October 17, 2021: Reader Tips

This evening we begin with an apropos quote for this current Age of Insanity that Leftists have dragged us all into:

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”

H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women

Here’s an interview of Mr. Mencken.

Your best tips of the past day are much appreciated!

    1. Great job reducing their CO2 emissions, isn’t it? Great link, though the greenies will love it.

    2. If Air Can’tada and WorstJet were to try this, it actually might be an improvement.

          1. Nothing like a casual, relaxing approach to air travel, isn’t there?

      1. Haha! Now that’s service with a smile. No talk of climate change, the weather, or suspiciously moist ground.

      2. Evidently the directors of Air Can’tada and WorstJet must have watched that as their service is, at times, nearly at that level.

    3. The more they force vaccination, the higher the death rate and the larger the increase in hospitalization of the vaccinated.
Yet the governments just will not accept that they are killing people.
First GOVERNMENTS created the VIRUS. That has killed, now they force a mystery vaccine on the people that is killing us.
People need to openly reject and rebel against all of the CRIMINALS in Governments at all levels, local, provincial and federal.
      They are all CRIMINALS.

    1. Know what else is interesting? Do any of those multimillion dollar studies explain why there are no trans-men (born female) competing in men’s sports?

    1. There is speculation that both China and Russia are well ahead of the U. S. in hypersonic missiles. But that’s what one hears publicly.

    1. Talk about projecting.
All the ones being punished in the cartoon are from the far-Left supposedly by the “evil Republicans”. Now that it has actually come to pass, it is the far-Left that is doing the persecuting.

    1. Those who have a shitty today … are often the primary cause of that malaise.

While I have always looked forward to an improvement in my lot in life – tomorrow … I have always thoroughly enjoyed my today. Always. Even during the darkest days of my life.

Those who pine for a better tomorrow … should look at their OWN contribution to their malaise. I suspect many, many, disaffected youth of today … who want to tear down Capitalism, tear down America, tear down “old conservatives” … all in an effort to make a “better tomorrow” should look at their OWN negative behavior.

      Not a very “super” manliness.

    1. What are the odds of hundreds of thousands of products created that I would need something essential that needs hundreds of parts…
Certain shortages will escalate as they no longer available and using something different isn’t an option in the hundreds of thousands of products that require a technicians to install…
Sounds pretty simple when we’ve have too many product choices that need one special part.
A disposable society with a supply chain stoppages as companies close and no longer exists is being created.

      What could possibly go wrong?
I know, let’s change everything electric to a different technology that isn’t available nor will be available.

  1. Chatted with my Brother who works in the Port of LA. Here is his direct quote:

“Ports are full of containers, loads can’t be taken out quick enough, shortage of chassis’ are the problem. Amazon and target are paying extra for the ports to hold chassis for their loads. Messin’ everyone else up”

The “chassis” he is talking about are the trailer units the containers are lowered onto, secured and the truck drivers just drive away.

So the CIA gave Bezos the money to start Amazon, it is their shipping company, indirectly.

Put the dots together yourself for bringing the picture into better focus.

    1. It’s more than that.
The tractors required to haul those containers aren’t there.
A full 50+% of all eligible tractors in the USA are not allowed to operate in California.
Thanks to C.A.R.B. all trucks must be younger then 2010 models with the full emissions crap on them.
If you need a new truck, sorry none available due to parts unavailable.
Those that are finished are being cannibalized for parts for the existing fleets just to keep rolling.
This shit has been on a low boil for a few years and was waiting for the perfect storm and here we are.
The remainder of the truck drivers that have not refused the government goo are working long hours playing catch up if they can.
Most wait on the containers for up to 6 or 7 hours cause they can’t find them or are buried at the bottom of a huge pile.
Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot and all the big boys saw this coming and are redirecting ships to other ports in the Gulf or on the East Coast.
Going through the Panama Canal or the Suez adds huge costs to the shipping not to mention the extra fuel to send those ships on extended missions around the globe just to get around the crazy port shit on the West Coast.

Coupled with shortages of drivers & trucks plus a mountain of containers continuing to pile up, you get FUBAR.
This is a feature not a bug.

  2. Been to Home Depot the other day.
They, being woke rich socialists, will tell you by PA speakers that they are inclusive, against everything that is not pure and for everything that was at one time considered somewhat perverse is good.
The massive socialist/fascist propaganda is now done by big kapitalist (sic) business.

Remembering from the second half of the twentieth century, even the communists did not sink that deep.
In the early 50’s they would drive around in old trucks with mounted speakers, doing their best to teach the proletariat how they will create paradise on the planet.
Apparently, the current crop of rich socialists have learned and improved.
The only question remains, when will they, the socialists, fascists, communists, go for them?
    And they will, guaranteed.

