    2. Ever think maybe this was queued by Kate before Robert posted? It’s like time released kibble for people such as myself who might otherwise gorge themselves and/ or suffer withdrawal during long away (having a life) periods. So… file it under great minds.

  4. Actual science, such as fluid mechanics, used to counter the virus horse pucky is branded as “opinion”. If I was to tell such disciples that I have 4 degrees in engineering, which means that I can read, analyze, and draw a conclusion, I’m branded as a crank, a “denier”, and a heretic.

    But Dr. Fruitfly or Dr. Niel deGasbag Tyson, well, they’re real scientists, aren’t they? How dare I not kowtow in worship?

I’ve pointed out to many of my non-technical friends that they don’t need to know all the fiddly science to evaluate the truth of these kinds of claims – they just have to think about what else should be true if the claim they’re being presented with is correct, and then check that. For instance, if recycling is economically advantageous, why is no one paying for my garbage? Why is no one mining trash heaps for usable raw materials?

      In this case, the question I keep asking them is: if this is a pandemic so deadly as to require all these extraordinary measures, then where are all the bodies? Even assuming the “official” numbers are correct, the numbers of dead simply doesn’t rise to an abnormal level, and is 80% concentrated in LTC homes. That’s the government’s official information. Where are all the bodies?

        definitely not in Elementary and grade schools; unless you are countingillnesses and deaths from RSV and Influenza, and NOT FROM COVID.

      2. When I was going to the university student clinic for dental services, I often shocked people that I already knew much of what I was told. Gee, all I did was take courses in topics such as strength of materials, basic structures, and corrosion.

        Nah. I wasn’t a dentist, so I wasn’t allowed to know any of that as such concepts are regarded as sacred secret knowledge.

        Worse yet was that I’m actually Dr. BADR. How dare I use a title that’s “reserved” only for them? Uh, no. I do not claim a doctorate in dentistry or medicine, nor do I claim to be a dentist or physician, so I neither violate a right to title (it is printed on my degree, after all) nor scope of practice.

        Unfortunately, that same mentality applies in the context of the phony plague. Since I’m not a physician–worse yet, not an immunologist or virologist–I’m told to shut up. Sometimes those who tell me that have even less of a background on the subject than I do, but they happen to occupy the “right” position or wear the “right” uniform.

      3. Daniel, something I questioned a year ago was where are the bodies? I contacted several funeral homes that told me there was no abnormal increase in the business. Have a family member in the business on the east coast, same thing just normal volume. When all deaths are being classified as “covid” the the lie continues.
