“Experts”

Looks like Saskatchewan is in good hands.

Update, from Kate: 1,950 quote tweets — and counting. It’s distressing to watch the Moe government take an 18 month record of reasonably sane and balanced Covid management and piss it all away. If the idiot responsible for that tweet isn’t on the street looking for a new job by dawn break, they deserve every bit of derision they’ve received – and then some. Pure, incomprehensible stupidity.

  1. The more the sheeple refuse to comply, the more desperate the government becomes and the flimsier the excuses it uses.

  2. New CASES & hospitalizations. Sniffles? Get tested! Oh look, you have wuflu – now we can add one to the scary column.

  3. Wow, that’s some shameless propaganda there. There’s no point in calling it anything else from now on.

  4. I strongly suspect that in Sask, many of the cases are Natives. Natives and Blacks are particularly susceptible to Covid, and they are among the less vaccinated groups. So, it could be vaccine status, or it could be genetic, weight, diabetes, etc. where these groups also are more at risk.

Do you mean that you actually believe that the cv Vaxx does some good? You’ve flipped-flopped? You do not sound like your usual skeptical self, LindaL.

    2. 100%. You can even find the data to prove that on the covid dashboard. By looking at the number of cases by region.

  5. More proof that for some people facts only exist in isolation.

Their claim in the Twit – 78% were not fully vaxed. (Suggesting that 22% were)

So I went looking to find the % partly vaxed and instead found from the search results linking to what I believe to be the official Saskatchewan website that “More than 90 per cent of all new cases and hospitalizations in Saskatchewan in July were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people.”

So July to Oct we have gone from more than 90 to 78%

Sure, apples to oranges, but on surface level it would seem that in 3 months the number of fully vaccinated illnesses has tripled.

    1. They fudge the numbers by including the under 12’s in the totals. Those must be removed before calculating the “breakthrough” rate, but they don’t. Not good, it undermines credibility.

  6. Saskatchewan health care has too many floaters that talk out of both sides of their mouths. Here is their “October 5th” Press Release:
    https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/news-and-media/2021/october/05/covid-19-vaccination-prevents-serious-outcomes-across-all-age-groups

…Among the cases reported in September, 72 individuals passed away; 35 were unvaccinated or less than three weeks after their first vaccination…

More than 50% of the “DEATHS” they reported were to people fully vaccinated.

“They” can’t remember something they put out 2 weeks ago?

    1. I guess you haven’t been paying attention: If you die with covid in your nostrils and are unvaccinated, comorbidities don’t matter…you died of covid. If you die with covid in your nostrils and are vaccinated, comorbidities matter and they killed you.

  7. Just wow…I wanted to respond to that tweet with “This is demonstrably false.” But, they put a governor on who can respond. Only their employees can respond …and I assume they can dictate HOW they can respond. Sort of like someone outlawing a phrase like “Let’s go Brandon.”

    1. I think it says that only people who were mentioned in the tweet can respond. No mentions in it so no replies. It’s fucking pathetic and makes me want to delete my twitter account.

  8. Since “partially vaccinated” seems to count as “unvaccinated”, it would appear the first shot is worthless, then. So why can’t we skip that, and go direct to the second one?

  9. It matters not what the facts are, only the official government narrative. Not including yesterday.

  10. Was trying to sort through the government speak to work out what they are actually saying here and discovered that under their definition the you are not even ‘Partially Vaccinated’ until weeks after the first jab.

So, speculation, if you were to get jabbed, then have an Adverse Event and go and see a medical professional (survey feedback in Australia suggest 1% of all Adverse Events are harsh enough for the victim to seek medical advice), are you considered a Covid case or a Vax Victim?

(On the top of Adverse Events in Australia the TGA reports claim 66,829 Adverse Events as of Oct 3 (c.f. total Covid Cases in Australia… yes…numbers about the same, aren’t they?) yet the TGA report that claims that links to Ausvaxsafety.org.au who claim out of 3.99 million surverys 43.6% reported at least one adverse events. So that would be about 1.74million or roughly 26 times the amount the TGA are claiming. These numbers mean that with the 28.7 jabs given out in Australia, about 1 in 16 had an Adverse Event after and that about 3 times the amount of people saw a doctor or visited hospital than the total number of Covid cases recorded in Australia.)

    Someone is farcing with numbers.

