  1. Miss his wonderful comedy and insights!

No doubt today’s media and politicians would be jailing him for his no nonsense bullshit on them being hypocritical morons.

      1. You will all be disappointed with me, but in addition to “showing my papers” to get in and out of Hawaii this past week … I also was required to show it to get into Mamas Fish House (IMHO the finest restaurant in America). Because this was a family gathering, I didn’t want to upset everyone by resisting and causing a scene. Because I fear my wife’s wrath far more than I fear COVID.

So, my quiet protest was to show the young girl in the parking lot my vaxx card … then inform her it was really cheap to buy this card on eBay. Really easy to get these fake cards. Just to inform her what I thought of their (their State’s) vaccine passport policy. I dared her to verify it was real or fake.

No. No other restaurant, bar, or place of business demanded my papers during our holiday. Only this high profile restaurant. Probably because their panicky patrons demand it. Fools.

  2. That clip was very good. This extended version is much better than the one posted a link to here a couple of weeks ago. I practice and have practiced all my life the George Carlin recipe for personal cleanliness. I only shower every other day etc. etc. I am not afraid of germs at all. The only time I am especially conscious of cleanliness is on date night (which, I confess, only occurs about once a month now).

    1. As I have aged (and have been self-employed) … I rarely shower every day. It’s really unnecessary. If I work outside and get all nasty sweaty, then of course I shower. Or when my hair gets greasy (still have my flowing locks). Otherwise, not needed.

My kids joke by asking if it was a “shower day” or not? Usually not. I know, TMI … but on topic.

  3. Yes Carlin was a gem. He loved his wordplay, and torturing the English language to death. He also like torturing his own body with excess, though he cleaned up in his later years.
That said, Carlin was a leftist. It’s difficult to place him into today’s PC culture to see how he would have changed. All his routines were as far from PC as you can get, but leftists have a way of rewriting their own history, and erasing it.
    Exhibit 1 : Chao Xiden.
Can’t help but think that real comedy died with him. Norm McDonald notwithstanding.

  4. Today’s perpetual germaphobe control freaks would crap their drawers if born a half century earlier.

Hand sanitizers? Wtf’s that? Wash your hands before supper, not dinner, btw, which is noon-time, Supper! And of course the Saturday night ritual…. bath time for the whole family! Water was scarce you know. Poor little darlings down the food chain… don’t recall ever losing one re turbidity….lucky maybe.

Gardens, everybody had them, and were a treasure trove for hungry juvenile denizens. Peas and cucumbers no prob, but radishes, carrots, a swipe across this week’s allotted blue jeans would do to get most of the mud, turnips on the other hand needed a slicer, what better source than a tin can lid from the trash heap?

Milking time, a twice daily occurrence had its own challenges. Some subjects took offense to their mammary exploitation (some things never change) and would counter with a manured hoof in the milk pail. Oh well, that’s what cloth strainers are for, to remove the chunks!

I’m telling you, this germ phobia is not helping. Allow exposure to enable our natural immune systems to do what they’re designed to do! But Big Pharma has other plans…

  5. I put up with many who nodded in agreement with George Carlin just to be the hysterical COVID-phobes of today.
I just shake my head how brainwashed the sheeple have become.
Some Dippers masquerading as doctors are demanding another lockdown for Alberta. The Union/Dipper MSM are still making me glad I cancelled my paper subscriptions.

  6. It is interesting, is it not, to compare the Carlin video with that of Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s top Doctor, obsessively santizing her hands, shown in the earlier post “She’s Cracked”. Carlin may be a comedian but he was intelligent. Hinshaw attended medical school but was, no doubt, a “grinder”. She lacks intelligence. At least this what I hope. I would not like to think she was being deliberately dishonest in order to please her masters. Of course Carlin also recognized this type in “The Big Club” routine. Hinshaw wants to be in the Big Club and, so, has a combination of the minimum competence and is obedient. Above all she is submissive. Witness her grovelling apology about misjudging the path of the covid virus, taking 100% of the blame and absolving Kenny and his Health Minister of any blame. But, joining The Big Club? Sorry, Toots, it ain’t gonna happen.

    1. Hinshaw doesn’t believe A WORD of the crap/script she spews.
She “has dead eyes……… like a dolls eyes..” (From JAWS)

She probably wishes an asteroid would take her out of this miserable farce she is starring in.
      She has company…..

  7. Our father was the designated parent who mended/medicated my siblings and I. He believed in mecurochrome (sp?) which was a nasty purply red product which stung like heck! The whole time he was disinfecting us, he had a cigarette dangling from his lips with hot ash sprinkled over the wound. Somehow, we all survived.
Late in life, one of our brothers noted that if Costco had been around in the 50’s and 60’s, Dad would have bought the mecurochrome by the pail!

  8. Our family joke is that my daughter has the MOST robust immune system in the family. Why? Because while playing in our backyard sandbox as a young toddler … she packed both her nostrils full of wet sand. Who knows why!? Perhaps she suffered from a bout of ‘Pica disorder’.

It took me 20 minutes with tweezers and a syringe to get all of it out of her nose. Freaking kids!!
