  1. Trust the science, they said…

“More than half of Dutch scientists regularly engage in questionable research practices, according to new study results that are likely to apply to other countries. And one in 12 admitted to committing a more serious form of research misconduct within the past 3 years: fabrication or falsification of research results. At 8%, that is more than double the rate reported in previous studies. The Dutch National Survey on Research Integrity, the largest of its kind to date, took special precautions to guarantee the anonymity of respondents, so its organizers believe the results are more accurate than previous surveys.”

    1. It’s all about money and status.

In the academic system, advancement, and one’s chances of being granted tenure, are largely dependent on how much funding one brings in. In addition, the larger the grant, the greater the bragging rights and, yes, academics are that petty.

Research funds aren’t given to finance failure or to prove that one’s hypothesis is false. The more successful one is, and the greater the number of publications one produces, the better the chances at having that funding continue.

    2. Until experiments are repeated a dozen or two times with similar results, don’t believe anything. I have heard the ultimate cure for cancer dozens of times yet here we are.

    1. The jokes write themselves.

I wonder if any of the one’s I’ve examined are…oh never mind.

      1. “I am not a gynecologist but I’ll take a look”.
Yah I went to that advanced Medical School as well abtrapper.

        1. I am not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV but I know what “they” look like.

        2. I’ve got the t-shirt from Las Vegas. My lady won’t let me wear it in public.

    2. They took all the vaginas and put them in a vigina museum
And charged the people a dollar and a half just to see them
Don’t it always seem to go
You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone
      They cut off your weenie
And gave you a women’s Olympic sport spot

    3. They took away our coochies and put them in a coochie museum. The lyrics just write themselves.

  2. Just returned home from 4nights camping at Grasslands Nat Park, Sk right on US border.
At east and west blocks we encountered several Quebecers enjoying life beyond Montreal. They all seemed happy to be away from lockdowns, curfews, anxious politicians and medical bureaucrats making life miserable there.
And yeah its a beautiful place, rekaxing, hot day and night, and the wind never quit.
Enjoyed seeing local CFL/NHL hero signs at hamlets, villages and towns along the way.

    1. Beautiful area, I used to run the elevator in Bracken down the road west of there until 2018. You also missed Gord Kluzak who played for the Bruins, he was from Climax.:)

    2. Aneroids – isnt that what weather men get staying ouy in the cold measuring the weather?

  3. In case your wondering when checking news in the media, white Canadians on Turtle Island are no longer called Canadians. They are called “settlers”.

    1. I knew that one was coming.
Our politicians hate us and want a shit load more immigration.
As our lazy society is covered by too many laws and restrictions to work legally.
So we need immigrants that are ignorant to Canada’s laws by their employer as they’re under the false impression that they have exemptions.

    2. Yah and Indians are called 1st Immigrants. Then Settlers and then Metis, because the Settlers created them.

    3. The mainstream media forbid any criticism of refugees, regardless of what crimes or anti-social behaviour they commit. Canada has had waves of refugees from Europe going back to the earliest days: Scots from the Clearances, Irish from the potato famine, displaced persons from WWI and WWII, etc. So you are a refugee, or from refugee stock, and not a settler. Tell them that and see what happens.

      1. Of course, according to lefties, being a “refugee” is the only reason one should come to this country.

More than 40 years ago, we had the Vietnamese boat people. I suspected that PET would circumvent immigration procedures and take in many of them. In a church-related meeting at that time, I voiced my objections to that. Yes, by all means, let them in, but they would have to go through the front door and jump through the same hoops that immigrants like my parents and I did when we came to Canada.

One loony leftist was outraged at that and had the audacity to ask if we had been DPs. First of all, she had no idea of how insulting that term was to people like me because, when I first heard it many years earlier, displaced persons weren’t held in high regard. Second, she further insulted me by implying that being a displaced person was the only reason for coming to this country.

Obviously, she never heard of, or understood, that the federal government went to Europe and invited people to come over. Canada’s post-war economy was booming and the country was in desperate need of skilled workers, both tradesmen and professionals. People like my parents, both of whom were journeymen in their respective trades, were in demand.

Even if I’d explained that to her, I don’t think she would have understood or accepted it.

By the way, I heard that she eventually went into the ministry and her parish consisted of urban Turtle Islanders in Lotusland. Somehow, I wasn’t surprised at that.

      2. How about this for a pushback?
“Are you calling me a “settler”? I am from a refugee family, you asshole.

    4. It reminds of that old Merle Haggard tune, “I am a lonesome fugitive.”
“I’d like to SETTLE down, but they won’t let me…”

  4. Daily Mail reports on a man being put on a criminal hate crime list, for whistling Bob The Builder tune at his neighbour.

    1. Makes not a lick of difference to our Politicians.
They started on this road of shaky science and are all in until it ends.
Look a the French President as he is all in on a vaccination that doesn’t work.

