doesn’t it, Dana? Live by the narrative, die by the narrative.

  4. If she were Japanese, she would have made a big show of bowing very low while announcing her resignation. There would have been no real consequences.

The Japanese people who committed suicide at the end of the war didn’t do so because they accepted the consequences of losing a war. Their aim was to avoid them.

That’s why they surrendered to the Americans when they heard the Russians were coming. The Red Army would have made damn sure the Japanese paid for what they had done. Japan’s elite had all the honour of a cornered rat.

Consequences were for the idiots who went willingly on kamikaze flights to buy time for Japan’s elite to escape with their emperor.

(They were trained to make “Tenno heika banzai” their last words. According to legend, most of them cane to their senses a bit too late, and were crying for their mommies.)

Yup, our system is so refreshingly honest and transparent.

Our own predator class doesn’t even bother with public humiliations or resignations. They know they rule over slaves whose opinion isn’t worth any loss of face or job.

  5. Good doctors are working as doctors.

Bad doctors are also working as doctors, on ships and in prisons.

If a doctor is working as a bureaucrat, she isn’t a top doctor, a good doctor, or a bad doctor. She’s that hardened sludge underneath the detritus that collects at the bottom of the barrel.

  6. Doctor is simply a title given to people who have earned a doctorate degree. Nothing more, nothing less. It has nothing to do with what someone does for a living; some practice in the discipline in which they studied, some do not.
Nobody seems to disagree with calling our elected owners “Right Honorable”, a title one is awarded not for years of study, but for lying to, swindling and the wholesale violation of the fundamental rights of the masses.
Getting your panties in a bunch over titles is a bit much.

  7. I’m afraid you’re all wrong.
Deena Hinshaw isn’t Alberta’s “top doctor.” She is, de facto, Alberta’s Premier. She (or people pulling her strings) are calling all the shots now (no pun intended), not Jason Kenney.
    Medico-fascist authoritarianism, now and forever.

    1. There is a science fiction story about an alien society that was taken over by psychologists, resulting in a brutal fascist regime. Its called “Battlefield Earth.”
When I read it, I never dreamed anything like it could really happen, yet, here we are.

      1. Its called “Battlefield Earth.”

It was made into an absolutely dreadful movie, starring John Travolta.

I saw it. “Stinker” would be a compliment it doesn’t deserve.

        1. BADR:
yeah, they screwed up the movie pretty badly. It’s a shame, the book was half-decent.

  8. Everyone’s had enough experience and/or knowledge by now to realize that we are subject to a government medical cartel. Workers in it, whether distinguished by a government practitioners licence or not, are employees of the system, and do what they are told by their superiors or are fired.

The “tireless, selfless, healing saint in white jacket” made fashionable by hollywood is fiction. If you must persist in hollywood narratives, think Ronald Reagan screaming “where’s the rest of me?”.

    1. Didn’t Ronald Reagan also said “ They know so much that isn’t so”?
If the AHS would have tossed a coin for every decision they made they would have been right much more often.

      1. Didn’t Ronald Reagan also say “ They know so much that isn’t so”?

He sure did. That was in real life. The line I referred to was from one of his best roles in the movie “King’s Row”, in which a psycho doctor sawed both his legs off unnecessarily.

If the AHS would have tossed a coin for every decision they made they would have been right much more often.

You bring up a good point. I can’t remember who I should give credit to, but a smart person once said: “if all the evil our rulers commit were really just ‘mistakes’, occasionally, by the law of averages, they’d make a mistake in our favour. Since they never do, we must assume there are no mistakes and the consequences are fully intended.”

  9. I can’t take this chick seriously ever since you posted the clip of her using Purell eighteen times in thirty seconds. The OCD is deep with this one.

    1. It wasn’t just that. It was her form of virtue-signalling, namely that she has cleansed herself of all Covid unrighteousness.
