  1. If this were the US and he was black, he would be called an Uncle Tom for daring to wander off the Democrat plantation.

Have Canadian Liberals come up yet with a racist slur for natives that refuse to stay on the Liberal reservation? Just wondering, ’cause I suspect they may soon need one.

      1. How did I know there actually was a term for “white” Indians who are “traitors” to their peoples narrative of “mass” victimhood?

BTW … I would be PROUD to be close friends with this man, and share a regular beer night in some dive bar out on the plains with him.

      1. I don’t think Jeff was being sarcastic. Sowell is kind of a rallying point for blacks who have, er, left the reservation and much of his work on welfare dependency, perpetual victimhood and ghetto culture is directly applicable to the Indian experience in Canada. Name dropping Sowell means the guy in the video is aware of it.

Also one of the things that initially turned me off of Sowell was the fact that he deliberately writes to a very low FOG index in his popular work in order to make it readable to his intended audience. I’m still a bit ambivalent about that.

        1. I would think making things understandable would be a good thing. Having read much of Sowell’s work I think more should communicate as well. Walter Williams was also very good at making economics understandable.

        2. Writing about complex topics using simple language is very difficult. Isaac Asimov was a master at it.

          1. I think Trudeau should lay off the ketchup. He’s puts that sh!t on everything/everyone.

      2. Try milk instead of pith in your corn flakes tomorrow? Maybe that’ll stop your friendly fire.

    1. Maybe he read a lot of Sowell’s work.
The professor is Americas foremost thinker, you have to admit that even if you are not down with it.
If Sowell added a little socialism to his writings he would be a mega star in the socialist/fascist sphere of things.
The interesting thing is that the guy above thinks he is deep.

      1. You prolly know this. Sowell was a marxist in his youth.
He gave a one word answer to the big question

Q: What caused you to turn away from marxism?
        A: FACTS.

      2. I must confess , I was not too familiar with him before today other than having heard the name many times. Harley quoted him twice in the video. Sounded pretty sensible. I did look up famous quotes, there is one about ketchup that is very fitting of putting the racist label on everything and everyone.

    2. With a great quote from Sowell:

“When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear.”

Precis of authoritarians training to be totalitarians. Nobody has a monopoly on truth, wisdom or morality, to decide that.
Those who say they do, like Trudeau and his C-36 or the DeMarxists and their fixation with race, reveal themselves as Marxists.

Those who have a problem with Soros come from all sides of that debate, so unfortunately are difficult to distinguish.

No need – top down authoritarianism, whatever its ideological stripe, controls information to destroy dissent and create the illusion of “fairness.” Yes, fair to them and their power, but actually feeding their prejudices and intemperance.

    3. He was letting us know what great men have influenced him. That is good to know. What is your problem with Sowell? Or do you even know who he is. Or what is your problem with this Indian?

    4. He also paraphrased a Sowell quote about affirmative action, time stamp is about 4 minutes remaining in the video.

  2. The Media is NOT in the business of information….they are IN the business of INFLUENCING opinion.

    1. The media is in the business of business. If a lie will make more money than the truth they go with the lie. Encouraging racial conflict makes more money than reconciliation. The media knows exactly what they are doing.

      1. Izzy Asper once asked his TV journalists what their job was.
To the usual blarney he responded: No, it’s to sell soap.

    2. How else would “Journalism” student feeeeeel they were making a difference in the world? They could never embrace simple truth and competence to be worthy life goals. They’ve all grown up in the click-bait generation. And their editors DEMAND clicks! Get MORE clicks, Damnitt!

      1. …. click-bait generation

Yes, news and comment is worthless to them if they can’t masturbate some peoples minds.
The more idiotic column, the more clicks.

    3. Exactly, tinkering with facts to sway opinion is also why we get the likes of Trudeau elected.

  3. The Main Stream Media needs to be sued every time they lie and twist the truth to the Canadian public. They are the real criminals in all of this. Which is what should be happening here especially. It’s time to put the CBC, CTV, Global on notice.

    1. 1000% agreed.

Excellent Video….unfortunately cannot already be shared due to said those Lying Propagandist Mofo’s

  4. Here is one thing you might see on Blackie’s CBC. Blacklock reports that the federal government will spend over a hundred thousand dollars on a pre-election You Tube video, explaining slavery in Canada. Blackie Trudeau will narrate it. I sure hope he wears blackface on the video.

    1. Gee, I wonder if he will explain that the only real slavery in this Country existed long before Champlain sailed up the St Lawrence….Long before.

…..and Just want to say that Thomas Sowel is one of this Century’s BRIGHT LIGHTS of common sense.

      1. Mohawk Chief Joseph Brant owned slaves (30 or so) so I think we should rename Brantford Waltergretzkyville. I notice Brant’s statues haven’t been torn down yet and I wonder why that is?

    2. Surely not. That’s pretty pathetic. Whose votes do they think they are buying? Maybe the idea is to have the thing ready to go in case more Trudeau blackface pics come up. It is absurd to try to make slavery a Canadian issue (even if the odd person owned slaves at an early point as part of the British Empire.)
Now, on a related topic, some of the early wealthy settlers were known to exploit members of the peasant class they brought with them, turning them into indentured servants and generally trying to obstruct their property rights. The Scottsmam, Alexander McNab is an example of just such a tyrant. But slavery based on race is central to American history, and I am horrified that Trudeau would try to make this Canadian. We are not Americans and a lot if this crap is undermining our own heritage.