Nothing that I can recall has brought the gov’t. monopoly in Health Care into disrepute, as the fake/manipulated/censored narrative on Covid-19 Lockdowns, jabs(clot shot) and suppression of safe and effective therapeutics. The persecution of competent, ethical physicians and researchers attempts to warn the public of the facts is particularly egregious.

Elected representatives have an obligation to fire the incompetent and those of moral turpitude, and the citizenry have an obligation to see that happens. Yes even, if it requires replacing many, most or all elected representatives with competent, honest citizens.

    So be it.

  12. That statement is complete and utter bullshit. What kind of uneducated boob would even write that? Here I was hoping maybe we had turned a corner in Sask but apparently we’ve turned down an alley and shut the lights off. WTAF?

    1. We have turned a corner.
We have turned away from science and common sense and to fear and cowardice.

  13. As a Saskatchewan resident all I can say is that I am extremely embarrassed by our health officials who tweeted this garbage. Unfortunately, only very few people bother to educate themselves to know what a farce this is. Moe, Larry, and Curly Joe are useless.
Remember, the Saskatchewan Party was an amalgamation of the conservative party and the Liberal Party of Saskatchewan in order to unite the right and keep the CCF-NDP out of power. It looks like the Liberal voices have taken over. Clearly there are no freedom loving conservatives left in the Ledge.
And every day Gormley has doctor Blond Joe on the radio to tout the government line. Pathetic.

    1. You beat me to it. How unfortunate we have Larry and Curly as Moe’s chief policy advisors! What a fucking lampoon this has turned in to!

Right about Gormley too. Almost un-listenable these days with his pig-headed-ness regarding legitimate concerns about the efficacy of the so-called vaccines and the peoples’ right to question. I hate to say bought and paid for, but I think rather, completely gullible. One day he’ll have to wear it.

      1. Totally agree Nini and Snag. Unlistenable. I went from a daily listener to hesitant… Hesitant to push the button on my truck radio to listen to 650 CKOM. Gormley has completely lost his way over this vaccine bullshit.

        1. I begrudgingly agree with all of you. While I’ve never thought Gormley was a legitimate conservative, he seemed to be a voice of reason amongst the cacophony of progressive stutters in this province. At least until Covid that is, now his true lefty colours are showing. I assume his retirement is planned and he has nothing to lose before he moves to the socialist utopia of California with his kids, so he doesn’t have to hide his true leftist opinions and his contempt for rural Saskatchewanians.

  14. It takes a grade 4 education to do the math required to completely debunk this tweet.

  15. Vaxxed or not?

Vitamin D, Zinc, and Vitamin C. Low Vitamin D levels have been tied to COVID Hospitalizations and deaths. You can do this yourself. You don’t need a doctor or some government officials permission.

  16. This article attempts to explain why the U.S., with a head start, has relatively low vaccination rates.
The ones you see waving signs on TV are a small percentage, even of the unvaccinated.

// The loud, ideological anti-vaxxers exist, and it’s not hard to understand the anger directed at them.
All this may make it seem as if almost all the holdouts are conspiracy theorists and anti-science die-hards who think that Covid is a hoax, or that there is nothing we can do to reach more people.
Real-life evidence, what there is, demonstrates that there’s much more to it. //

It’s not misinformation, or the over-65s wouldn’t be at 95%.

//The research and data we do have show that significant portions of the unvaccinated public were confused and concerned,
rather than absolutely opposed to vaccines. //
    &
// Research on the unvaccinated … from this September showed the most powerful predictor of who remained unvaccinated was not age, politics, race, income or location, but the lack of health insurance. //

One startling stat: between 15 & 25 percent of reluctant vaxxers may be afraid of needles.
[although most wouldn’t give that reason]

    1. The “afraid of needles” is B.S. It is just another attempt by the vax fascists to shame those who don’t want to participate in medical experiments.

    1. Your risk from covid is dependent on whether you’re healthy enough to withstand the shit-kicking it can give you.

  17. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
    C. S. Lewis

  18. Anyone else notice a very strong correlation between the life insurance permium curve and covid age-strata morbidity curve?

Like it’s almost the case thatbthe people who make their living forecasting peacetime mortality rates get it about right the majority of the years, century by century…

  19. Moe hasn’t given us 18 months of reasonably sane anything. The moment last year I heard the SaskParty was going to tell me how many people I was legally allowed to have in my own home, they lost me. Trudeau hasn’t even gone that far…
