My 15-year-old son started feeling nauseous and “a bit off” a couple of weeks ago. He skipped dinner and headed to bed early, but the next morning he still wasn’t himself. The nausea had lifted but it was replaced with sweats and hot flashes.
It couldn’t have been something he ate because we’d all been eating the same food, and it would be bizarre if he’d caught anything because my house has been on a pretty strict lockdown for weeks, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It was when we started googling the symptoms that the penny dropped: my son was going through menopause.

95% of MtF and ~100% of FtM dysmorphics were sexually abused as children or adolescents. The dysmorphia is a self-destructive coping mechanism for the rape trauma. Start there.
Unfortunately, that ratio is steadily dropping for FtM due to social contagion and the general tendency of teenage girls to do horrifically self-destructive things to feel like they’re part of the herd.

Confession: I was sexually abused. When I was approx. 5-6yo living in Sacramento, we lived at the edge of a new housing development. We had free run of the neighborhood and routinely wandered around construction sites of the new homes. I recall being in a house with a local older kid (approx. HS age). I remember him dropping trou … telling me to do the same and he played “super weenie” (??) and probably fondled my junk. I told my parents who dealt with the kids family and I never heard of it ever again. I was too young to think much of it one way or another. Although I distinctly remember him playing “super-weenie” … hahaha ha … I’m so ooo oh messed up … hahaha ha
I tell the story, because it didn’t turn me gay … or trans … or anything. It’s barely a hazy memory. I remember much MORE about my alcoholic father during those years of my life. No, he wasn’t a sexual abuser of me … but I remember my mother bundling us up in our pajamas and driving to bars at night to look for him. That didn’t destroy my life or wreck me either.
