  1. Lol…

I hope this is true, other news sites are reporting this as well,
    and, “send more money” etc…

I’ll support anything that brings about the end of Canadian confederation.

    1. The official language of Quebec. When the hell was it otherwise? I been around since WW2 and it was then and is now. What level of stupid is needed to know otherwise?

    2. Damn, I fought these bastards growing up in school in Northern Ontario.
French Roman Catholic community of English and French.
When we moved to the area, I was a fortune to have a French last name even though I couldn’t speak a word of French.
On the Buses was the most interesting when everyone just spoke French as I’m going to an English public school.
      Tabernac!

      1. Jojo, We used to smack the shit out of them on bases in the summer. my tribe can be very nasty, but the current crop are cowards.

        1. I wonder why school French being taught was NOT the French that was being spoken or used in the area.
Added to more bullshit that I didn’t need.

          1. Part of it is because Parisian French, which was what I learned, was a dialect that was recognized throughout the world. One could make oneself understood in Africa as well as in parts of southeast Asia with it.

    1. My late uncle used to work as a tradesman for DND. When asked if he was bilingual, he replied yes: German and English. He soon found out that bilingual doesn’t mean bilingual in this country.

    2. I’m not. I’ve been not-learning French since I was in grade seven. That’s when the bilingual theater started. It’s been a long damn time, and all along I never saw any point to it.
You don’t hear much French in Montreal, until you get out into the countryside. But these days, even Farmer Jean speaks some English.

Just another stage show for the rubes.

      1. You don’t hear much French in Montreal

I noticed that as well the last time I was there in the late 1980s. I encountered a number of people from the Middle East there and, unless they were from Algeria or Lebanon, English was their preferred language.

      2. I never go to Quebec, I try not to buy anything from Quebec. I also avoid French people as most of them are assholes. Not all, but a very large number. And they are loud. There are some good ones as well, such as my mother.

  2. Never mind that they don’t actually speak French in Quebec, and I got that straight from several Parisiennes.

    1. Bearing in mind that according to Parisiennes, they don’t speak French in Marseille either, eh?

      1. Marseilles is a majority Arab so no, they don’t speak French in Marseilles.

    2. And don’t think your high school French works in Quebec. During a couple of trips to Montreal, I started with a bit of my français, only to signal that I wasn’t from la belle province. I learned la français parisienne in school and that’s a distinctly different dialect.

      1. Mind you, while some Quebecois in Montreal rolled their eyes at my mangled French, many of them at least appreciated my making the effort.

        1. YES. On a x-Canada motorcycle ride stop-over in Quebec City for a couple days I used my petit peu French to ask a guy a question. He BEAMED and was very friendly and helpful.

The unilingual road sign though were rude – and dangerous.

    3. I learned my French living in Paris for 10 years.
It’s a while since I used it in anger, so I try to keep it working by watching French language programs on Netflix/Prime (they are less woke, so better viewing anyway).

Recently, I found a few which although labeled as French were actually Canadian French.
Almost unintelligible. It really is very different.

  3. The little prick can’t ignore the Constitution, can he. Time for Alberta to become officially English.

    1. Isn’t this sort of “officially” recognizing WEXIT? Borders, language, culture. Clearly Canada is TWO Nations … and spawn just certified it.

    2. Don’t forget that there are some places in Alberta where English isn’t the main language. St. Paul is one and Donnelly is another.

Mind you, there used to be towns where Ukrainian was predominant. My relatives lived in one after coming to Canada and my cousin, who was a young boy at the time, spoke both it and German before learning English.

  4. Quebec is an atheist state. Like all such cultures, they will rapidly fade into oblivion. There will be no pur laine Quebecers in 150 years from now. That territory will belong to a patchwork of African and Asian peoples.

    1. That territory will belong to a patchwork of African and Asian peoples.
Ya, just like the rest of Canada. Don’t kid yourself, the white western world is committing suicide.

  5. Another day, another act of Liberal stupidity. Le Petit Pomme de Terre displays his ignorance, arrogance and malfeasance yet again.

  6. Quebec acts like the biggest Indian reserve in Canada. It has had the ROC at its beck and call for many decades. It domiciles most Prime Ministers, thrives on more subsidies, feigns independence for better shakedown results, runs the federal bureaucracy through bilingual mandates, festers ethnic resentment of all non francophones, deploys fascist language laws domestically, and elects mostly federal MPs whose mandate is to screw the ROC.

If Canada was worth salvaging (it’s not), this move by Quebec should trigger the abolition of all federally mandated bilingualism. Quebec could keep it’s language fascism (locked into a North American Island of how French was spoken 300 years ago) and the ROC can speak in whatever language they want to do business in.