    1. Meanwhile, we’re now constantly being reminded that our educations are invalid because the institutions were on “stolen” land:

      https://www.uvic.ca/hsd/socialwork/home/home/welcome/index.php

Don’t think that parochial schools are exempt. The other night, I was looking up an old acquaintance, who, apparently, is working at one. Each page on its website that I saw had a disclaimer that went something like this:

“This institution has been here for xxx years, but we admit that the land we are on is the traditional territory of the XXXX and X’X’XXX peoples, who were here first and were noble stewards for thousands of years.”

The second place also happens to be in B. C., so I’m not completely surprised at that. Odd, though, that none of the staff whose pictures were shown were wearing sackcloth and ashes in their portraits as an act of contrition and repentance…..

      1. Not just that BADR, but every corporate meeting now starts with the squishy apology that we “occupy the Unceded ancestral lands of the gkfdh&x’T7gh* peoples” and are lucky to be here.
It’s NAUSEATING. My wife , who will be tossed out of work/retired Nov22 by the fascist NDP, due to her Natural Blood status, also has to listen to this trash in all her meetings, though, that comes to an end, as noted. She welcomes retirement, though it’s not on her terms. As a result, she will be taking all her bank time soon, last day, end of this month. Her department managers are freaking out. Well, they need to relay to their ministry directors that arbitrary actions have consequences!
We are living in a surreal, alternative universe.

        1. The reciting of that expression of self-flagellation is like that part in a church service liturgy when one confesses one’s sins, isn’t it?

        2. There was a note posted recently indicating thst some place in New Brunswick has banned the testimonials, I believe fearing they would lead to legal enhancements. I am personally getting really sick of all these mea culpa’s. The objective seems to be to destroy English Canada. Queen Victoria’s statue was destroyed, but I have heard nothing about historical Quebec heroes being denounced.

  3. Disturbing cockpit video of the recent plane crash near San Diego:

    https://vidmax.com/video/207954-frightening-cockpit-video-shows-the-final-moments-of-the-plane-that-crashed-in-santee-california

The plane was a Cessna 340 – a twin-engined 6-seater. I also note the full glass cockpit, so this was an expensive toy. He was flying IFR and heading for an ILS approach. A few things I noticed:
    1. Lovely weather with scattered Cu, at the start of the video he is above the cloud base so the air would likely be nice and smooth, yet he is constantly rocking the plane – first sign of trouble?
    2. His radio calls start off quite normal, but very quickly deteriorate. After the two minute mark, he barely responds to the tower. When flying IFR you are required to give a full read-back of all control instructions, which he was not doing near the end.
    3. The controller appeared calm, but there was a definite change in his tone. When he started to call the pilot ‘Sir’ I guarantee the controller was seriously worried, but remained professional.
    4. There was the report of a crash while the plane was still in the air. Likely he was below the radar, although he would be using ADS-B which would still show him flying.
    5. Once he stopped responding to the tower, the pilot was probably unconscious (or even dead).

Question is: pilot was vaxxed – a contributory factor? I also note there was a similar crash of a Pilatus PC-12 that crashed into a building somewhere in Europe a few weeks ago. Coincidence?

    1. There’s a reason pilots are rejecting the jabs. There are recent reports of pilots being jabbed suffering from deep vein thrombosis (blood clots) after the jab, and with the consequence of high altitude frequency, by pilots, bringing the condition on.
Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.

  4. 10000 out of 42000 Manitoba health care workers who work directly with patients have not disclosed their vax status ahead of the Monday deadline…

  5. I could have sworn that the Government and the Media swore that “No Go Zones” were imaginary hobgoblins.

“In 2050 we will be a half-Islamic country, in 2100 we will be an Islamic republic”, according to Éric Zemmour, the journalist and presidential hopeful in 2022. This difficult but staggering reality denounced by Zemmour is recognized by everyone, even on the left.

France’s General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) has mapped 150 districts “in possession” of Islamists. These neighborhoods have become enclaves in the hands of fundamentalists, who shape the areas according to their ideology, which, as the word Islam itself denotes, is one of submission. In places such as Roubaix, “the situation is assuming worrying proportions”, according to a prefect speaking with Le Figaro. Or the center of Perpignan, where “aggression, drug trafficking, Muslim communitarianism, racial tensions and tribal violence” force non-Muslims to move elsewhere. Or Les Izards, a district of Toulouse, “where Arab gangs control the streets in a climate of fear”. Or Grigny, a district on the southern outskirts of Paris, “a lawless territory”. Or in Grenoble.

    1. Filez – i don’t think many of them will need to worry about having job -Met my son Saturday for breakfast at a restaurant that would have a wait line in normal times- the parking lot was empty and they had a total of 3 customers . The mandates are working!