  5. Lac Laronge is going to use ground penetrating radar to look for graves in an old graveyard. F’n unbelievable.

    1. Well, having lived in LaRonge in the past, if the graves are theirs, they’ll find out where Grampy and Granny et al from times past are buried, if they aren’t already located in the one on the reserve that is their responsibility. Stone markers cost money and have to be shipped in, even for whitey.

  6. “… individuals, once they get used to preferential treatment … equal treatment seems like discrimination.”
    [truth bomb equivalent of Hiroshima]

A lot of truth bombs packed in this one short video. And it looks entirely unscripted.

  7. My Microsoft Edge browser has blocked this content.

Just how far with tech companies go?

    1. Ditto. Microsoft is protecting me from scary thoughts and ideas. For my own good.

Can someone post a link please?
      Maybe as a tinyurl?

    2. I have refused every pop-up from Microsoft telling me that my “browsing experience” will be “enhanced” by using Edge. Fuck em! And if they FORCE me to use it … I’ll search for a suitable replacement for my Windows computers.

      1. Good for the heads up. I am about ready to part ways withthe communist boot licking Apple. Have a Samsung (I know, I know) on the way.

      2. Kenji:

        Yeah, me too!!
Matter of fact I had a bitch of a problem the other day getting rid of one of those Let’s Get Started dialogue boxes.

      3. Kenjii: I have an old hp Pavilion dv7 laptop that shipped with all Microsoft systems built in.
A couple of years I WIPED all Microsoft crap off of it and installed ubuntu as my OS.
MUCH more user-friendly and intuitive to use. Only thing I miss is windows media player. The trade-off is waaay worth the loss (and my computer doesn’t get raided every night for patches in their shitty system)

  8. What can one add?

This is so universal, it has nothing to do with race, nationality, tribe.
The gentleman obviously took care of himself rather than let the government take care of him.

It is tragic what the politicians are doing to people.
It is 100% low life in high places politicians that are destroying peoples lives.
Is it not tragic how they, the low-lying scum politicians pat themselves on the back how much money they spent on the natives?
Never helped one, except for those that run the tribes and of course the bureaucrats that run the show. Those are that are raking in the big bucks.

Don’t have clean water? How is it that they discovered that after more than hundred years?
What happened, where did the money go?
Of course, this gentleman and every person with common sense know.
This or anything else the gentleman said is common knowledge, a public secret that can’t be spoken about.

This will not change until people like the gentleman become critical mass.
Until then its business as usual.

  9. I love his comment that “liberalism is the new racism.”
I wonder if Wab Kinew likes this guy?

  10. This guy was awesome. But the usuaI suspects wiII caII him racist anyway. Wish there were more Iike him.

  11. This is an impressive man. He has focus and clarity and wisdom. He appears to be one of those very rare people who is a natural leader.

  12. Had a discussion while camping with a couple living in Vancouver who had emigrated from Spain.
I said journalism was dead, uninterested in inquiry, who use sensationalism and spin to promote their ideology and egos.
I said they weren’t interested in facts as a journalist should be, just promoting their career in our 24/7 news environment.

I called the news just another version of Entertainment tonight, which made the husband laugh while his wife had a pained expression. He told me his wife was a journalism student in university. She confirmed that and then said she agreed with me.

  13. Cannot access video – have made DuckDuckGo my browser and am still informed Edge is blocking video

    1. DuckDuckGo is a search engine, not a browser, try downloading Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, there are probably better ones also though.

  14. He speaks the cold hard facts. They apply to everyone, native or otherwise. I’ve worked with guys and gals like this, across Canada. Native businessmen/women, pay taxes, live in nice homes out in northern towns and in the Big City, like Vancouver. Or they are employees just like most people are. This man speaks the cold hard facts on The Indigenous File.
If they killed the DIAND, they’d save us having to pay civil service wages and pensions that you don’t get, for the guaranteed votes for LIBERALS, NDP, CPC, GREEN, and they’d have to get a real job in the real world. This man described the “reserve system” for you succinctly.
We are “governed” by a kleptocracy, like a biker gang. The past year of COVID Time should destroy anyone’s concept of “government” at any level in this country. You live in a Gulag and your replacements are being hoovered into this country to displace the originals.

    1. PO, Because the replacements are usually less educated, had a harder life, and therefore will be more appreciative and more compliant, us originals won’t be.

  15. DuckDuckGo blocked the video because Facebook is tracking viewers.

Is there a word stronger than “insidious” ??

  16. He’s certainly not wrong. In 1984, George Orwell described where this all leads. Richard Burton in his finest movie role at the end of his life portrays the most horrific villain in English literature:
    https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=richard+burton+1984&docid=608010328052031447&mid=2D1651E6F8E13427E85E2D1651E6F8E13427E85E&view=detail&FORM=VIRE

It captures perfectly the futility of the current world. The question becomes what is to be done about the “boot stamping forever on a human face”.

    1. Indeed, I’ve always admired Burton’s performance in 1984, and especially because he conveys all the massive evil without making O’Brien in any way a monster. He’s relatable and understandable even in the depths of villainy. I used to suggest a double bill of 1984 preceded by Equus, in which Burton plays a character remarkably like O’Brien. It’s the context, and not his character, that makes him a hero instead of a villain. The two performances illuminate and reinforce each other.

  17. The video is invisible on Firefox, but easy to watch on my iPhone. Great guy, loved every word.