    1. Of course English speakers still have to pay for french and their historically English speaking institutions will still have be frenchified too… “Bilingualism” has always been a racket for the horse french talkers… all this coincides with the frenching and censoring of the internet with the imposition of Bill C-10. Its just an end of English speaking rights in Queerbek… french ( “bilinglualism “) will still be imposed on the ROC… the french language racket is simply being expanded in he Post Nation State.

  7. When the host dies the parasite needs a new host or it dies from starvation.

The rate at which the sock monkey has burned through revenue and credit, and the amount of money being printed means the charade won’t last much longer.
The only silver lining would be that it happens under his term in office.

  8. The issue for me isn’t so much about what Quebec has done, rather, what the other provinces won’t do: declare, as a consequence, that their own official bilingualism policies as now null, void, and redundant.

  9. Of course it has nothing to do with the election. Is there anything Blackie The Bisexual Pirate won’t do to win the election?? Steal an anti-Semite MP from the Green Party, make French the only official language in Quebec, and today he created a brand new federal dept. to promote dead Indian languages.

    1. “That should cut down on their tourism……”

In a Country where people knew and/or cared it would. So it won’t.

  10. My Mother taught High School French and English grammar and English lit. I took Latin.

  11. Just an aside. English Canadians are very stupid as they allowed a conquered people to dictate, as they still do, how Canada should function. Have I mentioned in the past that Canadians are very stupid? I bet I have.

  12. If you can’t whack your enemy your enemy will whack you. A condescension to Kates sensibilities.

  13. The French have shown far more backbone in protesting the Covid lockdowns, they have reasonably concluded that English Canada will take this additional affront with the same coward fecklessness they take all others.

  14. If this contributes in any way to ending this joke of a country one day sooner, i will be in Turdhole’s debt.

  15. Prediction: Once this occurs, expect Quebec to separate from Canuckistan by 2030.

  16. This is separation… but with the continued welfare stream intact and entrenched.
    Oh the gullible west ….

  17. Does anyone remember the Little Prick responding in french to a question about the lack of English language services in government offices in quebec?

    1. This is Turdholes seperatism in full blossom!.. Fk him and the Grade 7 Glee Club he calls a cabinet!

  18. Hey when Quebec goes French only, the maritimes will beef hooked, cut off from ROC. NB pretends to be French.
Bill Gates will be impressed with CN head office in Montreal. How long before they move stateside?
    Faster, harder.

  19. I will give the K-becers credit.
They come first and everyone else walks around with Lover’s Balls.
Why the west chooses to do so shows an incomprehensible stupidity that probably surprises even the Prime Moron.
The Atlantic provinces know who butters their bread and Ontario obviously hates itself.

  20. “It is a bad sign when the people of a country stop identifying themselves with their country, and start identifying themselves with a language.” R. A. Heinlein

  21. I am worried. There are a lot of English in Quebec — in Montreal and parts west. Do they lose their schools?

  22. Time to start tearing down every statue honouring a Frenchman, I mean genocidal colonizer, in Canada.

  23. I’m surprised Richmond BC, or several boroughs in Tronna haven’t declared themselves provinces of mainland Chinah, by now. Then there are the Surrey Hindus and assorted Khalistanian outliers of the Hindu Kush, the Mahommedans and Tamal Indians and what about John Tory, where does he stand on all this? Toronto banks are raking in massive COVID profits, or just general profits from what I read. Toronto is happy. John is happy. Screw everybody else.
The west will never separate, you’d need 47 different copies of the deal, in 47 different languages so that their imported Canada Health Care recipient parents could have a say in matters. None of them can even speak English, the “other” official language.
Wake me up when Quebec separates, which they won’t. They’ve got it too good. The ROC are run by a bunch of kleptomaniac, fascist dictators, each with their own “vision” and you ain’t in their gang, either. Like lobsters in the pot.

  24. The official language of Quebec French Autonomous Region will be French.

The official language of the rest of Chinada Province will be Chinese.

The “narrowing of non-French languages on signs” will apply only to English. Chinese-only signs will be just peachy.

    1. I suggested that in high school during the FLQ affair more than 50 years ago, saying that if Quebec hates being in Canada so much, why is it still in Confederation. The collective outrage from my classmates, as well as my teacher, was unbelievable. I began having the sense that this country was doomed.

This declaration by Prinz Dummkopf simply lets Quebec take another whizz on the rest of us.

    1. That makes sense to me. Doug could score a lot of points. There might be a challenge in the courts, but surely a decision would have to apply to Quebec as well.

    2. Fords too busy building french only ‘university’s… plus, no balls shit stain.

  25. I guess the reciprocal is to make English the official language everywhere else.
    End the failed bilingualism.
