Dumb Sheep Herders

This sign was in front of a tourist shop in Newport, Rhode Island yesterday. How seriously are we supposed to accept the admonitions of someone who can’t write 2 sentences without making multiple grammar mistakes? Asking for a friend.

  1. I have never seen a child do such detailed and precise work with their crayons before.

  2. I’m still seeing so many people in masks in the heavily liberal area where I live just east of Philly. It’s been a cult for tens of millions of sheeple and they just don’t want it to end.

    1. They’re modern day Amish. Freeze frame a technological moment in time and look down at the infidels surrounding you who don’t follow suit.

  3. About as dumb as it gets, and I’m not referring to the misused word.
Example, I walk in, no mask
    Q. Have you been vaccinated sir?
Moi. Certainly! Have a nice day.

Honor system it is, and I am being truthful. I have been vaccinated many times, just not with the poison they want to shoot into everyone .

    1. If you want their head to explode, try saying “I identify as vaccinated.”

If they ask for proof, pretend you’re starting to cry and yell at them for being an insensitive bastard…

    2. G G that was my first take on this post, I am a dyslexic , and very prolific at fenning up spelling and grammar , but have no problem identifying stupidity and bias.

      1. “…but have no problem identifying stupidity and bias…”

You use a mirror for that?

  4. Fear and lies has made it that every unvaccinated person or everyone in general, is a asymptomatic carrier of the virus.

    1. All the “vaccinated” people are dangerous to those of us who refused to take the poison.

      1. OWG

Well….seems to me that if the mRNA jabs severely “lessons the symptoms” but do nothing about the killing actual virus, and as such, if the literature is to be believed, still allows and likely increases the shedding of the spike protein..? Then you’ve got a shop welcoming the Newly created SUPER SPREADERS..!!
        BRILLIANT

        A feature – not a bug….no JOKE.

        1. I have to agree with you. After reading one of the links that fellow reader provided, I have to wonder if after being vaccinated, one is prone to a rapid demise once catching covid again. It seems that this a two stage attack. If this is preparing for a fourth wave, hang on to your hat.

        2. Canadiens’ head coach, Dominic Ducharme, tested positive ten days after getting his second jab. Now he can’t be behind the bench for 14 days. The stands at the Nassau Coliseum seemed packed last night with unmasked fans. The only people masked were the coaches and trainers. WTF?

  5. The logic contortions needed to think or say that BS is down right scary. Those people cannot and do not think.

    1. The policy of fully jabbed = no mask required, otherwise wear one can be found in restaurants, stores, office buildings, etc all across America. Enforcement levels vary, but mostly it’s the honor system.

  6. If you are unmasked, please wait in our euthanasia section. Dr. Kyle Johnson will serve you some nice English Midazolam tea.

  7. Polio!

I hope I don’t catch it from an asymptomatic carrier even though I’m vaccinated.

I wouldn’t even want a little bit of polio. Or its variants.

    1. Apples and oranges. There is a vaccine for polio not for sars cov 2 aka covid.

  8. Your a dummy…

Were (haha!) definitely living in some strange days.
I wonder if they’ll make it like seat belt laws? Start fining people walking around without (this) vaccination proof.

  9. I guess now we know where those who lost their jobs in corporate media are working.

I have been aghast at the horrid grammar and spelling exhibited by the media in published articles, even to the point of making glaring mistakes in headlines. It is now an embarrassingly common occurrence, like the proof-readers were the first to be let go en masse by the industry.

    1. No wonder these books by Lynne Truss sold well:
Eats, Shoots & Leaves: Why, Commas Really Do Make a Difference!
Eats MORE, Shoots & Leaves: Why, ALL Punctuation Marks Matter!
The maker of the sign probably has a bumper sticker “If you can read this thank a teacher”.

    2. If you think it’s painful to read, don’t become a post-secondary educator. While I taught at Armpit College, I saw all sorts of horrible writing in the various assignments and lab reports I had to grade. (It’s a wonder I didn’t turn into an alcoholic after what I had to look at……)

And, yes, I got into a lot of trouble both from students and the department administrators for pointing out poor spelling and lousy grammar. (“This isn’t an English course, you know!”) OK, then who’s going to take the blame if, when the kiddies graduated and went into industry, they can’t follow a simple set of instructions or can’t properly write a work order? Oh, I forgot: me. After all, I was their instructor.

      1. well B A D , it wasn’t an english course, so you should have ignored the poor quality english. When my teachers ignored my problems , I rose to near the top of the class. Einstein, Jobs, Wright Bros, Branson, Bell, Da Vinci, Bush, Trump, JFK and probably Tesla, all struggled with english!

        1. A community college dropout lecturing a university professor on proper university teaching techniques. Priceless.

“I rose to near the top of the class.”

Unfortunately, then a third student was enrolled and the top got a little further away.

