He clearly doesn’t give a damn about the rampant homelessness and squalor, the destruction of countless small businesses, the water, fire, and power problems. I don’t understand the negativity towards Gavin Newsom. Have you seen his hair? It is beautiful, it is Justin Trudeau-like. I would vote for Gavin over the white supremacist, as noted by the LA Times, named Larry Elder.

I do not understand the need to register to vote in the States. Canada’s system of sending voter cards to adults at last known address (from tax return) seems simpler and keeps private any party affiliation or voter tendencies. Might voter registration be the foundation of voter irregularities, or at least an important prong?
You lose the voting tendencies (% females voting Democrat etc), but the privacy seems so much more important. Yes? No?

Something very curious has happened during this recall election. The polls have reversed their customary pattern. In the last 30-40 years … the polls acted as a voter suppression tool. Right from the beginning of a race, the Democrats would be favored with insurmountable, double-digit leads … all the way up till the last week. Then the polls would tighten as the pollsters sought to “correct” their false polls … being able to cite their “accuracy” after the election was over. But the last minute shift also was a “shocking” reminder to get out the vote! “The Republicans JUST MIGHT WIN!!!! OMG! Hurry … go vote Democrats! THAT has been the State and National pattern of polling for 30 years.
But that pattern has been REVERSED for this Newsom recall election. Since Elder got in the race, the polls have been a toss up … or even in the recall favor. But NOW … SUDDENLY … in the final week of the election, the polls are showing a MASSIVE 20 point swing in Newsom’s favor toward NO recall. How very, very, strange. Now … it almost appears as though the polls are being set up to justify another massive election theft. The pattern doesn’t fit. There’s something REALLY REALLY wrong here … these polls make no sense.
I swear that in the 2020 presidential election the media knew exactly where the fix was in. Trump was 15% ahead in the count in Virginia when it was called for Biden. In the swing states that swung for Biden after election day, the media refused to call many of them despite huge Trump leads. And not one media personality said that Trump was ahead with something like 307 Electoral College votes. I had never before seen election coverage that did not include both elected AND leading results.
It’s funny that these people don’t seem to understand that you can’t just steal elections forever. At some point, there will be a response.
Common sense EVENTUALLY comes round. A prime example … on my local NextDoor app, a cranky male Karen was whining and complaining because a Safeway Manager wasn’t wearing a mask. Then! When this Karen “confronted” the Manager, she said that she has asthma and masks interfered with her breathing. Of course the (male) Karen went apoplectic.
A month ago, everyone who responded would have all joined in condemning the maskless Manager. But NO! At least HALF the comments told the busybody Karen to mind her own business, and if he was vaccinated … he should have no fear. Seems that common sense and a residual desire for fucking NORMALCY has crept into the General Public.
I am encouraged. Encouraged that our People will no longer put up with the Totalitarian State.
I’ve said this here before and I’ll say it again. There’s no way in hell California’s version of The Swamp/Deep State lets Elder win. Democrats across the country have been emboldened by what they were able to accomplish last November with Trump and it’s “The New Normal” from here on out. Stolen elections as far as the eye can see. Democracy is now an endangered species.

If you are wondering what is going on…just recall the drug dealer caught with over 300 recall ballots on the same day they were sent out to the public. I’m sure he was one of many in possession of bulk ballots. These ballots are filled out in the name of the original recipient and sent in early…which is why a large number of voters are being told they already voted. It’s one of the reasons the legislature voted to guarantee mailed ballots to all registered voters the second a recall election looked likely. If everyone gets a ballot no matter what, it removes the confusion of determining who requested one. As it is they can use all registered voters as potential fake votes.
You may, also, recall that the reporter noted that the ballots the drug dealer possessed were not related to the other ballot thefts (of which nothing was ever reported, and the “journalist” never elaborated or followed up). Basically, these thefts gave bulk ballots to individuals across the state. I assure you that the San Fernando valley voters are not alone in having a surrogate place their votes.
Finally, there is no recourse to address any of this. The legislative branch and the AG of California will assure that nothing is ever looked at too closely. Newsom with a comfortable win.
If I were a California Democrat I would cheat like freaking hell. They’ve attached such a toxic stigma to questioning the voting process when they win that nobody would dare raise any doubts at this point.