They just put the blame on their appointed ‘experts’ advice.

    2. Interesting study by MIT.

But I disagree with the notion that there are some folks who NEED to be “vaccinated”.

I do not buy that contention whatsoever – NO ONE NEEDS this shit in their system. Also the studys’ use of the term “Vaccination & vaccine” is totally disingenuous. It contains NO biological material whatsoever – as per Pfizer: “Synthetic Nano Particulate entrained in a Fatty Emulsion”. LOVELY……..does not exactly get me “thrilled” at the prospect of having this circulating within me.

Given the above, and given that this man made Patented virus has not been anywhere near what one would call Virulently LETHAL to pretty much anyone under 80, I see no demonstrable NEED whatsoever for ANYONE to put this in your system…..& especially now that MSM/Govts have decided to go the Coercive route….

Their virus was engineered such that it could be used in the Biggest psy op ever perpetuated against Humanity – All to STEER you to accept said inoculations as your SALVATION & ticket back to your New Normal….\\\\

(theres a reason here folks – and it sure as hell is NOT about Your HEALTH)

      Follow the $$$$$$$$$$$

  5. The Associated Press is reporting that 100,000 took part in demonstrations against mandatory vaccinations and health passes. Both left-wingers and right-wingers participated, though the demos were originated by rightist politicians.

    1. Pickups are the most dangerous vehicles on the road….. Uh-huh….

I’ve made several trips to and from my house in B. C. driving the Dodge TurboRam that I inherited from my father.

Yes, a lot of lead-foots I encountered on the highway were driving pickups.

But I’ve seen lots of situations that could have ended badly because soyboys and leftie feminists who don’t know how to drive their “environmentally friendly” cars. A lot of those vehicles happened to be Asian imports.

Many of those people also had lead feet and, no, using one’s signal lights doesn’t add to the “carbon footprint”.

No wonder my vehicle insurance is so high.

    2. I would argue that 40-60 yr old SUV drivers along with Audi, BMW, Mercedes drivers are most often the most Arrogant (_i_)HOLES on the roads….far worse than pickup owners (not saying there aren’t any idiots driving them either…but the above gang takes the prize for Lead Foot arrogance & ignorance on the road….

Living in the south end of Calgary…Im often on McLeod Trail heading South to 210th Ave….Speed limit is 80, I use cruise at 88 and get passed/cut off on a regular basis by the above crowd…daily.

      1. Yup. I saw that a week ago while I was on my way to my house in B. C.

The stretch along the Yellowhead makes me nervous. A lot of lead-foots, tourists, and Sunday drivers. Coming into Grande Prairie from the east was a game of hopscotch and I like to have a LOT of room. It’s not that I want to speed–I don’t–but I prefer a lot of space in case some idiot screws the pooch and we end up with a furball on the highway.

  6. 3 Texas Democrats test positive for COVID-19 in Washington, D.C.

The three members are vaccinated. The caucus did not release their names, but Israel confirmed her positive test to the American-Statesman.

    1. You know its coming….

When some Liberal/NDP/Green or AHS apparatchik comes to my door questioning my immunization record and wondering why I forsook the VidVax, I will first ask them (hopefully a male and a female), these Questions.

First I will demand their ID, as I wish to photograph said papieren ja.??
Unt then I shall query zee male: “Have you been circumcized.??”
Unt then zee female: “Have you ever aborted a fetus..??”

I’m sure that line of questioning will illicit a response..with cries of “none of your business..!!” – at which point, I will AGREE with them, & then provide them with a copy of the NUREMBERG CODE Article 6, sections 1 & 3. Once done, I’ll close the door with a “have a lovely day”.!!

      1. I dare yah Steakman. Ha Ha Ha. If you do you old coot you better have an update here for us Renegade’s.
Beware asking any male creeps about anything to do with genitals.
Creeps now a days may get romantic with yah.

  7. L – Is there systemic racism in Canada ? Yes, but only in government, because government is the system, by definition. Liberals gov’t. policy here mandates race based electoral constituencies for African-Nova-Scotians. Liberals, guilty, as charged.

Now, they’ve added Acadians, an ethnic group for a designated cultural electoral constituency.
Both only follow the logic of a post nation-state. Divide and conquer with CRT = Marxist (dys)Utopia. Any disagreement in defence of a Constitutional Monarchy is or soon will be a
    criminal offence or hate speech.
    —————————————————————————————————————————————-

“The Liberals entered the fifth year of their current mandate in May and have been reduced to a minority in the legislature following resignations of members. At dissolution they held 24 of the 51 seats, followed by the Progressive Conservatives led by Houston with 17, the New Democrats under Burrill with five. There were three Independents and two vacancies.

The campaign will feature races in 55 ridings because the province decided last year to revive four “protected” seats in districts where the government wants to increase the participation and representation of Acadians and African-Nova Scotians.”