        2. Pretty sure Da Vinci didn’t speak English at all. May not be the example you are looking for.
English courses do not teach ‘English’. They go through the cultural literature and discuss at lengths the themes and implication of the works in question. They do not teach you to write good like directly, more work on the assumption that if you write enough pass grade essays you must have a basic understanding of where the funny little symbols are meant to go relative to the words.
If you work in Engineering the majority of your day job is ensuring you have clearly documented and configured your work so that there is no confusion as to what is going on. We are not dealing with interpretation based on how a safety report makes you feel, we are dealing with absolutes. Shoddy worded reports cost money and may even cost lives.
Sorry, but if you want to work as a professional, you need to understand how your language of employment is used and if you have a problem with that then you need to lift your skill set.

Also, in case you are asking, I am Phonetically Deaf. In practical terms it means I cannot sound out words because the subtlety of a Ffff, a th, and a ph are completely lost on me. I also struggle to correctly pronoun words I rarely hear spoken despite the fact I know what they mean and use them in writing. I spell by brute force (ie keep trying new letter combinations until the red squiggle goes away) and be memory of what words ‘should’ look like. Despite this I make effort to have correct spelling and grammar in any work I produce or my work will be rejected back for correction during review.

So yes, I do know what it is liked to be mocked as a child going through schooling because my spelling was significantly below the rest of the class and living in fear of Thursdays as a nine year old because those were the days the spelling tests were held. I resent the time spent in my final years of high school where my English teacher casually assuming I had a poor vocabulary because whenever I was writing a class assignment I would restrict myself in those pen and paper days to words I knew I could spell on short notice rather than the word I was actually looking for to express my opinion. Yes, formally speaking I have a learning disability but in practice I pushed through and learnt to write good like because if you want to be a professional you need to be able to communicate clearly.

So, yeah, while I understand that children in education probably should be given positive reinforcement with the subjects they have natural ability with because children are flexible creatures who are open to development, (young) adults in education are specialising in order to construct their careers. If they want a good degree – and by extension, a ‘good’ career – they had better be good enough to deserve it.

So, partly agree with you. 🙂

        1. It is the the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you’re shit.

        2. Of course it’s criminal. Then again, a lot of post-secondary education is all about “feelings” and “customer satisfaction”. So, if the little darlings identified as geniuses, who was I to dispute that?

  10. Lie, like a cheap liberal rug. I have a scar on my left arm from my so called elementary school booster shots, I tell the liberal biddies I had the astrazenica vaccine and that shuts them right up.

  11. Global/UNIFOR sent out the news story with a headline about everyone who received the first “show”.

  12. My parents made sure I was inoculated against bullshit. Wearing a face mask is like wearing a condom 24/7 to keep you. me and eyerone safe.
    “Safes for Safetey.”

    1. In Swahili?
      Ebonics?

Our public skools have ensured English is spoken as a second language

  13. The objective of what passes for government-funded education in north America isn’t to teach children how to read and write properly—much less “critical thinking.”

  14. The author of that sign was clearly a public school graduate and winner of several participation awards.

  15. I’d like to criticize but my grammar isn’t what it should be, so, glass houses, stones and all that stuff.
I’m trying to improve but it’s a challenge and I envy those who’ve got it down pat. Good on you.
That said – Incorrect usage of “your” and “you’re” grates on me like nothing else.

  16. Yesterday I went to our classic old school Italian market; effectively zero masks. This morning I went to Trader Joe’s to get flowers for my wife (a Father’s Day tradition in our home) and everyone (except myself) was masked—even the guy by himself behind the store unloading a van full of bananas on a warm sunny morning.

These people are absolutely desperate to hold on to their orgasmic combination of fear and virtue-signaling.

  17. Still waiting for the supposed intelligent, “leaders” of MHOs to fully explain the logic behind the mask policy of today.

If people are fully “vaccinated” with the experimental mRNA therapy, which is “safe” , and provides immunity, then why are they afraid of unmasked people?

IE, if you’re immune, why are you irrationally paranoid?

    Crickets.

    1. “…irrationally paranoid?”
I wonder if the sign, bad grammar and all, isn’t an inadvertent acknowledgement that the vaccine skeptics had it correct, right from the start of the big push to vaccination as a cure-all for the virus. A virus with its constantly mutating characteristics can never be 100% eradicated with a vaccine.

  18. From the front page of our local paper — “…a sleuth of half a dozen bears….” I didn’t know Sherlock Holmes was one of the local wildlife.

    1. I’m sure that many of us here on SDA are sleuths of half a dozen beers.

    1. Considering the Karens I’ve encountered, one can wear a mask on one’s arm, but one’s nose had better be there, too. (“Pull your mask well over your nose.” “Hey, dummy, you think I don’t know where the end of my nose is?”)

    1. No, the insanity, lying fuckwit.

But keep pretending masks are useful, despite just having had to go through lockdowns because masks turned out to be useless.

      1. Piss off, Allan. Not all of us are fans of bondage, like you and your sheeplike ilk.

    2. Why would anyone get vaccinated for a flu?

Why would anyone keep wearing masks that don’t protect one from this flu but do collect other germs?

