A traditional vaccine makes one immune from the virus. This is not a vaccine as it does not create an immunity.

I saw a glimmer of hope in this recently. According to https://trialsitenews.com/la-times-article-is-a-cheap-hit-piece-that-insults-millions-around-the-world/ some companies are funding now in Phase 3 trials on ivermectin. As the vaccines get proven to be useless (Israel is now reporting very rapid drop off in vaccine protection) the push to get therapeutics will be on. If we can get therapeutics going that might end this insanity.
Of course I do not think the vaccine is or has ever been about controlling the virus so I am only giving it a glimmer of hope.

Not quite. The actual latest results reported by Israel’s Health Ministry are that, compared to unvaccinated people, those who are fully vaccination are:
– 39% less likely to be infected
– 41% less likely to develop any symptoms
– 91% less likely to develop severe illness
– 92% less likely to be hospitalized.
So, it depends on your definition of “protected”. If you mean a rapid drop off in becoming clinically infected at all with COVID, then yes, you’re right. If instead you mean getting sick and risking hospitalization and death, then actually no, the vaccines are on balance still working quite well.
Where are your numbers from? I got the impression that the 39% figure is a significant drop off from Pfizer’s original 95% promise regarding reduced infections. That’s a significant dropoff, but may be we are comparing apples and oranges. The other issue is that these numbers reflect relative reduction in risk (compared to a control group). The absolute reduction in risk ( overall in the real world) has always been between 1 and 2%.
Looks like I’ll be cancelling my vacation to Manitoba. Ha.

Lift all limits on gatherings and the number of people within various facilities. Capacity limits in theatres, restaurants and stores will no longer be required.
End the requirement to wear face masks in public.
A former coworker who lives in NB assured me that when the “6 foot rule” came into force, people got closer!
I lived in Manitoba for three years, I’m shocked the hardworking farming communities would tolerate living in Stalin like conditions. Frankly it sickens me, I hope there will be a class action suit against the forks in charge.