  8. The “Greatest Show on Earth”, the Calgary Stampede wraps up today. From what I can tell it was a unmitigated success. Good on ya CS for going ahead and gettin’ it done.

The bulls handed the cowboys a huge dose of humility in the first go around but the cowboys fought back and redeemed themselves. A lot of Canadian bull riders hadn’t stepped on a bull in 6 moths or more. Takes a bit of practice to get your rhythm back.

The bronc stompers had a good go on some rough fresh horses.

On that note I’d recommend a tune by Calgary guitar slinger Steve Pineo, ‘Get Back on that Horse’. A metaphor for life.

    Yee Haw

    1. Nice Stampede summary Abtrapperdude.
Our City is decorated with flags along the major Trails. People dressed in jeans, Western plaid shirts, cowboy boots and Cowboy hats were seen everywhere in the City. This year’s Stampede is a success. “It’s a spirit boost for Calgary — we need something like this…..” says this article:
      https://www.calgarysun.com/news/local-news/quite-a-ride-successful-stampede-a-pandemic-blueprint-says-exhibition/wcm/71fadd73-b833-4673-8450-e0da905b63b4

      Songs of Steve Pineo:

      “Get Back on That Horse”
      https://youtu.be/1k6OeshtDLs

      1. It truly is a great show. One of a kind…
Of course have not been there since the early 60’s
NFR is great but the CS is very special.

    2. A horse (pony) story and more songs from Steve Pineo:

      Too Bad For Me”
      https://youtu.be/ghSuRHDHsM4

Like the song, “Too bad “… for me…
I have a photo of a very young me on a pony at Oka Beach. (Yes, that place)  Yuk, with short, wet hair, I looked like Elvis Presley!  I was supposed to look like Audrey Hepburn!

      Canadian Man”
      https://youtu.be/–AO8gRPIBo

      1. NR it didn’t happen if you don’t got pictures…..You on the horse at Oka Beach…Ha Ha Ha.
Nancy is a Cow Girl of all things…
        Just teasing yah NR.
First time getting throwed for me was riding bareback and double behind my 15 year older brother on a Percheron mare called Fan.
Did not even know it was coming, he cleared the gate but the landing was rough. No warning had no idea my idiot brother was going to play steeplechase on a plough horse. Ha Ha Ha

        1. I spent a lot of time at the Stampede at one time. Every summer for years. Slept in the barns on many a nite – sometimes on a straw bale and more than few times on the concrete floor….showered in the horse shower stall ha.

Back to Steve Pineo. Thanks NR for ‘Canadian Man’ a SP favorite of mine. He was the guitarist/singer/songwriter with the Calgary band the Co-Dependants. The lead singer was Billy Cowsill who headed up the 60’s group of the same name. They had a hit or two.

Billy had that kind of Roy Orbison type of voice. He could really nail it and the Co-Dependents had a pretty good run albeit shortened by the passing of Billy Cowsill.

          1. Here is some of Bill’s music, a great voice. Love the Calgary connection.
Billy Cowsill (The Co-Dependents)  ~ “Anna”

Billy Cowsill Live ~ “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonite”
            https://youtu.be/1QUNo_eRppk

I loved the “Cowsills” Family as a group too. I remember them from back in the day. What a great sound they had. Can only play 2 songs but “The Rain, The Park and Other Things” was a favourite. They sounded a bit like Cass, Denny, Michelle and John.

So now I get the connection with Steve Pineo. He was in with Bill in the Co- Dependents in Canada. Very interesting.

            Enjoy the music!

          2. Billy was batshit crazy, queer as a trudeau but a prodigious talent. He lived the hard r&r lifestyle right to the end. Man he could sing.

The Cowsills had that great harmony thing that only family members can get. Like the Everly brothers and other family groups.

          3. …. I got lost in the music tonight.
            Watch “Billy Cowsill, Airwaves Recording”
            https://youtu.be/B_lrvaJ3XiU
Read his mini biography earlier. Tragic. This aforementioned song by the Family was for Billy’s Benefit Concert after he passed. Their sound is terrific. Not Country, but still makes one happy. Here it is:

  9. A$$hole is poised to call his election, Liberals have been ordered back to Ottawa for August.
He’s riding high on his great success handling the Covid crisis, (in his own mind). He’s made apologies, handed out lots of our bucks, more to come. It’s a win, win,a sure majority government, no one can stop him and his complete mess of this country.

We think we’ve had a tough time but hold onto your hats and wallets, we might be lucky to afford beans.

  10. And now a news update. Teddy Bear Justin is wonderful. The Liberal Party is wonderful. Indians are looking for more graves and money. Islamophobia is running rampant on Turtle Island. Nazis are running rampant on Turtle Island. We are all going to die from global warming. We need more immigrants. Canadians are racist bastards. Did I mention that Justin is wonderful?

  11. “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” George Washington
