Things You’ll Never See On The CBC

Brian Lilley: CBC has lost its lawsuit against the Conservative Party over the use of CBC material in ads during the 2019 federal election. Any reading of the law and jurisprudence would have told CBC this, their own lawyers warned them, but they persisted.

  1. Sure I bet Elections Canada will be all over ’em for those undeclared election contributions,in kind, by CBC…
    Yeah right.
It is only an offence,in Elections R Us wing of Liberal party,if a Conservative crosses their moving lines.

    1. Wounded Skunk.. Princess Petunia looks like his icon. All I can hope for is a deadly infection from those PrideParades they love so much!.

  2. So what, they sued and they didn’t use any of their money, it was all ours. I would sue anyone that crossed me if the Liberal party of Canada was footing the bill.

  3. Good.

It would still have been much cheaper to settle this with a duel. And we would have gotten the satisfaction of watching a proud gun owner mortally wound a CBC executive at a hundred paces.

  4. So how do we push to have the persons who made the decision to go to court against the advice of their own lawyers fired and barred from working for any crown cooperation ever again.

Wanton waste of tax payers money.

    1. Yup, we, or really, our great-grandkids, paid… Wil be paying forever …for this.

  5. This was never about winning. It was purely an election tactic to get a positive result in the 2019 election by derailing a lackluster CPC campaign. Didn’t matter if the suit lost; that would happen years after the election. By helping the Liberal Party get a new mandate, CBC locked in support for budget support for increasing their payola from the taxpayers. And the increased budget support would be more than enough to cover off whatever legal penalties were inflicted in the lawsuit defeat.

This was nothing more than making certain that Andrew Scheer lost. The NDP were going down the drain anyway. The point was to make certain that Scheer didn’t make any headroom with the NDP collapsing. They had to do something like this after the SNC scandal had made the Liberals stink worse than cow-pies.

    1. Quite right, and it had the added goal of draining conservative money when conservatives needed it most.

Another thing you’ll never see on the CBC is the news that the courts have awarded the conservatives legal expenses of about 30% of what they were actually forced to spend.

Another of Stephen harper’s major failures was failing to defund and sell the CBC.

      1. I too was disappointed that Steve didn’t dismantle and sell all but the rural service of the CBC. But I was furious that he continued to sell Canada to the chicoms! I will never forgive him for that betrayal!

  6. Anthing the CBC does is funded from the public purse and is, therefore, public proerty. Thaat means no publishing rights.

    1. Oh goodie, i can use all the stale jokes from 22 minutes, rick mercer, boyz in the hall, air farce, mosque on da prairie,
      GD clickerbox
      Marge SJW
      Mike from Canmore
Raj the sweaty one from da rock
      Wherever is Mike Bullard?

      1. Wherever is Mike Bullard?

I actually ran into him at Maxime Berniers’ PPC rally in Hamilton during the last election.

  7. Meaningless. The point wasn’t to win – they knew they would lose – rather to tarnish and distract the Torys during the campaign.
It was a rousing success at othering the Torys. The court decision is beside the point.

  8. This comes pretty close to topping my list of things I no longer care about.

    1. YeahWell, Yup, but then, it’s a very long list, and it’s getting longer the older I get.

  9. It does appear on the CBC but their final word at the bottom of the article says:

“From the beginning, our objective has been to protect the trust Canadians have in the independence of their public broadcaster,” …”We believe that misusing journalistic content and footage out of context in partisan political videos undermines that trust.”

  10. Well, the CBC executives and its plaintiffs, Rosemarys Baby and some other taxpayer funded shitstain got what they wanted didn’t they, Turdhole was elected by 23% of those that voted… not exactly a landslide but with the support of the brain addled bigot Jughead the Turban its a virtual majority.
If the Con Party actually wanted to win an election they would have to take on the corrupt State and Corporate Globalist Media that represents the Liberal/CCP Party, the Greens and to a lesser extent, the racist NDP.
This case could serve as a reminder of the CBC’s untouchable arrogance and their obvious ethical and moral corruption.
Unfortunately the Con Party is led by Stinky Oh Stool and Patrick Browns leadership team and they don’t have any intention of trying to win an election so they will not be taking on the enemy of the people anytime soon.

  11. this was a copy of what the dims and their intel agencies were doing to Trump, distraction for political benefit

so, the not a conservative party won against a not a news outlet , at our expense

  12. So what? Is there anything new hear? BS and then deflect. This is the MSM and the Liebel Party modus.

Bottom line is that the West has rolled over and taken no substantive action since the last election. No movement on distancing the West in the form of taking over policing and pension funds. No serious internal debate over a bottom line position on rights and interests. Eastern Canada is laughing and Westerners don’t even get the joke.

  13. Why doesn’t the Con Party now turn around and sue the CBC for misleading Canadians and lying about copyright law ?
I mean there has to be something the Con Party can do to fight back against the corrupt propogandists encrusted within the CBC, right ?
Why doesn’t the Con Party create ads that explain and illustrate to Canadians what the CBC did here, explain how the CBC led by an on air host sued the Cons to protect their candidate Turdhole from his own words and record., illegally.
Oh yeah, I forgot the Con Party WANTS to lose… ok forget it eh… let the CBC get away with this abuse of power, again.

  14. Anyone who has been following, Restore CSA knows the condition of Canadian courts and that they are a waste of time and money for conservatives. Unless I grossly miss my estimate of how many Canadians are willing to fix bayonets we are totally screwed.
