As far as the mainstream media is concerned, the main purpose of a story on Ivermectin is not to discuss the topic seriously and to seek the opinions of trained medical professionals who have actually used it successfully to treat Covid, but to promote the narrative that it is a dangerous fringe treatment pursued only by crazy people. It’s all about the primacy of consciousness: Pierre Kory and Joseph Varon will not exist if we simply refuse to believe that they do.

In the U.S., prescriptions for ivermectin have increased 24-fold from pre-pandemic levels.

There have also been reports of people ingesting veterinary formulas intended for horses, sheep and cattle, which don’t require a prescription. Purchases have increased and the owner of a Calgary feed store was forced to hide his stock of the dewormer after getting numerous calls.

  1. Too many legitimate doctors with their success stories in the US, successfully treating patients with Ivermectin, to mention.
    Start with DR Kory, DR Vlad Zelenko, the champion of the Zpac treatment.
    I guess the mediots don’t know this Google search engine thingy, or Duck Duck Go.
    We know the media is glaringly stupid, but, they are also agents of their leftist government partners.
    This “pandemic” could have been over last year, with Ivermectin, but hey, totalitarian control of the populace is a once in a lifetime opportunity for every self-centred psychopathic political leader. Governments don’t even appear to have the slightest interest in investigating or running trials. India and Japan, for two, have been successfully using Ivermectin. Wasn’t India a crisis in the news? Oh yeah, it mysteriously disappeared from the mediots attention when they broke out the Mectin!

  2. Gee, isn’t it funny how the stories advocating against ivermectin never seem to mention the Effects in India. After seeing their Covid infections rise rapidly the Indian government decided to treat everyone with ivermectin. Most of the Indian provinces used ivermectin but two provinces didn’t. The results were a dramatic decrease almost overnight in Covid infections in all the provinces that used ivermectin. But in the two provinces that didn’t saw their infections continue to rise.To me, the proof is in the pudding.

    1. That used to be my go-to example also, but now I prefer the Japanese response.

      They don’t mention India at all. They compare positive tests, hostpitalizations, and deaths from the half of Africa that did use Ivermectin against the half that didn’t use Ivermectin. And decided that, formal study or not, that large of a sample size for “anecdotal” comparison showed a strong enough signal that they’re going to start using it immediately in order to save their patient’s lives.

  3. Why doesn’t the scientific community just do a controlled study on ivermectin? I assume that has already been done. If that’s the case then the only thing they need to do is publish the findings, right? Why all the media propaganda surrounding it? On the other hand, if the study showed that it is somewhat effective, I could see the pharmaceutical companies trying to suppress the information in favour of selling vaccines. The government would also want to suppress that information in favour of using up the vaccines they’ve already spent billions on. So in my mind, the latter is the more likely scenario.

    1. Because it’s a billion dollar cost to do a proper control study in the US and/or western Europe. And without patent protection anyone can sell Ivermectin. Our system(s) are based on the idea that “if you don’t test it here, the tests don’t count.” Look into the history of how low-dose aspirin came to be approved as a heart medication, it’s an eye opener.

      Your question is a “who will bell the cat?” type question that shows us that we don’t have a health-care system, we have a health care monopoly driven by bought and paid for big pharma advocates. No one agency or company is going to spend that kind of money in the knowledge that everyone (and not just them) will profit from the results. The budget is too high for government spending because it’s not in a trendy or “woke” field. Until now, I wouldn’t have believed that medical guidance groups would place so much more emphasis on policing their industry than on saving lives.

    2. The Together Study led by McMasters University tested a couple of repurposed drugs, following randomized control protocols: HCQ, Fluvoxamine, Ivermectin, Metformin…. Only Fluvoxamine showed an efficacy greater than chance.
      FLCC’s response is that Ivermectin has to be initiated earlier than the randomized control protocols allow. OK, but this doesn’t really explain Ivm’s mediocre result, because so many of the claims regarding Ivermectin, are testimonials by family of patients who were at death’s door. There is an ongoing study titled Principle (Oxford, I think), so you’ll have to pin your hopes on that one. I know, I know, I’m puzzled too.

      1. The montreal study was never completed nor published. It was terminated. So it is disingenuous, to say the least, to say it didn’t find positive results. It found no results.

      2. I guess we get to see if McMasters is ready for “Prime Time”.

        The principal researcher is a part-timer who releases information before presenting a scientific paper. Those are tell-tale signs of self promotion.

