   1. That’s funny as hell !! But equal to the sad life of watching fishing shows … is watching golf. I always end up hating myself a little … and wanting to CUT myself … after watching 10 minutes of The Masters. And watching baseball … ? I get truly suicidal.

3. The smart one is on top ledge plucking them off as the are jumping. The clown is the one below in the deep pool diving for them but he get an occasional one as well. Interesting watch.

4. L – This is way better than watching an aquarium, unless your cat is fishing …

   1. I didn’t see a single salmon make it up that jump. Did I miss one?

      1. I thought the same thing … but then I saw some that were jumping lower than the others, and they appear to disappear into the smooth water nearest the rock ledge. I suspect if the fish penetrate that low, smooth water … they can duck under the swift-moving surface water into the deeper, slower water.

         Just a guess.

         OTOH … I can’t see much wrong with spawning in the lower pool. But I’m just kind of lazy that way …
