Dream vs Reality

I’m a Teacher. I’m About to Quit.

The MAGA students are getting worse. They’ve always complained about safe spaces. The classroom is supposed to be one. They don’t like that.

They’ve turned classrooms into one of the most dangerous places in the world. Imagine a bunch of people with different views and experiences, all randomly thrown together in a room and asked to talk to each other while learning how to debate topics like abortion and global warming. Now let some of those students have guns, and add a deadly virus.I’ve got a handful of straight up MAGA assholes in my classes this year. They’re anti-masking, anti-vaxxing conspiracy theorists.

How bad are they?

  1. There’s hope for schooling in the states maybe. Be nice to see all the commie teachers quit.

    Go MAGA!!

  2. “I’ll never feel safe in a classroom.”

You see, you have traded liberty for safety and got neither. Serves you right. Hope one of those evil MAGA students sneezes in your presence and that will make you shit yourself in front of the whole class.

    1. I didn’t like the way things were going at Armpit College, so I exercised my right to resign. I had no regrets when I left campus for the last time.

I’d advise Dr. What’s-her-name to do the same.

        1. Well, yes, there is that. Many of the schoolteachers I knew liked that part.

Oh, and having a guaranteed job once one was made permanent.

        2. Which is part of the reason she has such a ‘poor’ wage: it’s a 10 month salary, not a year’s wage!

      1. But … did you “believe” in as many direct falsehoods as she did … such as students being allowed to carry guns in school? Or how MAGA students hate education and deny slavery ever happened.

Her resignation would be a step in the right direction for public education. Fewer lunatics in the classroom should start with her

  3. A whinosauras in the wilds of the classroom. She thinks that MAGA students are the problem? Look in a mirror.

  4. They’ve turned the classroom into one of the most dangerous places in the world. No hysteria there.
Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

    1. The dangerous classrooms are in Democrat controlled cities. Chicago, LA, SF, Philly, Detroit, and good old New York City. The students, those who bother to show up to school, enjoy extracurricular activities, like fighting, assaulting teachers, smoking, taking drugs, drinking. And the results prove it. Less than half the “graduates” in the Chicago school system read at grade level.

  5. Here’s a fun exercise, take that article and replace ‘students’ with ‘teachers’ and then you’ll get the real picture.

  6. Poor baby someone said a bad word to her Boo hoo. Go sit in the safe space and cry your little eyes out. Poor poor baby.

  7. As Glenn Reynolds at instapundit is fond of saying ‘sending children to public school is a form of child abuse’.

  8. Progressives tell us they value other people’s opinions. Also, progressives surprised to learn others have opinions different from theirs.

  9. I almost couldn’t finish reading through my tears.

The students don’t need guns, they can send whiny little teachers running with harsh language.

  10. Or you could, I dunno, maybe get the students to establish their beliefs, and defend their reasons for that belief while you introduce the grays of the matter? Or, introduce a new angle that challenges their preconceptions, toss in hypothetical situations, or maybe, just a crazy idea, but teach history. Why is the rise of the left with a 100 million+ dead, not as feared as the rise of the right, which founded free countries?

I’m ashamed that this one was released into the wilds of education. Euthanasia of her career would of been a better idea, and directed into manual labor as a farm worker.

  11. I don’t know the situation re teachers in the USA so can’t comment on that, but I DO know the situation here in Little Socialist Canader: teaching is one of the best paying taxpayer funded careers out there with very good benefits. Beats the hell out of nursing, for instance.
I know and have known many teachers, all loved the pay, time off, and benefits, I never heard one complain about that trilogy of benefits. Teachers here have a very powerful union and have health care plans the rest of us can only dream of.
That’s not to say many of them aren’t dedicated to their work, we’ve had kids in several schools, and found some excellent teachers, and also many who were going through the motions until they hit that glorious day where their age and years on the job added up to the magic number and they could retire with a very nice pension.

But so many teachers seem to believe their job is far more valuable than the guy who works the oil patch or the tradesman who builds and maintains the infrastructure, and look down their noses at them from their modest ivory tower. I have little sympathy for teachers.