    3. Because various entities and individuals who are making a bundle out the the “vaccines” are not allowing it to happen. The medical system has become totally corrupted. Why would the Ontario doctors’ organizations threaten practicing doctors to not use certain treatments.

      In fact the official medical establishment has effective;ly banned all treatments. If you are “diagnosed” with covid with the unreliable PCR test, you must go home and do nothing. If you become too ill, then go to the hospital. No treatment offered. Criminal!

      Remember, not everyone is on the gravy train, just those in positions of influencewho can destroy someone’s career, or make them rich.

  6. The différence between India and Japan and us is that the Indian and Japanese governments aren’t in the pockets of the Chinese Communist Party, recognize China as the threat it is, and as a result are serious about getting Wuhan flu under control.

    People are taking horse de-wormer (and, sadly, often poisoning themselves) in desperation. What they need is a doctor’s prescription for what is known to be a safe, effective treatment against Wuhan flu when administered properly—not a shot of distilled water.

  7. The establishments refusal to entertain any treatments and their insistence on vaccine-only was the main reason I opted not to take the vaccine. You can’t help but think something’s fishy.

    The people that advocate for gun control under the mantra that “if it saves only one life……” don’t or won’t admit that properly administered early use of Ivermectin, or for that matter hydroxychloroquine, could have saved thousands. That being said these same people are advocating for mandating a vaccine of dubious efficacy that has proven to have side effects evident now and may have serious unintended consequences at some later date.

  10. The original photo the CP used was a hypodermic needle when ivermectin is a paste administered orally. The Kanuckistanian Pravda was quick to change it when I pointed out the propaganda. The photo of a cow is still propaganda material.

    2. Media coverage of Ivermectin as a livestock medicine which only crazy people would take is a classic example of why you can’t believe anything in the media anymore. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to see that it’s a big lie. And there’s no way anyone will do a large scale controlled study because there’s no money in it for big pharma. Not a conspiracy theory, it’s a fact.

  12. Our daughter got CV19 in Mexico. Ivermectin worked. Other treatments were added. Full recovery about 10 days.
    She had a prior infection and one Pfizer shot.
    Five days in it looked like death was imminent.
    Twelve days back to work.
    She is a resident of Mexico and a citizen. All treatment was at home.

    I never saw anything like the claims of success in India and Japan mentioned in any of the TV channels I watch.

    1. One form is a horse paste – typically sold in an injector to squirt into the horse’s mouth. Apple flavor is popular.

    I guess it is just easier to just call prople stupid when they appear not to be agreeing with the media narrative. The Pecon piece (mentioned above) effectively does this. There is not even an attempt to treat anything Covid with objectivity — whether it is vaxing young people unnecessarily, looking at alternative treatments successfully used elsewhere, or investigating if the vax provides immunity or reduces transmission. The media must take direction from whoever is also pushing vaccines. There is no freedom of the press in Canada nor in the US MSM. It’s all conttolled.

  19. Ivermectin has long been used in humans, just as Vancomycin is used in animals. All drugs are used where an appropriate application, benefit and dosing regime can be identified, be it animal or man.

    This anti-Ivermectin push in the murder-media comes from a position of pointing at scared people seeking out the drug but getting themselves in trouble through have no idea, or guidance in how to use it, not because there is anything wrong with the drug itself. But they already know this. At this point I would derive enormous pleasure from seeing mainstream journalists rounded up and machine-gunned in a pit.

A lazy journalist writing an article confirming the bias of the institutional left in an environment where complex systems are reduced to hyper-political binary narrative is no more valid and likely considerably less researched than that of many of the comments above. The volume of articles and testimonials of doctors, international health authorities, and qualified scientists overwhelm the weakness of the NP article. Given the conflict inherent in major Canadian media, one wonders if the NP or any conforming recipient of the Spawn-stolen loot would dare write a story breaching the Canadian Covid (no out-patient protocols, just come back to the hospital prior to death) plan.     “William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura discovered a new drug, Avermectin, the derivatives of which have radically lowered the incidence of River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis, as well as showing efficacy against an expanding number of other parasitic diseases.”

    The only mention of farm animals is well into the press release when it is explained that testing was initially carried out on farm animals (and with great success). It is preposterous that the Nobel Prize in medicine would be granted for what is just useful for animals and not humans.
