    1. If Junior had really been given the shot, he wouldn’t be bleeding, considering one of the known side-effects is clotting.

  2. O’Toole needs to keep Justin honest. As soon as he’s PM, O’Toole needs to flood the civilian market with assault weapons (all unregistered)

  3. If we had Max instead of this O’Toole variant, then we would have a real debate and Trudeau would lose it.

    As things stand, we have O’Toole’s tendency to say “I agree in part” or “I agree in whole” or “You can probably get me to agree eventually.”

    Most voters upon hearing that figure might as well vote some other way, don’t want a three-quarters Trudeau agenda run by nicer people, we want MAX and we need Max.

    It’s the same old flim-flam as every other election, “don’t split the vote” ending up with variants of the Liberal agenda and no real change to anything. Time for conservatives broadly speaking to figure this out and do the right thing.

  6. O’Toole should do himself, his party and this country a favor and stop talking about assault rifles and start talking about the real gun problem, gang on gang violence in the major centers. You leave the big city and crime drops to petty theft.

    Enact tougher laws on people who use guns in the city. If you shoot and kill someone, you face the death penalty within 48 hours of conviction with no chance of appeal. If you seriously injure someone you go to jail for life with no chance of parole. If you shoot at someone, 20 years in jail with a minimum 10 years required served. Take the decision away from the idiot judges with mandatory sentencing. Let all the non-violent criminals out and make their sentences a repayment of their crime.

    Gun crimes would drop to near zero in less than one political term. Then re-run on your zero crime record and fix the debt-deficit problem.

    1. But the Supreme Court would never allow that, and the Government of Canada long ago excused itself making decisions and hand over ultimate power to the Supreme Court.

  7. “Marginalized communities” commit a disproportionate number of gun crimes. So lock them up … “disproportionately”. Sounds like a LOGICAL solution. Get these dangerous criminals off the street. Bullets tearing through flesh and bone don’t know a damn thing about the color of the shooter … or their social status.

  9. Agree with Steve from Rockwood, emphasizing the war on criminals vrs the war on honest shooters is the way to go but after thirty years of propaganda, the Pavlov’s bell is ‘assault weapons’. This has two purposes. 1. an immediate distraction to a crisis. The first was to take the heat off the SNC corruption. The second ban and bill was to cover the WE corruption. In both cases the public reacted as programed. 2. introduce a wedge issue which would be pulled out when needed. Then the public would be enraged by assault weapons, conservatives politicians would say anything to divert the attack and dissention would break out and split the vote.
    I see here the strategy is working. Goebbels would be proud.

    1. The proper response is to ask if the current assault weapon ban stopped the recent shootings in Toronto.

    We was pelted with gravel by the anti-Asshole crowd.

    Now,because Punish the Liberals” is the theme Justine imposed on this snap election,his dreary yes man routine might work.
    But ,he and his policies represent nothing of me.
    I am paying taxation without representation,especially during these last two years,where Emperor Justine has ruled as if he holds a massive majority and our “loyal opposition” has aided and abetted his behaviour.
    The only thing they proved during this “emergency” is shelf stocking clerks are essential,our federal Members of Parliament are not.
    Under this “emergency” we have learnt much of value.
    We have no inalienable rights nor freedoms,not even those the Magna Carta gave British Freemen .
    We own nothing,that government cannot steal with impunity.
    The State considers itself superior over the individual.

    The same State,made up of people who could not hold a job in any competitive field,tells us it can stop a virus from spreading..
    From the very same persons who cannot balance a budget.cannot stop drug smuggling,or invasive plant species,but they claim they can stop a virus from doing viral spread.
    (And we must believe them all laughter will be illegal once they get their censorship laws imposed.)
    And the power hungry believe they must support the State ,as it destroys the citizens…
