  1. LOCK DOWN THE BOOMERS and let everyone else out of prison. Time to pay up and do something non-selfish for once in your lives boomers.

    1. The very oldest Boomers are only 75 and there really aren’t very many of them. Trump is an example. Peak Boomers are about 65. The people dying in the homes are Greatest and Silent.

    2. Statements like that remind me that people like you are an argument in favour of contraception.

      1. Correct sentiment, but perhaps retroactive abortion would be more appropriate.

    3. Covid madness response is on the millennials not boomers. Millennials watched too many episodes of the walking dead and too many pandemic movies. Spending borrowed money on Covid was a millennial response.

  2. And, don’t forget we have practically zero deaths from the “regular” flu for the first time in a hundred years at least.

    1. Amazing that all those Covid precautions worked fabulously in eradicating the flu but did nothing for Covid. I can’t quite grasp that.

    2. The good news is that this state of affairs (zero flu deaths) is sure to continue as long as COVID-xx (and associated variants) continue to propagate.

  3. So far, we know that the government has screwed up on a number of issues related to the virus.
Lockdowns of healthy people have been destructive and pointless
PCR tests at 40 cycles are meaningless and do not signal active infection
Blocking treatments like HCQ and Ivermectin– why?
Closing schools when youngsters are not a source of transmission
    Giving the vaccine to children
The problems with all of the above can be readily verified,
    — with so much faulty thinking by government “health” advisors, their judgement can no longer be trusted. Why would anyone trust them regarding the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines?

    1. Your point is very true. However, in the mind of the government or those who control them, this has been very successful. There is a weak minded, terrified demographic that has been identified and the powers now know how easy it is manipulate them to do the ridiculous. As a result, families and communities are divided and encouraged to report unsanctioned behaviour. Neighbour against neighbour. Father against son. Daughter against mother.

This only the beginning. Our cities will either become Portland or East Berlin.

  4. Per michigan’s website, 70% of covid deaths are those over 70. That’s less than 6000 deaths in those under 70 out of ~20,000. It’s just math.

There’s is not a single lockdown or mandate supported by the facts. But then again, math is being redefined just like everything else.

  5. Another pesky fact: Canadians’ life expectancy has IMPROVED with the ‘deadly’ ro:

The current life expectancy for Canada in 2021 is 82.66 years, a 0.18% increase from 2020.
The life expectancy for Canada in 2020 was 82.52 years, a 0.18% increase from 2019.
The life expectancy for Canada in 2019 was 82.37 years, a 0.18% increase from 2018.

    https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/CAN/canada/life-expectancy

    1. Interesting, but macrotrends specifically states that these numbers aren’t corrected for the impact made by Covid.

      1. They don’t have to be. What matters is that In Canada people who die with Wuhan Flue live longer that people who die without Wuhan Flu, yes really.

      2. Agreed. Life expectancy is around 82 years but we have no idea if it’s been trending up or down through Covid.
The projected numbers from Macrotrends aren’t valid. The website specifically says so. It undermines the point of the post by stating the macrotrends projections are equally valid.

  6. Covid policy is increasingly driven by the stark inability of socialized medicine to respond to surges in demand. Health bureaucrats think not in terms of customers to be served profitably, but only in terms of exploding budgets. Hence the move to tie reopening not to Covid cases, but to ICU capacity.

  7. How many Canadians under 50 died BECAUSE of the Lockdowns and are going to continue to die after the Lockdowns are gone (if that ever happens). Overdoses, delayed surguries, undetected cancers, suicides. Just the ruination of 18 months of kids lives is far too heavy a price.
The health “pros” and the politicians need to made to own all of it and stand trial for manslaughter and torture.

  8. we NEED to stay locked down, so the Turd can dicktate the need for mail in erection…..election. and the O’Stool will agree with him!

    1. erection…..election

In the Prinz Dummkopf context, you may have repeated yourself. Regardless of what happens in the next election, we’re totally screwed.

  9. Folks over 80 passing away?! You could have knocked me over with a feather…
(Not being cruel; it’s only 5 yrs away for myself and the Mrs.)
I mention this scenario to the Heiress to the DaninVan fortune on occasion and she gets all upset. “People live into their 90’s !”

“Yeh, but not many of us…”

  10. Kentucky…. 5% of the population is 75+. They were 7% of the infections, and 50% of the deaths. Those under age 20 had maybe 3 deaths, on par with “death by tick bite.” The numbers on who was at risk was clear early on, but yet we (like the rest of the lemmings) ignored “science.” Looking at the timeline of number of cases here, you’d be excused for thinking that everything the gov’t did was designed to make it worse — and succeeded.

Oh, and the number of cycles for a positive test is now reduced to the point there 95% of the prior tests would’ve been “negative.” That’s why our numbers are declining.

  11. A true lock down would have included Parliament and all Legislatures so we could learn to get along without them.

      1. Agreed! And ports and airports would close. None of this “you must pay for a hotel until we say it’s OK.”, more like “cross into our airspace and we will shoot you down.”

If our government won’t treat it like real (and deadly) pandemic then why should we?