Yup. I used to be in a social circle that had included a lot of teachers about my age. Many of them looked down on me because I was frequently worried about whether I’d still have a job to go to the next day, not to mention that, thanks to the aftermath of PET’s NEP, I had lost nearly two productive years because I was unemployed.

Their attitude seemed to be that I should have become a schoolteacher, where such issues never arose.

  12. Teachers in Alberta just top $100,000 and all they do is piss and moan how abused they are. They’ve never grown up.

Apparently having a few students who haven’t succumbed to classroom propaganda is threatening. Why is she even talking about abortion and global warming in class? Apparently she can’t stand political opinions other than her own.

    1. $100k/yr + summers +school VaCa+full family Med/Dental+sick days+ personal days+professional days+pension+full retire medical……..

    2. Teachers in Alberta just top $100,000 and all they do is piss and moan how abused they are. They’ve never grown up.

University professors aren’t much better. My Ph. D. supervisor, who not only had his position for more than 20 years when I signed on with him but was also tenured, whined incessantly about his money problems.

After having survived a few years of unemployment, thanks largely due to the economic policies of PET and Mulruin, I had no sympathy whatsoever for his apparent plight.

  13. Hilarious – “about” is the key word folks which is Progressivese” for “the money’s too fucking good and I can’t walk away from my tax payer funded platinum plated pension only because the significant other in my life and I have become very accustomed to the lifestyle we’ve enjoyed over the last few years”.
“But oh boy, I would if I could!!!!”
“… I think my classroom days are over.
    I can’t do it anymore.
    I’m out.”

    Seeya hon.

Next month she’ll be pissing and moaning about chalk.

  14. Wow, this person sure looks at things differently than me! This makes me think of Michael Malice’s premise in the earlier post that, by and large, you can’t change someone else’s viewpoints. I am also reminded of Stephan Molynuex’ presentation on “r” vs “K” genetically determined personalities. The socialists are all “r”s and it’s very difficult to change their outlook.

    1. Fakebook account. Used my Fake persona on Fakebook, to wish her the best…….sort of but not really.

  15. and another dedicated pedagogue retreats into the the bubble of, “when the goin’ gets tough, the tough get goin’.”

  16. Maybe try teaching them something instead of brainwashing them with socialist crap. They might be a little more receptive.

  17. No teacher ever respected your agent.
    Never respected a teacher back.
As for the whine … I don’t care.
They want to indoctrinate, oh yes, look in the mirror, teacher lady.
    Go sell shoes or something.

  18. there seems to be at least 2 “educators” named “Jessica Wildfire” in the US… I’m curious which state allows students to carry firearms into the classroom…

  19. Dear Jessica,

Don’t let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you…

Signed, The Parents that Want Change in the Public Schools

  20. I laughed at the lack of self awareness in this comment on that story.

    They want conservative indoctrination centers.

Of course they do. Data shows that when people get a real education, they become democrats. That doesn’t work for them. So they need school to be a place where kids are indoctrinated instead of educated. I’m sorry you’re in that position.

What a dumb useless twat. Always give all these types even less tolerance than they would give you.

  21. If you’re open to visiting the Woke Twilight Zone, read through the comments on the teacher’s article. The general consensus is that the majority of university grads vote Left so therefore Leftism must be the better choice for society. Facts, logic, common sense – none of these matter. Idiots!

  22. Well then BITCH…..?? Fk off and stay fked off.

ZERO fks given for the whinning Marxist CRT/Eugenics Teaching KARENS and their $ 85,000/Annual Salary…..hit the street and Suck dicks for 65 a throw for all I care…..bitches.

Anyone in NORTH AMERICA that sends their kids to Public Schools: MASKED, Daily Leftist Indoctrination, under threat of being TransGendered by said school & now potentially involuntarily VAXXED…?? Has got their Woke ass firmly planted around their Cranium.

    PULL EM the hell OUT..!!!!

  23. “Our last president said it best:
    I love the poorly educated.”

Well they sure are better off than the mis-educated.

  24. “Imagine a bunch of people with different views and experiences, all randomly thrown together in a room and asked to. . . debate topics like abortion and global warming. ” The horror! The horror!

  25. That was one of the most insane things I’ve ever read. Had to read another one of her posts to be sure it wasn’t satire.
    It is pure insanity