Why don’t stores ask for proof of vaccination against measles or any strain of hepatitis, things that are far more injurious and infectious than this flu that China spread around?

    3. Delta is less deadly than flu (0.1% CFR .vs. 0.15% CFR) in unvaccinated people but is more than six times as deadly among vaccinated individuals. If you took the shot you ****ed yourself; congratulations. And no, you don’t get to blame unvaccinated people; they get a cold so shut the **** up.

    4. Yes. Madness mainstreamed. A bizarre dystopian horror.

Anyway, care to tell us again how three to four months interval between Wuhan flu vaccine doses is optimal?

    5. Wear a mask all you want, wear a fully body condom for all we care, but don’t expect us to adhere to your cowardly ignorance.
Clowns like you have no problem seeing intimacy ripped away from society. Perhaps you’re an incel so it makes no difference?
Is that you sitting by yourself, with all your friends?

  19. Never mind the grammar,we is moving rapidly to point and shriek.
Point and grunt has served us men well for lifetimes.
My question ,of these Masked Morons; How far are they from “Silence I kill you!”.
They serve an illogical position that cannot be defended using reason.
They are very comfortable imposing their irrational fears upon all.
    When called to explain?
    Fight?
    Or Flight?

Short lesson from our own history, reason, logic and love will get you torn apart by the Mob.
When The Mumbling Morons are a march,be sure you control the means of Peace Making bequeathed to you by Samuel Colt and Dr Gatling.
For your words will not work.
Just ask the Roof Top Koreans.

Those who incite the mob to riot are just a fraction less despicable than those who approve Mob Rule.

    1. I will not ignore the bad grammar. It is a signing of wilful ignorance, a trait typical of the left.

That this poorly-written sign is in support of junk science is a secondary irritation.

  20. Only an unvaccinated bigot would wear a mask at this point. If you see someone with one on they’re clearly an antivaxxer.

    1. Wanna bet?

I’ve met several people who have said to me, “I’m fully vaccinated” and they were wearing masks.

  21. Masks are glorious, masks are great.
Deny your enemies knowledge of your identity.
Is it time for the poisoned umbrella tips yet?
What about the “kiss of death?”
And of course is giving an idiot a “Liverpool Kiss” a act of racism?

    Public mischief is important.
When all around you have lost their senses, the only sane,by definition, act is to mimic their madness perfectly.
As I note above, you want a world of pain, you step up crosswise of the Mumbling Morons, become the scapegoat they so desperately seek..Try reasoning peacefully with that certainty of the indoctrinated.

We need a new country, with some very obvious hard cold facts stated as our reason for forming said association.
For the enemy within the gates will defeat all attempts to secure life limb and freedom.
    As Confederated Canada demonstrates daily.
And just maybe we could consider the obvious, without State theft and its “help”(Welfare) there is zero reason to form large bureaus.
And a century of lessons as to why we should never permit them to arise again.
    There is no free lunch.
That man standing guard 24/7,cannot be a productive citizen.
Takes 10 others to support that watcher.
We no longer have the productive number to support the endless parasitic overload of helpers.
Bankruptcy becomes those who feast upon and waste OPM.

  23. “Wear a mask all you want, wear a fully body condom for all we care, but don’t expect us to adhere to your cowardly ignorance.”

I’d call it an adult decision rather than cowardly ignorance … IF they were prepared to grant me the same civility.

  24. “How seriously are we supposed to accept the admonitions of someone who can’t write 2 sentences without making multiple grammar mistakes?”
    More evidence of Canadian idiocy.
One don’t even have to know how to read to point a shotgun at someone, hew seriously should oh-so-literate smart guy take illiterate old doorman when the doorman can blow his head clean off?

  25. The good news and the bad news:

At least these people aren’t doing a Fauci and trying to keep you in your mask when there is no (believed, not actual) medical reason to do so.

The bad news, first, you should never have been in that mask to begin with. It has no effect on the spread of any viral disease, and harbors germs, molds, mildew, etc.

More, bad news, the mask allows you to spot a stupid and cowardly person from a great distance away outdoors. It has been widely stated that contact tracing shows no one gets sick from COVID outdoors, so anyone in a mask outdoors must be a sniveling, craven coward and a mentally lazy fool. Masks are convenient that way.

The real bad news, at least in the USA, the mask was never legal, yet large swaths of the USA adopted them, in violation of the constitution. Ordering you to wear a mask, and especially ordering you to shut down your own business, is unconstitutional since you cannot have life, liberty, or property taken away from you without due process of law. They simply made orders, there was no one drafting a law, or signing it into law, nor was there any arrest, rights of the arrested, trial, or any other right followed. Your rights were taken away, and you allowed it, do not be surprised when the rest of your rights are also taken away. After all, you showed them that it was possible, that you would allow it with hardly a murmur.

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary”
    H.L. Menchen
